hello everyone,This restaurant has had great improvements in it's tastes since the last time I went there. Last week I went to the restaurant of hanserang to have a bite of it's Korean cuisines to see if they have improved since my last review about the taste of this Korean restaurant. I have to say, this restaurant has improve loads upon it's taste and regained it's original taste in the items I have ordered. However, you would have to make the right order to really feel the taste which this restaurant has to offer. That being, asking for extra spice. 😋😋🌶️so, without further Ado, here are the items that I have ordered:first on our list is the spicy cheese pork, which I have tried last time. I ordered this with extra spice added to it, as I want to see the limits of this restaurant in terms of spice and if it can help recreate the original taste that it has. I was quite impressed by the level of spice which it has reached, being not only to tickle but a slight burn in the mouth which is ideal for a spicy dish. This has given it an added bonus of draining your entire ricebowl in seconds with the spice it offers😋😋however, the texture of the meat could be a little lacking and could be improved with better seasoning and less marinating time as it can get a little mushy if you eat it individually. there is also the question of the taste individually as the taste is not spread easily arround the edges. nonetheless, the experience is still there which makes this a must have for going to this resturantSecond on the dish is the beef ribsTo be fair, this dish has improved a lot after eating it, the texture of the beef and the meat itself has a better sinew than last time, which can indicate a sense of freshness. In addition to this, my previous critique of the taste of the beef has been resolved😄😄 with a newfound salt and umai taste found within the beef. This taste is a much better taste which lets there be a better experience. overall pretty good. of course, there is also the kimchi and the appetisers for the dish. The kimchi itself tastes a but weird with a slight hint of salt in the vegetable, though if you chew it long enough though, you can really taste the spice and the tingling that the Kimchi creates, even if it's a little faint. I think overall it's quite good for the appetisers. Lastly, I want to address a comment created by another user of not enough portions. I think the portions are actually enough currently if you are having a normal lunch, but if you are known to be a big eater, then it might be slightly less than what you normally eat, but that's fine usually. …Read More

hello everyone, last week, I had made a trip back to an old favourite of mine: Hanserang to relive the taste of spicy cheese which I had once admired very much as seen from my previous review. Though this time, something feels very off..... As I got my dish, I took a bite, expecting the flavour of the spice coupled with the mozeralla to take it's full effect. But nothing happened, I only felt the tough, sticky mozeralla texture taut and stretch in my mouth. A bland taste. Not good, something is definitely off today. Maybe it was just the side, so I took another bite, focussed my full attention to my taste, to see if there is anything. A slight tingling, a small spark which fizzled out to nothing. Like pepper.In confusion and disbelief, I took a bite of the meat instead, surely it can't have affected it... it was then I found the answer to my problem. The meat tasted very plain, with only the slightest hint of salt and spice. Very unusual for chicken. The meat had been seasoned well enough to cover the fresh taste. If not salt nor spice,what could have caused this destruction? then I remembered the time when I accidentally added too much sugar onto my meat when cooking it. it was this nightmare again. Too much sugar into the dish has killed the traditional Korean spice which this dish were to have. As sugar is the killer of all different taste, used to give a smooth and pleasant sense to the taste after eating. Though, using it in the middle of the main course is very destructive and bad. Causing all to become bland, esprescially those with spices. DO NOT ADD SUGAR TO DISHESThings weren't better for the other dishes. Aside from this, I also ordered a beef ribs, intrigued to try out this new dish. However, I am truly disappointed when I tasted it. A sugary stream ran through, destroying the taste like a flood to a city. This is very bad. As the beef only incurred a tough texture as it's taste. Unpleasant to it all. Bearing this, I ate most of it,and went packing, disappointed at this taste. Hanserang, if you are reading this, please lower the amount of sugar you add to each dish. I recommend not adding any sugar to any fried or grilled beef as this will ruin the taste. Plus,you already have onions to add to the sweet taste of it which is already enough.i will give you time for you to make changes, and will be back in a few months time. customers, I advise you to ask for your grill to have less sugar on your grill. Korea is a country infamous for its glacial winters, with piercing ice and numbing snow pelting against the inhabitants of the frozen tundra. In these harsh elements of sub-zero temperate, inhabitants have developed ways to keep themselves warm with the element of fire. Some of infused it into the foods they eat, as they combine the powers of ingredients to create a cure for the winter. Seeing the weather as cold from the oncoming gale wind striking, I seek to go seek the fire of these foods. As I entered the restaurant, I was told to wait for 5 minutes, a sign that many have come to seek it as well.I got seated in one of the chairs and started to order. The first thing which came was the appetisers:This contains bunch of vegetables on the left, potatoes in the middle, and Kimchi on the right. The vegetables taste somewhat with fibers and give off a taste of fresh leaves. The potato is sweet and soft, like those sweet potatoes you eat in winter. Whilst the Kimchi reflects a spicy, hot tingling feeling in my mouth, vegetables bursting into hot flames tingling my mouth, just as if they were lit by fire. Exactly what I need, the heat of spices. One of the many secrets of the fire, including spices.Next was the hot stone pot of mixed rice:This pot is steaming with heat when taken out of the kitchen, as waiters with protective heat gloves gingerly place the pot of rice on the table. The pot is scattered with multiple ingredients, namely carrot, beef, soy bean sprout, and cabbage. Beneath the seaweed, there hides an egg, as I move it, it bursts into a sea of hot yolk, encapsulating the mixture of rice as I blend the ingredients together, forming into a sea of mixed beef and various vegetables, blending into a mixture of flavours. The hot ingredients reach the mouth and heat it up with fire. The second secret of fire: serve the dish hot.Last, is my favourite, the pog spicy Cheese pork. This dish is synonymous with its strong spice taste intertwined with the smell of cheese. The pork is drenched in the Korean spice sauce, bringing flavour right into the meat. The cheese sticks the pork well and gives a sense of the strands of cheese pulling from the meat. What you are looking at here is what I consider the best items on the menu for this store: The legendary spicy cheese Pork/beef/chicken. Let me explain to you why this is the best dish. Spice and cheese are two separate, distinct elements which go well on their own usually. Many restaurants have done it : pizza hut, KFC, and ofc, Hansarag(as seen in its spicy pork) . But none other restuanrt that I have ever tasted had the genius of combining the two elements together. The cheese makes the fresh taste of the meat stick to the mouth while the spice stimulates the mouth and tingles the taste glands.The result is a taste I can't simply describe in words, I would like you to try it out yourself in person to experience the rich taste. This experience is worth every penny you pay for it as it is found nowhere else in Meifoo. Me taking a box of good food back home for the family to enjoy. Furthermore, if you are first trying out the spicy pork series, I would recommend you to start first with the beef.
