由於剛去完旅行
完全沒有胃口
所以點了cesar salad 焗飯
i'm indeed very impressed by the appearance of Cesar salad
it looks great and tastes just right
i like they put a lot of cheese powder on the salad which made the flavour rich
and the salmon flower is cute!

for the rice
it's also creamy and rich in flavour
however, it is impossible to be finished by a girl
so better to share among girls next time

I have a cup of hot chocolate to end my perfect dinner
it's sweet and just right
haha, i know it's a lot calories, but totally worth it

carbonara扁意粉比期望中出色, 汁濃但不過咸, 意粉硬度適中不是粉淋或發漲, 蘑菇是白色肉那種新鮮貨, 煙肉肥瘦適中, 啱我呢個怕脂肪的人. 洋葱 fine chopped, 好!

Ice lemon tea no good. 茶苦亦澀, 叫另上的 sugar syrup淡味得很...

不得不提, 我問有無 credit card 做 discount. 個男服務生很快答"無". Okay fine. 你哋門口個 window display 大大個牌放着: XXX 信用咭免加一, ZZZ 信用咭点晚餐送紅酒一杯.

來這邊上課, 之前在附近找吃的, 填飽肚子上課更開心。 (還是睡得更香?)店內地方幾大, 燈光昏暗, 頗有懷舊餐廳的氣氛, 但裝修是現代的。下午茶餐牌讓竟然有主打的牛扒供應, 這才知道他們是主打牛扒的, 但我是不吃牛的啊... (如有牛精 tea time 想豪一豪可以一試)點了香辣雞絲雜果仁沙律 ($48), 配咖啡。由雜色沙律菜、雞肉絲、花生碎還有近似千島醬的沙律醬組成, 看來相當大碟。沙律菜不算非常的新鮮但是菜的種類還不少, 雞絲本身是不很辣的, 只是沙律醬裡有些微辣。倒是果仁 (即是花生) 帶點膉味, 破壞哂。咖啡已預先加了奶, 非我所好也。雖說已是下午四時多, 單吃沙律似乎不大滿足, 還得來點澱粉質, 於是再叫服務生拿來餐牌, 多來客藍莓醬厚多士, 喝奶茶 ($25)。多士約二公分厚, 已預先切成四件, 麵包是軟身多過脆, 抹上甜美的藍莓醬實在難有不好吃的道理。奶茶反而比咖啡好一點點, 起碼有點茶味。下午茶時間不用加一, 不失為一個閒坐或吹水的好地方。

這個就是主菜! 不太懂吃生肉, 所以叫了七成, 幸好沒有太熟, 裡面仍然保持嫩紅, 上枱時牛扒煎得外微脆, 內嫩
不知是不是真的10oz, 但牛肉別得出跟吃的不一樣, 有肉汁, 有濃濃的肉味, 即使邊位有肥膏仍然很蘇香
跟之前在美國帶回來吃的牛扒味道有少少相似, 我信這牛扒應該是真貨來的!
全塊扒只是有少少筋, 以這個價位吃到這樣的質素已經幾好了~
一向認為質素好的牛扒是不用汁了, 幸好這裡的黑椒汁是另上, 那就不會破壞牛本身的味了, 可能本身調味不太足夠,
所以微微點汁是惹味些, 見很多人一來到就把汁倒滿整塊扒, 相信這裡的汁一定很受歡迎!

這裡是個聚餐的好地方! 不過晚餐收費頗貴, 特別是扒類, 下次再來可能要剛巧經過這裡吃午餐吧! 不知意粉水準如何!

I must say, most excellent service! The staff were helpful and polite; smiled at you when you placed your order. Attentive and refilled our glasses when they were half-empty. Commended. I wouldn't expect to find such excellent service at a small cafe. They were also quite energetic and chatty.

Food:
Definitely the most outstanding aspect of this small cafe!

SO, SO delicious. It was smooth, appropriately creamy but not too filling; savoury, tasty; substantial - i think lots of pumpkin went into it. I believe they roasted the pumpkin before cooking it into a soup, because there was a nutty flavour to the thick soup - or was it a fragment of my imagination..? Could they put so much effort into making this soup? Outstanding. It's actually one of the tastiest pumpkin soups i've ever had.
Well done!! There were also crisp butter rolls to go with the soup. A small knob of butter was planted in the middle of the roll - no Anchor butter wasted! and it melted nicely onto the bun. You could dip the roll into the soup.

this is another star. Fatty cutlet pork, moist rice, melted cheese ontop, fried egg...everything a proper baked pork chop rice should be.
I especially appreciated the fact that the cheese melted beautifully across the plate, and that the pork wasn't soggy.

Great value for money, this. Chicken was tender, fragrant and not too moist, coz it's grilled. The skin was extremely thin and crisp - is there a trend for thin chicken skin these days? I didn't expect such fine quality at a cafe. If I come back again it'd be a difficult choice between this and the baked pork chop rice. you can tell from the pic itself that this baked rice can be nothing BUT outstanding.

When I ordered this dish I feared that the pesto sauce would turn out to be a disaster - you know, it can easily happen. Thank God this wasn't the case - it was good pesto sauce - pity they didn't give us more. This dish is true to its name. Of course you don't get the most expensive mushrooms but they were yummy nonetheless. Had a bit of mushroomy chewiness to it. They weren't bland. The pasta itself was cooked al dente. The garlic taste wasn't too strong - didn't make my mouth stink afterwards.

The udon itself is not the regular kind of udon...it's more translucent, and extremely bouncy. I dunno how to describe it in english. Hence 'bouncy'. it 'bounces' off your teeth.
The broth was quite nice and clear, no MSG; the original broth was a 'broth from hell' (i.e. spicy) but we asked whether we could change it to a clear broth, and he said Okay, so we changed.
The BBQ pork is typical jap-style bbq pork. I much prefer the HK-style BBQ pork over this. Oh well. Dumplings were extremely oily - oil was practically oozing from my mouth after i took the first bite. But it was delicious =P. better if less oily.

Recommendations: (in order of preference)
1. Chicken Teriyaki rice
2. Baked Pork chop rice
3. funghi linguine
4. BBQ pork udon w/ dumplings

Conclusion:
Will definitely come back another sunday. I spend all sundays around this area. Should try out more spots. This has made it to my #1 list around jordan

早餐時段, 裝修中高檔的格局, 但只收茶餐廳的價錢, 早餐包括: 沙爹牛麵 (麵身軟硬適度, 牛肉都是發粉醃的) + 腸仔煎蛋 (腸仔略為煎過, 蛋尚有些少流黃, 可再生些少) + 麵包 (餐包, 不合我意, 多士會更好) + 熱飲 (最差, 原以為是即磨, 但原來只是開水的), 不過收$24, 與隔離的古老茶餐廳同價, 算底食了.

總結: 主菜味道算ok, 呢個價錢可接受, 有機會經過Jordan, 又諗唔到食咩, 都會再考慮~

從都市日報發現此餐廳,佢原來響新斗記隔離,星期一晚放工後黎呢左度食晚飯,地方唔錯,人少少,坐低傾下偈都ok,打開餐牌, 選擇唔多,價錢都偏貴, 頭盤 + main course + 餐湯麵包 +餐茶 既set dinner都要佰幾蚊, 我地要左new zealan rib eye 同 西冷牛扒, 兩個都係7成, 合格,唔會乾鞋如柴皮, 薯菜既炸薯仲幾好味tim埋單$128 x 2 加一服務費如果可以調低一下價錢的話,呢度不失為開飯好地方

每次上完庭,都要在附近找個地方花十分鐘吃點東西鬆一鬆,今次就在橫街上找到這家Café。是一間坐得幾舒服的Café,而下午茶套餐價錢都係廿零三十蚊左右,收費合理,總比去茶餐廳好。見有個甜品餐,問及服務生是日甜品係什麼,答案係Crème Brulee,就這個吧!未幾,Crème Brulee送上,顏色偏黑的,賣相已經不靚仔。吃下,面層的焦糖硬而不脆,下面的蛋既不算幼滑,亦未缺蛋香,水準有限。熱咖啡,未夠香濃,質感仍算滑,中中等等咁啦!

朋友病了,與太太前往伊院探望,晚餐行經長樂街,見到一間較新餐廳,名為(葫蘆餐廳Hulu Cafe),看見餐廳內外裝飾得幾好,太太也同意下,便進內試試!因午間吃了孟買炭燒的咖哩餐,還未消化,稍後又會往鄰街試試,阿蘇介紹的(佳佳甜品)。所以我們分別只選了三樣食品(焗芝士忌廉野菌飯)及(洋蔥煙肉白菌意大利粉)。另加一道甜品(榛子芭菲)一同分享。洋蔥煙肉白菌意大利粉:煙肉煎得很香,洋蔥很甜,芝士配上磨菇,很好味道;那些意大利粉也做得非常對辨呢!焗芝士忌廉野菌飯:用磨菇,芝士,忌廉焗制,米用圓身之百搭米,飯身很軟屬,添上芝士忌廉,非常好吃。榛子芭菲:其實是榛子雪糕,加上有桃肉醬汁及有士多啤梨嘅醬汁,那榛子雪糕沾上果汁醬汁很香甜美味。因本人較為喜歡芝士,忌廉,類食物,如不喜歡芝士者,請選擇其他食物!

米,飯身很軟屬,添上芝士忌廉,非常好吃。

榛子芭菲:其實是榛子雪糕,加上有桃肉醬汁及有士多啤梨嘅
醬汁,那榛子雪糕沾上果汁醬汁很香甜美味。

因本人較為喜歡芝士,忌廉,類食物,如不喜歡芝士者,請選
擇其他食物!
