Today I popped into BKK, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. But by the end, I wanted to give the owner a round of applause this mix of flavors is so on point!First off, the charcoal-grilled wagyu skewers. First off, the charcoal-grilled wagyu skewers. They’re charred just right on the edges, with that smoky aroma, and when you bite in, the juices explode in your mouth. Super tender, no tough bits.
Then there’s the crab meat fried rice. It comes out glistening, each grain of rice separate but coated in that good oil. Every bite has little bits of crab fresh, briny, no skimping.
The deep-fried whole red snapper hit the table still steaming. The crust? So crispy, you hear that “crunch” when you break into it. Tear off a piece, and the fish inside is as tender as silk no fishy aftertaste at all.
The Thai-style charcoal-grilled beef salad deserves a shoutout too. The beef has that nice charred edge, chewy but not tough, mixed with cilantro, cherry tomatoes, and that classic Thai sour-spicy dressing.
And finally, the mango coconut sticky rice. Pure happiness in a bowl. The mango is sweet enough to drip juice, the coconut sauce is thick and creamy, poured over soft, chewy sticky rice.
