鼎爺開設的餐廳一路都是走高檔路線,所以未有機會嘗試。近來終於開了一間比較大眾化的鼎家喜筷,主打食港式燒味,餐廳的裝修踢走傳統燒味店的舊有味道,變得年輕及型格,環境闊落開揚,周圍都會見到鼎爺Q 版的樣子。傳統港式燒味飯總有種頹飯的感覺,現在鼎爺將燒味飯配搭沙律菜及花茶,中西合壁,配撘創新。餐廳的燒味標榜無添加味精,即場燒製。點了招牌推介之一的鼎家柑橘燒鵝孖寶飯($92), 柑橘燒鵝配上燻蹄,賣相精美。這客柑橘燒鵝用上鮮橙,檸檬,青檸等鮮果醃製,果香會浸入鵝肉當中令肉質鬆化,配上用鮮橙熬成的手工製的柑橘醬,減輕油膩感。另外招牌溫泉蛋四寶飯($108), 有溫泉蛋,叉燒,燒鵝及燒腩仔,賣相精緻。每件燒味都肥瘦適中。燒鵝相對比較做得出色。除了燒味,餐廳都有提供不同的點心/小食,點了大眼金魚餃($48/3件),其實是將蝦餃演變成金魚的形狀,十分精緻。另外推介的鼎家脆炸蓮藕片($49),炸得香脆,不油膩。燒味飯配水果茶及咖啡,感覺截然不同。
