It’s never a boring time during lunch if you work around Central and Sheung Wan, there’s always new things opened or happening just around the corner. And it’s nice to do a little exploring and take a breather during a long work day, if you can endure the polluted air. Just a while back I went to The Wellington, to try out the new URA restaurant. It has a very nice interior design with contemporary art displays. I’ve picked the Tori Set. Besides the chicken with egg and rice, there’s also tofu, sushi, Japanese omelet and udon. Everything is quite delicious, the chicken has a slight charcoal taste which was nice and not overpowering, the sauce was quite silky combined with the eggs and not too salty. The sushi was nice, the omelet was done just right, and the udon was al dente as well. The highlight of the lunch, however, was the tofu, it tasted extremely fresh, and the texture was very velvety with a unique, strong tofu taste and a hint of almond flavour too. The server then explained the tofu was indeed a special kind of Japanese tofu which was made in house. It’s a pleasant experience eating at the URA, and the venue is nice for a work lunch with colleagues.
如果你在中環和上環附近上班,午餐從來都不是一個悶事,附近或轉角總會有新店開業或有趣的東西。而且可以在一天漫長的工作中稍作探索和喘息,當然您需要忍耐污染的空氣。早前我去了The Wellington,嘗試新的URA餐廳。餐廳室內設計新穎並展示了當代藝術畫作。我選擇了親子井,套餐除了主菜還有豆腐,壽司,煎蛋和烏冬。各個菜都不錯,雞柳有輕微而不搶味的炭烧味道,醬汁與雞蛋結合口感很柔滑,又不會太鹹。壽司亦不錯,煎蛋捲做的正好,烏冬面亦很彈牙。午餐的亮點,然而是豆腐,它的味道非常清新,質地非常柔滑和有一個非常獨特和濃郁的豆腐味道,還有一絲杏仁味。問及員工發現原來豆腐確實是一種特別類型的日本豆腐, 並是店內自家製的。在URA 与同事聊天用餐非常不錯。
