To kick off the first day of work after the Chinese New Year holidays, we decide to go for something nice for lunch. Dondonya Shokudo has been one of the place on our restaurant list. Very often to see a loooooooong line during office lunch hour. We thought the crowd must be gone in the holiday season, but the truth is we have waited for over 30mins. It was a heavy snowy day, the short grain rice come out from a steamy hot metal pot. The rice looked shiny, and its texture was a bit chewy sticked together. Without having any topping, i already felt satisfied. Back to this place, the rice here is not even close to what I'd ten years ago in Niigata. Sorry.
