有時出街買手撕雞加餸,味道多數係原味、麻油味或者辣味,第一次見手撕雞有咁多種唔同味道,想試吓惹味刺激少少嘅,但又怕太辣,店員推薦了西域孜然手撕雞($60/半隻),話唔會好辣,仲好惹味添。打開個蓋,一盒半隻雞係足料,孜然香氣撲鼻而來,食落唔會太重孜然味,但就一定食到孜然嘅香,所以調味份量控制得非常好。選用土雞雞隻,雞肉肉質稍韌有咬口。除了手撕雞,還有古法蟲草花水晶雞($88/半隻),面層鋪上蟲草花,用錫紙包裹原隻蒸,這種隔水蒸雞的做法,令雞隻色澤透明、皮滑、肉嫩,錫紙還保存了雞肉汁,令雞肉吸收蟲草花的香味,吃罷的確滑溜多汁~
