Job Description

COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE

Assistant Manager (Administration) (240328010-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to play a key administrative role in the Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) Office. He/She will be required to:

(a) provide administrative and secretarial support to the Director of Office;

(b) oversee all office administration tasks, including human resources matters, ensuring adherence to administrative guidelines and procedures, maintaining office filing systems and equipment, and implementing office policies;

(c) liaise with internal and external parties as well as supervise supporting staff for day-to-day operations of the Office;

(d) assist in budget planning and coordination for the Office;

(e) manage the inventory of CPA souvenirs and coordinate production with vendors;

(f) draft and compile documents, reports, and responses to inquiries; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree;

(b) at least five years of relevant experience;

(c) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d) excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to be a good team player; and

(e) good computer literacy.

Preference will be given to those with solid experience gained in local tertiary institutions.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
