(主菜:periperi chicken 配薯角,這度菜是我在cococabana 的favourite ,但今日食就有啲失望,因為個肉煮得好乾,冇平時食嘅咁juicy 。另外醬汁也比平時少 。份量就因為食sharing menu ,都細左好多 ,如果a la carte 份量是大一倍的,滿足感大減。

PS: 最后發現sharing menu 其實只是菜式種類可試多啲 ,分量相對地少啲,但由於menu 係fixed , 選擇自由度好低,會食左啲未必係你至愛嘅菜,而且價錢唔係特別平,下次都係叫返a la carte 好啲 。

great location and concept, decent food, but absolutely pathetic service and snappy waiters. we were there on a Saturday so it was packed, but there was tons of inefficiency and uncleared tables, while people stood in line. one waiter rolled his eyes as people in front of me asked for a table, and the cashier had to try to mitigate. still, she told people to just grab seats as people left. obviously, this was a source of even greater confusion amongst the staff, which only compounded the problem

The location itself is quite lovely. Really french like - Cote d'Azur feeling, quite exclusive there. Mostly Expats and foreigners there. Good place for people who don't mind spending a looot of money, otherwise you won't be happy afterwards.

1) you love al fresco dining by the beach
2) you're not responsible for the bill
3) you come in not too hungry and can wait for your food (and I mean waiiiiiit...)

It appears there are mostly food stands and convenience stores in Shek O, and Cococabana is the only sit-down restaurant that's located directly on the beach. So you can see where this review is going...

First off, ambiance is nice, especially if it's a sunny day. They get lots of natural light so take all of the selfies!

The food itself is not bad. I had the four cheese fettuccine, which was very rich- best to wash it down with something like rosé to balance those flavours. However, it cost around $200HK, pricey if you ask me. Surprisingly, the kid's bolognese looked really good; it might be worth asking if you could have that but in adult portions!

Now, the wait. They've got to improve their kitchen operations. Food comes out at different times, and I estimate it took about 30-40 minutes for certain dishes to come out.

Luckily, I came here because my husband's office was doing family day, which meant the company paid for everything. Therefore, I can't complain too much!

最近天氣都很好今天和老婆仔刻意一起請了一天假打算郊遊一下逃離市區選擇了前往石澳這個充滿異國風情的地方來到先吃個午餐選擇了位於沙灘的這間地中海餐廳這裡有一望無際的海景還能聽到遠處傳來的海浪聲真是非常舒適不過一看菜單確實有點貴如果set lunch計連加一每人最低消費400元所以我們決定散叫點了一份198元的Salmon & Basil Cream Salad以及298元的Baked Chicken Pie我們點的食物不多所以餐包就變成很重要的充飢食物很有外國風格的餐包都是很硬的幸好有大量牛油提味沙律份量也如預期一樣不算太多菜還算新鮮加上很大件的三文魚配合忌廉一起吃非常美味整體感覺也算不錯而Baked Chicken Pie原來真的是巨型的雞批酥皮的外層包著熱的雞肉和蘑菇雖似是雞批但比起雞批好味得多因為內層還有點湯可以把酥皮浸到湯中能吃到不同的層次另外還有薯蓉很軟很滑同時也很夠飽肚算是對得起這價錢

因為內層還有點湯

可以把酥皮浸到湯中

We decided to go for the 3-course set dinner. For the appetizer I ordered the Nicoise Salad, which has marinated fresh red tuna with red onion, tomatoes, green beans, olives and basil, plus anchovy dressing. A good start with the fresh veggie and tuna appealing to the look and taste, and with a right portion size not overwhelming yet give sufficient to share. Ivy went for the Onion Soup which I rated as a bit salty and overly rich.

For the main course I had Grilled Sea Bream which was fairly well-prepared, and upon serving some alcohol was poured on top and lit to give a burning effect. The fish was stuffed with lemon and herbs, and those enhanced the taste of the fish while preserving the original flavor without distortion. I would say this is a no-frill dish but I quite like it.

The other main course was the 'Piri Piri' Grilled Prawns with parsley, chili and garlic on mint couscous. The prawns were big but the texture was quite rough and there was still a bit of frozen taste on it. I guess it is just inevitable unless having the real fresh ones. However, the overall look and flavors would still be acceptable.

On the dessert we had a molten chocolate cake with pistachio ice-cream which is well-made, with the chocolate sauce flowing out upon cutting the cake and the ice-cream flavorful. The other dessert was a creme brulee which was also nice. My only comment would that the creme brulee could be a bit watery on the mouthfeel and it would be even better if it is a tiny bit more firm.

The staff came to check in with us along the meal and offered his recommendation, and also giving us a mosquito repellent, showing how considerate he is. The bill totaled $1,154 and considering the quality of the food it was a bit pricey. But still if you are not overly particular on the food quality, but just to enjoy a nice atmosphere and the beach, this is a restaurant I would love to come back.
My overall rating is 63/100.

Staffs are kind and sociable yet not overbearing, helpful and prompt, even anticipating your needs before we had to ask, that was truly superb. Atmosphere won't go wrong here as its stunning seaside location with extraordinary beautiful view of the landscape and its dark-ish yet cozy and warm environment for dining, you'll just feels right.
A highly-recommended place that I would definitely be back as a regular to see its growth with such potentials, quality of food and well-organised services. Kindly bear in mind to do a reservation before everything since they got quite a lot of full-house event or well you can still try your luck!

Summary: woman in charge said that I will have lamb+fish+vegetable in the main course but later it only came the lamb+vegetable. When I asked where my fish was she then DENIED what she had said before and said I can only choose lamb or fish. Actually I was NEVER asked which one I prefer.
Full story: Today this restaurant only offer Easter menu.
When we (3 people in total) sat down and read, there are four items in the menu: "best roasted lamb leg with garlic and rosemary", "slow roasted lamb shoulder with wine and garlic", "premium lamb grilled with paprica, lemon, ", fish or vegetarian". I spontansouly thought I have to choose one out of four from the following. However, when I asked the woman in charge, she said ALL itmes were included, including the fish.She even said "well it is so worthy right? (呢個餐好抵食啊) Later, only one dish of lamb (incuding those three types of lamb) and one dish of vegetable came, so I asked the woman in charge where the fish is.
I was NEVER asked which one I prefer and she DENIED what she had said before. She further said I could only choose lamb OR fish.
She said "You did not choose fish at the beginning so you have no fish'. I was so furious and said "you said ALL are included, including fish". She just bushed me around with irrelevant answers. I asked her to give me back the fish and she said there would be extra charge. I did not order fish finally. I asked her to take back the lamb and she said since I had eaten part of it, she would not take it back to kitchen.
SO I SWEARED I MUST WRITE A COMMENT HERE TODAY ONCE I HAVE MY COMPUTER ON HAND. Also, I finally now understand why another user SkyBev is so patient to write a 500-word report of this restaurant. I agree with SkyBev that there is still much room for improvement to the service of this restaurant .
Menu is provided. The wording is very unclear since there is no "Or" or "choose one of the following" or sth like that. Judge yourself whether my claim is correct or not.
I highly suggest this restaurant to have better wordings on the menu in the future since such unclear menu may lead to misrepresentation.
Other comments:
1. Very slow service. I wait so long between the appetiser and the main course.
2. Food there is fair. Just grilled stuff and salad.
3. Extremely nice scenery as it faces the Shek O Beach directly.
4. It charges HKD 348 per person (with 10% charge). If you think you come only for the scenery, it deserves such price.

We were group of 7 having lunch and decided to have bottle of Rose outside first since that was lovely weather with sunshine we couldn't miss it. Then we went inside by the window for lunch. Their decor was great, music was relaxing.
The wait staff served us bread once we have sat and patiently took our orders as we couldn't make up our mind with plenty of attractive options on the menu. Starters had arrived in a short time, We've tried the antipasti, tuna carpaccio, greek salad and also the duck salad. They all tasted good and we could'nt wait for the main course to come.
We had Piri Piri Chicken, John dory and Ratatouille as our main dish, besides, I really need to have a compliment for the chefs as they served our food on the hot plate! I was so impressed as they understand the food is really easily to get cold in this chilly weather! The piri piri sauce was so tasty and make it perfect matching with the chicken, John Dory was really good and so was the ratatouille, we all had them finished with the dish washed....
Finally we've ordered the Chocolate fondant to share because we were really full.
I will definitely come back again with my friends and its a shame that I should have tried this restaurant earlier but still it isn't too late for me to discover this amazing place and share with others!
