儘管大家來自不同的國家,輕鬆的小食總教人易於接受及喜愛。香港人多接觸的應該會是東南亞一帶的小食,如台灣、韓國、日本、泰國、馬來西亞等地, 小食既能打開話題,又可認識到不同國家的文化。這是一個窄長及有點零亂的店舖,餐牌簡約地掛在牆壁上,若將明亮的光管調至暗淡,甚至乎換上泛黃的燈泡,從燈影滲出陳舊與簡陋味道,然後食客們站著用餐、閒聊,有的更抽著煙,那不就是電影中六、七十年代東南亞小店的格調。進入紫蘭花竟帶給我穿越時空的感覺,真意想不到呢!返回真實,店舖是一家叫做紫蘭花的泰國街頭小吃,用上了女性與人打招呼的 Sawadeeka 的類近發音作英文名稱。店舖內果然有兩位泰國女士在工作中。其中一位能操流利廣東話的女士,身材圓渾,十足一位泰國媽媽,跟她落了單後,她便回到廚房與拍檔著手烹調。天氣悶熱,青檸梳打給人清涼與解渴的功能。清檸味道十足,所用的是濃縮青檸汁,而不是新鮮青檸,所以味道特別濃烈。泰式湯粉是我的至愛,在曼谷幾乎是每晚在街邊的必吃宵夜美食。貪心的要了四寶湯粗河粉,湯面除浮現了一塊白蘿蔔外,其餘的全是丸類,泰國地道的街頭迷你版實難與這珍寶級的份量作比較。試了幾口清湯,湯底異常出色,絕對能與泰國當地的麵檔匹敵,難得的在香港也可嚐到美好的清湯,老公和我也極為感動!如斯鮮甜的湯底根本不用追加任何調味修飾,但入鄉隨俗是我的宗旨,萬萬不能捨棄原有的風味,從調味架中選取了辣椒粉、白砂糖、酸魚露放進碗內,泰味隨即活現起來。不嗜辣的朋友,大可放心嘗試清湯底,一定會令您稱心滿意!所謂的四寶就是扎肉、牛丸、魚蛋及豬肉丸。泰國的丸類多能達到爽口的水平,但至於肉的鮮味,則沒有香港人那般講究,不要期望太高便可以了。四寶中,以扎肉的質量較為突出。還是第一趟嚐到粗河粉。後來,店中來了一位香港哥哥的職員,他透露粗河粉是從泰國特別進口的。顧名思義粗河粉較為粗身,質感滑溜,相對平日常吃的泰國粉絲、金邊粉富有新鮮感。大塊頭的白蘿蔔軟稔、入味,亦是我的至愛。老公選了青咖喱雞飯,滿滿一湯碗的雞肉與咖喱汁,同屬巨大的份量。稀溜溜的青咖喱汁令我想起蘇梅島市中心,那芳香味佳的街頭青咖喱飯,每日黃昏經過時總禁不住一嚐。可惜紫蘭花的青咖喱未有令我回到昔日的美味去,反之青咖喱香氣欠奉,味道也較為單薄、淡然,先決條件已令人失望;再而雞肉烹煮得很老,茄子也沒有用上泰國綠色圓茄,效果的確差強人意!串燒是紫蘭花的主打小食,先要來了牛肉及豬頸肉一試。從牛肉及豬頸肉的金黃外層,可得知泰國媽媽用心的燒烤工夫。兩款串燒的香茅及香料的醃味濃郁,透徹入肉內,將泰式地道的美味盡顯無遺。牛肉切得較為厚身,相比坊間如紙張一般薄的牛肉片,口感卻是相當不錯。唯牛肉烤得有點過火,因此肉質有著不夠嫩滑的瑕疵。而豬頸肉油脂充沛,生熟度恰好,因此非常完美。又忍不住要來了冬陰功湯,備有大與小的份量,泰國媽媽謂小碗的已足夠兩人享用。紫蘭花的冬陰功湯較為 Home Feel,入口盡是蕃茄、磨菇、秀珍菇的田園味道,冬陰功原有的辣味及香料味,反而很輕微。由於串燒不錯,我倆再添一客雞翼。香港哥哥告知品嚐雞翼的話,原味是最佳的選擇,所以我倆亦沒有加上任可醬汁。雞翼烤得金黃、帶點焦黑,賣相確是吸引。牙齒與雞皮觸碰後,便發出 "咯咯" 的脆響聲。皮下油脂經慢火烤溶了,只剩乾脆的口感,味道帶著泰式的香與甜,非常討好。而雞肉亦不顯得乾巴,值得推介。整晚除兩位女士光顧外,我們便是當晚的唯一顧客。由於牆邊供放置食物的小木板比較狹窄,我倆索性將食物沿著木板伸延地擺放開去。一時坐在左手邊吃湯粉,一會便走到右手邊喝湯及嚐串燒,加上不時與泰國媽媽溝通,整個過程很隨意、無拘無束,不知不覺已到泰國媽媽清潔廚房的時間了。泰國媽媽來了香港25年,在港組織家庭,落地生根,不只廚藝了得,性格生鬼,用廣東話鬥嘴更是厲害。這個可愛的 Q 版公仔,十足是泰媽媽的翻版。想念泰國的地道湯粉及街頭小食的時候,可到灣仔紫蘭花找泰媽媽了。 continue reading

認識金蘭花,是因為一年前食友午餐肉的開年飯,那一次試過,無論食物和氣氛都很不錯,後來就在同一地點為瓜兄攪了一場包場生日飯。後來生意愈來愈好,老闆娘更在店子附近開了另一間泰式街頭小食店,就是這間紫蘭花泰國街頭小食了。紫蘭花地點就在灣仔晏頓街名食店,立食車仔麵旁邊,主打泰式街頭小吃。和金蘭花不同,紫蘭花面積很小,也因此,此店和立食車仔麵一樣,食客可能需要立食的。除了招牌海南雞飯,這裡還有串燒,泰式車仔麵等,本來想一試「立食」泰式車仔麵的,但老闆娘剛巧在這,更介紹我吃海南雞飯,那麼,車仔麵還是留待下一次才試吧。其實,在這裡是不用真的「立食」的,和旁邊的立食車仔麵差不多,有少許「面壁」位,而且更有椅子!但始終店子不大,位置不多,這裡中午主要是做外賣生意的。不過,店子採開放式廚房,在店裡吃,油煙味頗大,如果你是西裝骨骨或高貴OL,真的要注意一下,中午過後,弄得整個人都是油煙味就不太好了吧?推介的泰式海南雞飯賣相雖一般,但味道卻很不錯。雖然雞肉未算很肥美,但勝在皮滑肉香,雞肉入味,味道討好。不過雞的份量不多,還好我點的是套餐,會連一客串燒,這樣份量才足夠我飽肚呢。金蘭花的醬汁一向美味,紫蘭花當然不遑多讓,泰式海南雞的特點是帶辣的醬汁,這使雞肉更鮮美,用來撈飯更是不錯,開胃好吃。先前除了海南雞,老闆娘還強烈推介冬陰功湯,老闆娘知我有興趣,就盛了一碗我試試。這冬陰功湯辣味強烈,除了蝦頭和草菇外,還有很重的蕃茄味和香茅味,既香也美味。當想到這個湯可以作為泰式車仔麵的湯底時,我就更為期待這裡的泰式車仔麵了!套餐可選一份豬、牛、雞串燒,繁忙時間,串燒都是一早燒好,等待order加熱就上桌。因為已經吃了海南雞,縱使老闆娘推介雞串燒,我也不為所動地點了串燒牛。這串串燒牛雖有點韌,但勝在還很多汁,配點沙爹醬,味道剛好。吃泰國小吃,喝杯泰國奶茶,很完美。這裡的泰國奶茶是從泰國入口的,茶味獨特,多奶也甜,在吃過辣辣泰菜後來一杯,是最好不過的結尾了。從晚市到立食,從金蘭花到紫蘭花,幾次都是愉快的美食體驗,期待下次再來,試試立食泰式車仔麵! continue reading

Came across this place while we were randomly trying food places to pass time while waiting for a table at 22 ships.This shop is located next to a famous noodle shop where there are long queues at lunch and is most probably well hidden by the queue.The shop looked small but it was quite inviting because it looked a bit homely.The name was similar to Sawasdelight in CWB, but that restaurant has closed down and I did not get to try those lilac dessert things.They had a basket of cute business cards for people to take.Basically this shop serves noodles, curries, and grilled skewers.Since I came here a few times, this review is a combination of all those visits.They had grilled piggy meat which is rare in Hong Kong because it is flown directly from Thailand.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Grilled piggy meat, Grilled beef:The piggy meat was very tender and it the texture was similar to chicken.The grilled beef was nice too.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Grilled chicken, grilled pork:The chicken was tender and juicy and the pork was slightly dry but it was balanced by the lovely peanut sauce.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Fried prawn heads:This looked interesting on the menu so ordered it.They also put this in the Tom Yum Kung soup too.It was a nice snack to eat and they were extremely crispy.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Noodles in Tom Yum Kung soup:Gave this place another visit and tried the noodles in Tom yum kung soup.There are various of noodles to choose from ranging from vermicelli, cambodian noodles, glass noodles and parpadelle rice noodles.For the yellow and green curry noodles, I would recommend the parpadelle rice noodles because it has a sweet taste and for the tom yum kung, I feel that the Cambodian noodles taste best with it.The parpadelle rice noodles reminded me of the "gwer" noodles I had at Kowloon City in a Thai joint.In every bowl of noodles, it will have fragrant chopped herbs, crispy garlic and sweet Chinese radish and the topping you choose.The soup comes separately so the noodles will not go soft.In every bag of Tom Yum Kung soup, it contains tomato wedges, mushrooms, fried prawn heads which taste really nice and the soup is also really nice as the tomato is really strong.They also have a non spicy version of the Tom Yum Kung and it is really non-spicy as claimed!★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Overall the food here is really nice and there are a lot of customers already even though there are not many reviews. continue reading

吃過新開的flame後,就與友人往22ships拎定飛等位,一聽到要等6張大枱,心知不秒,只是7時多又未到與友人約定時間,就到處找點其他小食一試!其中一位食友是灣仔地膽,但也總有一些地方想要試,大家就到處看,見了不合心意的就轉場,合心水的就吃,這樣無定向的走,竟然為我們仨帶來了一點驚喜! 走了近10分鐘走到了晏頓街,友人想試的店竟然沒有開,心癢見到有串燒供應,就提議到這個店望一下,有泰式湯底車仔麵供應,惜要留下胃納給22 ships,那就來點小食!從餐單中見到有一味炸蝦頭,友人說要試,一行三人就走入店中,來一份炸蝦頭,也來幾款串燒,豬牛雞各一,也要一份當店推介豬仔肉,大家分吃,剛好!先來是牛肉串($10)和一串豬肉串($15)(後來才得知是豬仔肉),加上自家製的不辣沙爹汁,肉質不過老也吃不出有下梳打粉,豬仔肉口感不錯,再沾上吃到不少花生粒而帶甜的醬汁,是討人歡心的小吃!再來也是串燒,這次是豬肉($10)和雞肉($10),豬肉吃得出點點肉味,不鞋口而調味可以重手一些吧!雞肉也做得不俗,雖然是雪藏品但吃下也不會太乾身也沒有雪味!吃完串燒老闆也特地著我們耐心等一下炸蝦頭,因為是即點即炸(剛來問是日有沒有供應時老闆就已提過一次!才幾分鐘就來了一大碟!,基本上炸得很脆,可以一整個蝦頭吞下,吃了一隻後最後還是決定不吃眼,不過因為熱氣真的不敢吃太多呢!大家都怕熱氣一人只吃上三數隻!吃不完的就著老闆打包!其實老闆也有推薦我們試海南雞飯和其冬蔭功湯的,不過雞已一早賣完,湯我又不敢挑戰,唯有留待下次再試好了! 店子雖小但整齊,唯一要留意就是這個店的油煙味還真是很重的,在店的接近廿分鐘就深深感受到呢!是嗅得到的熱氣,哈哈哈!下次就來試泰式車仔麵吧!嘻老闆還說豬仔肉不是個個地方也有貨,故是他們的其中一道招牌呢!紫蘭花泰國街頭小食地址: 灣仔晏頓街1號安定大廈地下C舖消費 $20- $50推介指數 C C C 3/4 (5個C為最高) continue reading

新開的外賣店, 在長龍店車仔面之家旁. 格局都跟足車仔面, 不設坐位, 只有企位, 都尚算寬敞新張不久, 店員都在門口招客食物選擇不多. 主食分為面類和飯類面可選河粉/金邊粉/粗河粉等等. 另加配料: 魚蛋/牛丸/豬肉丸/豬頸肉...最吸引的是湯底有很多選擇!! 可選冬蔭功(有辣有唔辣) /青加喱...最平一碗$35 飯類最平$38有青/黃加喱 - 配雞牛豬海南雞飯等試了一碗粉, 冬蔭功湯底香濃 (如果有蝦就好xd)金邊粉很幼滑, 配料好有泰國風味. 丸類和豬頸肉都做得同泰國一樣味道!!!!!丸類自稱是泰國入口. 看到魚蛋.牛丸覺得不什吸引, 心想是普通貨色, 但一吃下口, 牛味很重, 再加泰國獨有香料! 不錯!豬頸肉與街外做得'成口油"很不同..肉質本身不是很肥膩, 炸完之後能鎖住肉香, 食得出豬肉不是CHEAP貨另外,外賣很細心的幫顧客分開湯及飯/面 最令人感到泰式的是湯以膠袋盛載, 用橡筋扎住~~店員給的湯及汁太多了, 也吃不了...看見堂食還可任加泰式四種醬油: 魚露/辣醬...老闆娘(?) 的樣子也很像泰國人, 細問之下原來附近的金蘭花餐廳都是他們的!!喜歡泰式食品的朋友不可錯過!! 還有其他串燒, 看起來也好吸引!! 附近的上班族又多一個選擇了. continue reading
