Restaurant: The Chinese Library

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 第一次踏足大館,不是為參觀歷史建築,不是為看名人展覽,更加不是懷舊,就只是為去飲茶食午餐。有點可惜!希望日後會再來走走。坐落於一座富歷史性的建築物裏,高貴氣氛已經加倍,再加上有fusion 的裝修及傢俬,The Chinese Library就完全是一間高檔中西合壁的餐廳。下午menu有點心、炒飯麵及少許主菜選擇,既然特意來食就沒想太多,每種類都點些一試。點心類都算有水準,沒有太fusion的感覺,只是有些點心加了西方食材提升味道,質素是配合到高檔格局的。我這個午餐比較欣賞是海胆海鮮炒飯,海胆味濃,炒得有中式菜餚鑊氣。主菜就選了填鴨,但鴨好像不是主點,餐廳提供了6種特色醬配鴨,有些真的未諗過會用來食填鴨,幾得意!但鴨是肥了點。這個主菜會適合西方旅客多點,More Fun and Surprise.今個午餐要二千多元,值不值見仁見智。
