本身叫個5安士薄切燒牛肉套餐,不過上菜完全唔覺得係薄切,外面比想像中燒過左龍,不過裏面剛剛好,算燒得不錯,切落仲肉汁既。不過有舊炸麵包咁既東西叫什麼布甸的,個人就不太喜歡。套餐叫左個本地水耕菜芒果沙律,沙律反而好有驚喜,份量足,料足,夠新鮮,味道好。另外叫左個燒帶子,又係有驚喜,5粒帶子大大粒,配菜豐富,十分豐盛,而且夠飽,賣相好多顏色幾醒神。最後一杯illy latte, 酒店收$55,不貴,好飲! continue reading

We were impressed by the dinner before so this time we came to celebrate a birthday. It turned out to be terrible unfortunately. 1st, lunch only serves set menu, and no a-la-carte at all. The menu was ok priced but the food quality was not good. They also don't cater for any diversity, when asked if they can cut the cheese in the risotto, they plainly said no coz their chefs can't do that (so perhaps the food wasn't freshly cooked?)2nd, the service is terrible compared to dinner. The waiter seems to be clueless for anything he went back and forth asking for manager every single time. The manager, well, was neither helpful or that nice.3rd. The food quality, my steak salad was tasteless, the steak was luke warm, salad had no dressing, when I asked if they had mustard, they said NO but offered me tabasco instead (but last time I went for dinner they had 4 types for me to choose from). The risotto was actually good, hot and creamy.. The fish and chips was quite oily and worse than street venders in London. The children's meal was actually the highlight, the wings were nice and they let me changed the mash to fries. Oh also, the warm bread in the beginning was nice.4th Lack of information, when we were about to order dessert, they said it'd take 20-25 mins+ to make it, if that's the case, they should have told us earlier and we'd have order earlier. It is day 2 of the Memorial Day celebration trip with my wife in Gold Coast. The buffet breakfast is included in the hotel staying planThere is a wider variety of food for the breakfast. The food quality are also good, especially the scrambled egg and pancake. Both of them are properly cooked. The bread are also baked well that you can feelThe natural taste of leaven. However, not sure why, but there are plenty of family staying in the hotel and the breakfast buffet is packed with people and children. You always need to line up for the pancake and scrambled egg, as they are cooked upone order. In addition, there are not enough staff to handle such amount of customers. continue reading

早前趁未到暑假,跟太太及細囝入住「香港黃金海岸酒店」,先行好好享受假期。主題套房除了包含大量活動外,更有早餐及下午茶提供,至於晚餐,就不假外求,因為環顧屯門區,似乎找不到一間及得上酒店的「海岸扒房」的西餐廳。難得有幾位朋友都是同時入住,二話不說,正好喝杯酒,聊聊天,享受一個寧靜舒適的週末。下午先係同一地點享用有趣的「主題房間下午茶」,想不到晚上更進一步,來個Fine Dining。下午跟晚上景色截然不同,多添了一些謐靜的氛圍,漸沉的晚霞,令人有種悠然放鬆的感覺。翻開餐牌,最吸引的莫過於「 特選燒牛肉套餐」;由$358起跳,可任選$118以下的前菜/湯/沙律/甜品,真係相當划算。除了自己一家外,仲有幾位朋友一齊食飯,仲好,可以點多幾樣大家share。前菜 Nacho 墨西哥芝士脆片($118) 混合配上熱溶車打及水牛芝士、橄欖、烤紅甜椒及墨西哥辣椒,尤其是脆片脆卜卜,沾上芝士味道更加濃郁,而且辣辣地,真係好啱配杯啤酒。Cobb Salad 科布沙律($168) 配料有烚蛋、雞肉、煙肉、牛油果、芝士、車厘茄及羅馬生菜,實在非常豐富,又可以配自選香橙乳酪汁或油醋汁,既可惹味又可清爽。烤焗薯皮($78) 囝囝就最鍾意食,因為可以蘸點熱溶的車打芝士及水牛芝士,薯皮表面更有煙肉碎、酸忌廉及青蔥,令香味更複雜。水牛雞翼($138) 另一款好受歡既小食,又係好啱送啤酒,伴碟有青瓜、西芹及藍芝士醬,但個人覺得根本無須蘸點任何醬料已經好吸引。湯 干邑龍蝦湯($168) 先上龍蝦肉,然後注入龍蝦湯,即時瀰漫淡淡的酒香,質地濃稠綿滑,可以話真材實料。朋友及太太點了周打蜆肉湯($88)及法式焗芝士洋蔥湯($88),兩者都煮非常地道,如果點了套餐,又不想食沙律的話,大可考慮啊!主菜 特殊燒牛肉套餐($358 / 5安士,$518 / 8安士,$608 / 10安士) 原車推至餐桌旁邊即切,烤至medium rare火喉掌握得準,而且配上 Yorkshire Pudding,老實講,就算係5安士,對女士而言,又真係幾飽肚,但個人不太喜歡蘸點肉汁,反而來點海鹽,令肉味更鮮。美國肉眼扒($398)(10安士 / 280g) 仗著人多,點了好幾款主菜,雖然肉質及不出前者,但配上時蔬菜、薯條、法式蛋黃醬及黑椒汁,都相當抵食,總之是各有捧場客。烤嫩豬排骨($198) 朋友一致讚好的排骨,肉質細嫩,而且非常惹味,配上烤粟米、西蘭花及粗薯條,根本要兩三個人分享。保雲蘇焗大蝦($388 / 6隻) 今次除了點肉類外,更有家禽及海鮮,烤大蝦足足6隻,有時蔬、烚薯伴碟與及可以蘸點檸檬牛油汁,令蝦隻味道多添變化。烤雞($168 / 半隻) 雞皮烤得香口,雞肉部分會比較「鞋」口,但總不會任何食物都十全十美的,個人覺得已合格有餘,加上配搭烤粟米、西蘭花及粗薯條,份量好足,一個人,尤其是女士們,真的難以將整碟消滅。香煎北海道帶子($288 / 5隻) 帶子質素極好,肥大肉厚,簡單的煎香兩邊,而中間保持幼嫩,再配以新鮮時蔬、薯蓉及澆上香草牛油汁,清新可口,其實感覺反而有點似沙律。甜品 雙重朱古力布朗尼配朱古力雪糕($108) 建議放到最後先食,因為朱古力味道太澎湃,好容易蓋過其他甜品的味道。蘋果金寶配雲呢拿雪糕($118) 雖然製作時間需時要三十分鐘,但絕對是店方必食名物,表層烘得酥化,甜酸度恰到好處,入口時要小心燙到嘴,配上雲呢拿雪糕,冷熱的對比,令人更挑起食慾。秘製香滑芝士蛋糕配時令莓果($128) 芝士味好香濃,不過好幾款甜品都比較重口味,未免影響了味覺。說說笑笑,又過了一個愜意的晚上。 continue reading

這個端午節假期,和媽媽去香港黃金海岸酒店住了兩日一夜,主題房套票包含一晚住宿、下午茶及自助早餐,晚餐就要自理了,於是,我和媽媽及同行朋友們,晚上一同去到酒店大堂的「海岸扒房」晚膳,方才發現,他們的「特選燒牛肉套餐」非常抵食,價錢由$358起,贈送$118以下的前菜/ 湯品/ 沙律或甜品,牛肉相當高質,必吃!「海岸扒房」對著泳池景,晚上七時來到,深藍色的天空配上椰林樹影,好漂亮。點餐之後,侍應先送上餐包,是熱辣辣的橄㰖包。墨西哥芝士脆片 $118科布沙律 $168烤焗薯皮 $78水牛雞翼 $138我們一行九人,點了好多前菜,最喜歡的是水牛雞翼,炸得香脆,雞肉嫰滑,蘸一下香辣的雞翼汁,分外滋味;我怕熱氣,吃完雞翼忙不迭吃著伴碟的蔬菜條,感覺沒那麼邪惡了。法式焗芝士洋蔥湯 $88+干邑龍蝦湯 $168洋蔥湯和龍蝦湯都是我的最愛,選擇困難症發作,於是決定兩款叫齊,和媽媽分享。洋蔥湯熱騰騰的,芝士很有拉絲效果;兩者間我更愛龍蝦湯,味道十分濃郁,還吃到粒粒龍蝦肉,真材實料。保雲蘇焗大蝦 $388烤雞 $168香煎北海道帶子 $288美國肉眼扒 $398+烤嫰豬排骨 $198來到扒房,沒理由不吃扒類吧!我們叫了好多款,都好滿意,尤其是肉眼扒和烤雞,前者肉味香濃,後者肉質嫰滑,喜歡重口味的朋友,還不妨點個豬排骨,BBQ醬十分惹味。特選燒牛肉套餐 ($358起)說到整晚的最愛,還是這個燒牛肉,5安士$358,8安士$518,10安士$608,看圖片就知道肉質柔軟,肥瘦適中,一大塊一同分享,想吃肥的、瘦的、生的、熟的,悉隨尊便,肉味一樣香濃;伴碟的是英國傳統食物Yorkshire Pudding,用雞蛋、麵粉等做成,與其說是布丁,它的味道更像麵包。這一碟美食讓我想起了英國的Sunday Roast,很有風味。雙重朱古力布朗尼配朱古力雪糕 $108秘製香滑芝士蛋糕配時令莓果 $128蘋果金寶配雲呢拿雪糕 $118甜品選擇也很豐富,全部大大份,很有分量。三款之中我最喜歡Apple Crumble,外層烤得鬆脆,我們放了在桌面很久才切開,裡面還是熱得冒煙的,好厲害!外層灑上了糖粉,甜甜的,與裡面帶酸的蘋果粒互相配合,十分平衡,出色之作。 continue reading
