莆田每年夏季在蟶子最當造的時期都會舉行蟶子節,隻隻蟶子肥子飽滿,今年更有宣傳活動,$198有兩份蟶子菜式。冰爽酒糟蟶子,凍食的蟶子,用花雕醉雞的汁來浸,有清淡的酒味。鐵板鹽焗蟶子,熱食的蟶子,整顆蟶子釀了在鹽內焗制,進食時要在鹽堆中挑取出,味道比酒糟的濃。黃花魚,熟度煮得剛剛好,保持魚肉幼嫩,沒太多花巧的做法,但見到鍋底的魚汁仍是奶白色,鮮味十足。興化米粉,是福建莆田的特色食品,米粉比一般的幼兩倍有多,似頭髮般幼,入口感覺較綿、鬆。加入了紫菜、豆卜、西芹、花生來炒,加強了口感。
