印度料理擅用香料堆疊出來不同層次,每每總讓味蕾充滿驚喜,今次就來到位於北角的羅勒印度餐廳。餐廳面積不大,不過環境乾淨衛生,配上紅啡白主色調的流麗裝潢,瀰漫著濃厚的民族風。餐廳主打印度北部地方菜,曾於2012-2018年連續6年獲得米芝蓮推介。這裡由廚師到侍應都是南亞裔,不過餐牌亦有中文附註,點菜時也不怕會看不懂。樽裝水收費 $10一支。印度是世界上最懂得運用香料的國度,五味紛陳,令每道菜式洋溢著異國風情。炸⾹料胡椒餅 Fry Masala Papadum $28輕薄的脆片上撒滿了洋蔥、番茄、青瓜、辣粉等配料,夾雜酸辣脆的多重層次,清爽醒胃。咖喱角 Samosa $48Samosa是印度的家常小食,厚實外層用麵糰搓成脹卜卜的三角形,炸得香脆而不油膩。裏面包裹著飽滿的全素食內餡,主要以咖喱青豆薯蓉製成,香氣四溢。香草薯餅 Mix Vegetable Aaloo Tikki $48薯餅同樣是在北印度常見的小吃,主要是以馬鈴薯、豌豆與各種咖哩香料製作成小圓餅的形狀,再經過油炸固定成形。口感比平時的西式或日式薯餅更實在飽肚,綿密之中仍然保有明顯的顆粒感。天多羅燒雞 Chicken Tikka $128天多羅Tandoori指的就是用名為 Tandoor 的泥窯炭爐熏烤,利用對流產生高達攝氏數百度的熱力,以高溫鎖住香料和肉汁,上桌時仍是蒸氣騰騰,陣陣香味隨之撲鼻而來。雞肉烤成搶眼奪目的鮮明橙紅色,香料味道濃烈,辣度不輕,卻仍能突顯辣味上的豐富層次感,不是一味平板的死辣。牛油雞 Butter Chicken $104品嚐印度菜又怎能缺少烤餅,絕對是吃咖哩的搭配首選,撕下一片烤餅,蘸上咖喱汁,豪邁地一手放進口內。由於咖喱已跟牛油調和,質地濃稠順滑,平衡了辛香料的刺激,不像一般想像的印度咖哩味道較嗆口。雞肉煮得入味嫩滑,微辣中帶香甜奶香,辣度溫和,即使是吃不了辣的也會覺得容易入口。烤麥餅 Roti $20Roti就是沒發酵的烤餅,再直接以tandoor烤爐烤製而成,餅皮厚度較薄,口感較為紮實,帶著天然純粹的麥香。千層餅麵包飽 Plain Parantha $26雖然與Roti一樣不經發酵,但最容易令人分辨的是它的層層疊疊摺皺表面,層次更加分明,富有酥軟嚼勁。蒜蓉烤餅 Garlic Naan $32Naan 的麵糰會先經過數小時發酵,才放入印度烤爐tandoor烤焗,表面佈滿具有彈性張力的泡泡,富有蓬鬆空氣感,吃起來綿密煙韌,加入蒜香尤其惹味。…Read More

Ordered takeaway by openrice app. It says expecting 30 min to be ready but actually my order was done within 15 min.The taste is good,take away Chicken Tikka is still full of flavour. Only a little bit spicy, still good for me, I am not a spicy-taker.I believe the other similar dish with Chicken leg would be a 5-star dish as the boneless chicken pieces are a little bit dry, only a little bit. So I think the chicken leg one would be totally juicy. Should try again later!But there are 2 problems I would raise.First, when you order from openrice, the name is "天多羅燒雞(無骨) 鐵板餐",where "餐" means "Set", although there is already description about the ingredients, but "餐" still makes people expect there are drinks or bread or something come together with the main. But the reality is, this is an ala carte dish, as you can see from the photos.Second, when I arrived the restaurant, there are notices saying that all self pick-up ala carte order can have 20% off discount! Lunch time at North Point area has always been like a battlefield but Tulsi offers you a comfortable dining experience with high AC during this hot summer! Me and my friend came here for a decent lunch with Groupon coupon, which comes with free flow of papadum, curry, and drink. Soup of the day would be cream of corn soup with Indian spices and coriander. It was not too creamy which was just right for a warm start. Papadum comes with the classic coriander sauce. The warm papadum was served warm and crispy and the savouriness went well with the refreshing taste.  The starter platter comes with 4 different kinds of small bites including crispy onion pakodabeef skewer chicken tikkapotato samosa Crispy onion pakoda is a small little cute onion ball deep fried with light batter and probably some tumeric and other spices. It was somewhat between soft and crispy, a fun small bite for every one. The whole small bowl had around 5-6 pieces of flavourful goodness.The beef skewers were tender and almost succulent. The coriander on top gave an extra flavour to the well marinated beef. The chicken tikka was comparatively dryer after being grilled. The smokey flavour was over the top and I really enjoyed having it on its own. The samosa was jam packed with chunks of potato, cumin seeds and other Indian spices. The shell was hard and crunchy, which was strong enough to hold the whole big piece of potato hot pocket. Indian spice cooked oysters and clamsEach piece was cooked until just right. The spices married nicely with the seafood with light fishy taste. The oyster was medium size and had a soft texture. It was not a bad treat for any good lunch deal! You may even see pieces of cardamon seeds hiding in the orange curry on top. Three types of curries were provided as the main dish, they are fish curry, chicken curry, and potato curry. The chicken curry was quite buttery and creamy in texture, it was not spicy at all and it went just perfectly well with any rice or naan of your choice! The fish curry was even creamy and more coconut-y in taste. It was again not sweet and I liked how soft and moist the fillet pieces were. I personally like fish a lot and I like this fish curry the most just because it was cooked nicely with a soft texture. The potato curry was covered with spices and the most noticeable one would be fried cumin seeds. The dish was also served with some shredded carrrots as well! Each piece of tomato was fluffy yet still firm in texture. It was flavourful from the spices and it was not hot. truffle naanI have chosen truffle naan to go with my curry. It was again fluffy, served very hot with a mushroom earthy truffle taste. Curry is just good with any naan, and any naan would be good for any curry. I really liked that the heat was not too strong which was just great during this hot summer otherwise I would have probably died. Mango lassi is also refillable, the sweet and tangy yogurt drink can never be missed in any Indian meal. It was fruity, sweet and refreshing. It is a also a good cure for spicy food if you can't handle the heat. I would say it is a super good deal for this price especially when we can get free flow drink and curry. 年輕時非常沈迷日本的忍者傳說,知道同一個忍者流派,是會因應血脈傳統繼成分為本家和分家,如果說羅勒餐廳的鍘魚涌總店是本家的話,那麼北角這一家便絕對是繼承了相同武藝的分家,在下有幸拜會了羅勒餐廳的多間餐廳,每一次的食物帶來的除了是味覺的喜悅,得到的更多的是從食物中找到的感動門面裝飾有著印度的神秘氣息,玫瑰中有著古典的感覺餐館環境燈光充足。我們約八時到達,已差不多座無虛席。但亦不代表餐廳內相當吵鬧,反而氣氛相當優雅,沒有大聲說話的顧客,可能懂得欣賞別國美食的人仕,全是有修養之人.印度菜是一種“簡單食材+主要調料+烹飪方式”的组合。而印度菜神奇之處就在於它多種多樣的調味料。印度人早已在日復日的烹飪中熟練使用各種繁雜的調料,也正是由此造就了印度菜神秘而豐富的味道。印度菜主要以咖哩聞名,主要為魚、肉、菜等不同食物來調和多種香料,既不掩蓋食物本身的天然滋味,又有濃郁的香味。咖哩羊肉、酥炸鲜蔬等都是較普遍的印度佳肴。另外,印度奶茶及飯後甜點也是極具地方特色。今天有幸嘗到以上多種印度名菜,除了感謝大廚給力的廚技之外,亦要真摰的感激羅摩神(印度神)對印度國的庇佑,使其國民可以帶領美食傳至我們居住的領土.餐牌上的選擇眾多,除了有大受歡迎的咖喱羊肉系列,亦有各種味道的印度薄餅.如果是對於印度菜感到陌生的朋友,亦可憑圖片對食物有初步的了解.細心的店員亦會詳細的解釋每種菜式的特性以及對你的選擇作出提議,非常貼心清一色的印度藉店員加上店內的特色裝修,亦令餐廳更有濃厚的印度氣氛,彷如置身新德里市中心的餐館內進食一樣而羅勒餐廳除了已食物質素聞名之外,價錢便宜亦是其一大賣點蓄茄湯 $35蕃茄湯要做到味道出色,是需要比較多功夫的,除了在洗好蕃茄後磨皮時要下一番功夫外,落水煮的過程和時間也要拿挰得相當準確.而羅勒餐廳的蕃茄湯除了做到以上的要求外,其成功亦有著另一重要的元素,蕃茄湯的熱度相當十足,證明在廚房保存時,爐的溫度非常足夠.味道方面,蕃茄味道相當濃郁,入口時湯水卻異常鮮滑,口感和味道都是一流.湯內的蔬菜比重適中,因此沒有令湯水的份量減小.賣相方面,橙紅色的湯水顯得更為養眼,令人有一飲而盡的感覺夏天多喝番茄湯既可獲得養料,又能補充水分,防中暑,一舉兩得。番茄湯所含番茄红素有一定的抗前列腺癌和保護心臟的功效.所以蕃茄湯除了美味之外,亦相當有益而價錢只是$35,絕對超值!美味指數: A+抵食指數: A+串燒雞 $88聽名字以為會是日式串燒,但看到圖片後便知道其實是鐵板燒雞來的.某些劣質餐廳會用市面上的急凍雞,這些急凍為了保鮮,添加了不少防腐劑保持色澤,食得多對身體有害無利.但羅勒餐廳絕對沒有同流合污,用的是上等雞肉,紅燒過後出來的是相當嫩滑的雞肉,咬起來時肉質鬆軟之餘,雞肉的香味亦同時間散發出來.剛上枱時的熱度算是中高,但絕對適宜入口留意吃起來時,雞肉不要切得太細, 否則便感受不到由皮至肉吃起來的快感 .另外,亦注意雞肉上枱後不要放太耐, 否則凍了後便完全失去了質感了賣相亦相當吸引,在鐵板上的雞肉顯得份外通紅份量方面,一碟四塊,對於2人來說剛剛好,價錢$88已質素和份量來計算的話亦相當合理美味指數: A抵食指數: A-椰汁咖哩羊肉 $88羅勒餐廳多種菜式都是$88,印度藉老闆一定是相當迷信於我們中國這個好易頭的數字,這算是另類的文化交融嗎椰汁咖哩羊肉是一道印度南方經典的菜式,帶點微辣口感的椰汁咖哩,夾著多種香料繁複的味覺刺激.其中印度綜合香料是類似中式五香粉或十三香粉的綜合香料,有提香作用,難怪入口時有著陣陣香味飄來.而肉質方面,羊肉相當嫩滑,材料絕對是上乘,配上精鍊後的椰汁咖哩,入口有著不一樣的激情感覺,錯綜複雜的味道最令人難忘,這亦是印度菜最令人讚嘆的地方賣相方面,感覺有點像青咖哩,但味道方面絕對是天淵之別.而由於這道菜式的原意是給客人配飯吃,所以份量不算太多,不過$88吃到這種質素是絕對無侮的美味指數: A++抵食指數: A-勁辣咖哩羊肉 $88另一印度經典名菜,但相比椰汁咖哩,這個勁辣咖哩有著更強勁的辣味,絕對適合愛辣的挑戰者.而他的辣度絕對從外表中的啡紅色完全想像不到但怕辣的我也有勇氣挑戰這個對手,其實吃起來時,入口第一感覺是辛而不辣,以為這樣就成功過關了?非也.辣味是入口咀嚼後才浮現出來,特別是羊肉經過勁辣咖哩的浸淫後,已變成一頭咖哩辣魔,咬起來時除了保留了羊肉的肉香,勁辣的味道也隨著肉香靜悄悄的襲人而來.個人建議先先拌起小量來感覺一下咖哩香氣,再慢慢品嚐辣味.份量方面,跟椰汁咖哩一樣,原意是給客人配飯吃,所以份量不算太多.但絕對抵吃美味指數: A抵食指數: A-黑松露烤餅/乾果椰子烤餅   $28/$24印度菜必吃菜式之選黑松露,也稱块菌,是一種生長於地下的野生食用真菌,其氣味特殊,難以形容,配以熱辣辣香味濃郁的印度烤餅是完美配搭.烤餅相當香脆,而且厚薄適中,口感一流.乾果椰子烤餅相對之下則略顯平庸,可能是因為被黑松露的香味蓋過吧,但滿是椰子 的烤餅底部口感還是滿有趣的黑松露烤餅的樣子較為吸引,一堆堆黑松露灑在烤餅上,論外型上已先贏一仗乾果椰子烤餅外觀上沒有獨特的地方,但作為小吃也絕對可以接受的配上剛剛的椰汁咖哩羊肉和勁辣咖哩羊肉一起吃更佳.椰汁咖哩羊肉由於有著眾多的味道,跟烤餅一起吃更配襯兩種咖哩和烤餅的味道各自混在一起,有著不同的化學反應.但個人感覺還是椰汁咖哩羊肉混出來的較佳黑松露烤餅美味指數: A抵食指數: A乾果椰子烤餅美味指數: B+抵食指數: A-印度式炸洋蔥 $35吃起來口感超特別,外脆內軟.上枱時的香炸味道亦非常強烈,但亦不是油炸的惡臭味,而是洋蔥的香味.賣相方面,極像中式的炸魷魚蘇,當然每條的尺寸是較幼細吧味道方面,面層是強烈的炸物獨有香味,而內裡卻是淡淡的洋蔥,強烈的對比下極度刺激起人的味蕾.並不是每人也喜歡強烈的對比味道,這時候侍應細心的告知點上店家自制的醬汁會較易入口美味指數: A-抵食指數: A-印度式雪糕  $40完美的一餐,總會有一個甜美的甜品.印度雪糕外型崩硬,有點像雪凍了的香蕉.味道方面,有著很重的奶香味,再配上隨碟的醬汁一起吃更佳.可能是剛剛吃的全是味道刺激的菜式,吃過這個雪糕後身體感到冷靜下來,解辣一流而侍應亦細心的幫我們分開兩碟,否則已其上枱時的硬度,應該不是那麼輕易切開的美味指數: B+抵食指數: B Delas Cotes du Rhone Rouge,France 2013席間,友人提出如此高興的夜晚,小不了紅酒相伴.友人挑選的是經典的隆河酒,味道已果香為主,有成熟的紫羅蘭和甘草味道,相當易入口,友人喝上2杯後已帶點醉意了,幸好沒有做出失禮的舉止.整個店舖方面給人的感覺也是玫麗堂皇的,從高高在上的吊燈,印度式的油畫裝飾,和吧台中的酒杯陳列櫃可強烈感覺到.而細心的店家亦提供一部小型吹風機及調低冷氣的溫度,令室內溫度不至於跟街上相差太遠,亦可保持空氣流通.印度藉的侍應亦非常好客,所有問題也會詳細解答,而途中曾有一台吃不慣印度菜的客人不停查詢食物的材料和做法,侍應亦一一細心告知,服務態度值得一讚.而吃過那麼多名菜後,每人價錢只是大約二百多元左右,性價比超高,非常抵吃而北角分店的水準跟總店非常接近,亦證明店家管理有道,控制食物水準和服務質素相當有經驗,一絲不苟店舖整體評分:食物質素: A服務態度: A++上菜速度:A-店舖裝潢:A抵吃指數: A+整體評分: A食店環境、衛生、服務也可點評…Read More

曾經光顧這家, 獲得米芝蓮推介的印度餐館好幾次, 發現其水準甚為不俗, 尤其是晚餐 .... 某天的下午, 我和太座途經 北角 七姊妹道 何不試一試午市的食物質素如何~餐廳的裝修依舊是帶英式的風格, 殖民的後遺心態 .... 瑰麗的燈飾, 冠冕堂皇, 能照遍這地方, 但又能否自照?  大廚的廚藝確實到家, 但不太能夠接受香料味道的本地人, 究竟又有多少人能領會其功力呢?Menu~ Rose Milk我喜歡粉紅色, 顏色漂亮, 亦帶幾分溫柔和浪漫, 喝下有萬般感受, 玫瑰花香味四溢~Chicken Tikka $88:香料味道足 (但仍可強一點) 烤得火喉剛好, 雞件的肉質夠 tender 也沒坊間店子的偏鹹的通病~ 伴薄荷乳酩醬同吃會有第二種味道走出來, 然而薄荷乳酩醬卻是稀了一點 (沒有拍照 sorry)~Kashmiri Naan $24中文譯作 "乾果椰子烤餅" 真奇怪, 這種烤餅是 Kashmiri 喀什米爾 地區的特色餅食, 在印度的其他地方也不容易吃得到~軟熟的麵包內填有椰蓉、乾果、果仁, 甜度輕, 是可以當為甜品的 naan bread~Beef Masala $78:我吃印度菜通常不點牛肉的, 在 印度 工作時我也沒吃牛肉, 因為在 印度 有80%的國民是不吃牛的~印度教、錫克教 也視牛為神聖動物, 教徒絕不傷害牛!! 只有 伊斯蘭教 的 Muslims 才會吃 ....不知何解, 我當天就是點了這道菜 .... 汁底 芳香、微辣、少少偏鹹, 稀杰度也尚算適中, 汁也明顯地是過瀘了 (所以汁底夠滑, 沒太多香料渣) 牛肉夠入味亦夠腍, 味道不俗!  但, 香料味道仍未達到我的要求~ 這家餐廳的午市的食物頗有水準~ 只在乎閣下是否欣賞而已~ 我是香料商人, 我說有水準, 就是有水準~本篇完~…Read More

要吃正宗的印度菜,十居其九朋友總會介紹你到尖沙咀的重慶大厦,或許是因為我也只懂得這個地方。不過今天之後,我會介紹你來北角的這間餐廳。即使你每次要經過重慶大厦,你總會怕門外熱情的招待;當走進大厦內你又會擔心那座𨋢是否安全;所以如果友人要約我到重慶大厦內吃印度菜,盡可能我也會推卻的。不過這次是一個叫我喜出望外的印度菜體驗。在北角地鐵站出口半分鐘的路程便可到達這間印度餐廳,這是一間很像樣的餐廳,是迎合了香港人的餐廳。只要從餐廳的裝潢及食品的做法便可略知一二。進門後不難看到他們廚師參加比賽後所獲的獎項,那是每兩年在香港舉辦 HOFEX 展覽會中的其中一個廚藝比賽;這是一個對廚師的肯定,並不是在某某雜誌中付錢下廣告所可以換取的。It really means something.頭盤方面我們點了 生蠔 Masala,剛剛好熟透的生蠔十分新鮮,吃到底還有淡淡的海水味;配合上其充滿香料的蕃茄蓉,開胃又添了些地道的印度色彩。主菜方面我們點了兩款炭燒鐵板餐,紅色的是串燒雞而黃色的是烤魷魚。其實兩者的做法是大同小異的,那些香菜和洋蔥也是一樣的,唯用的香料不同。為食鴨特別推薦串燒雞,雞肉很嫩滑,不會乾爭爭,還附上了青色的秘製香草醬,叫人一試難忘!吃過雞後再吃魷魚便失了點惹味的分數,可能是不夠入味,但勝在魷魚本身十分新鮮和彈牙。羊架亦是另一樣必點的食物,只是賣相也看得出是用心之作。羊肉烤的成數剛好,外層微脆而肉質鮮嫩;熱烘烘的鐵板更令羊肉帶點中式的鑊氣,更美味香口。來到印度餐廳又怎可以不點烤餅呢?這裡也有不少選擇,而我們也點了芝士,蒜蓉和黑松露烤餅。芝士是最叫人期待的,可惜芝士的味道不太突出;反而我最愛的是黑松露味道的,只是用鼻子嗅也覺得好吃。說到底,吃烤餅的重點還是要趁熱吃哦!至於飲料方面,這是我點了的 Fresh Lime Soda,味道是清新的,不過說好了的青檸呢?可能在印度的青檸是黃色的,哈哈!我不敢評論這是不是正宗的印度菜,但必然是香港人喜歡的口味。不過若然你要帶朋友吃一頓非一般的印度菜,這裡的確是一個不錯的選擇,值得一去再去。為食鴨分數:9/10…Read More

知道羅勒這個名字是因為鰂魚涌那家店,一直在米芝蓮榜上有名,也光顧多次。這天在北角附近探朋友,想到就近吃晚餐,便聯想到這裡,試一下這一間分店的質素。Hot Masala Tea:喜歡奶茶,是因為它是香港的經典,這裡的特點,是所有印度菜的特色-香料。奶茶入口順滑,茶味香濃,滿滿的印式香料的味道,不澀口。與港式奶茶相比,有明顯的特色,又有異曲同工之妙。Oyster Masala: 朋友是愛蠔之人,即使我從來不會把蠔和印度餐聯繫在一起,但很好奇蠔與馬莎拉的搭配,決定一試。蠔本身質素不錯,蠔肉飽滿,蠔味濃郁,加上馬莎拉醬料的味道,整個蠔味道很鮮美,口感也香滑。Chicken Tikka: 不同於其他chicken tikka放在醬汁里燉煮,這裡把他做成鐵板燒的形式。雞肉放到高溫的鐵板上,醬汁被收干水分,雞肉已經去皮,肉質香滑,醃製過的雞肉滿是醬汁的香氣與味道。Tandoori Lamb Chop: 羊扒烤得非常出色,雖然是well done,但肉質松化,嚼著毫不費勁。羊肉味道鮮美,高溫鎖住了肉汁;油脂少量,增添羊肉的風味,喜歡吃羊的人會很享受羊肉特有的“騷”。另外調味也很不錯,既有tandoor獨特的香味,又不會太多濃郁蓋過羊肉的味道。Cheese Naan:主食選了我喜歡的cheese naan, 芝士也確實豐富,粒粒可見,但不知為何,吃到嘴裡就沒了芝士的味道,可能是對我來說喜歡了法式芝士的濃郁,印度芝士太過清淡吧。雖然在芝士的味道上讓人有少少失望,但好在naan溫熱,陣陣麥香,多少挽回一點分數。…Read More

闊別多年, 還是很懷念羅勒印度餐廳,尤記得2年前來的時候, 我遲到了20分鐘,還害怕印度餐廳會不會品流複雜,叫她出外面走走,但EX說坐得很舒服, 不用擔心,趕到的時候發現店員態度十分友善,而且這店是走高格調路線,起碼坐得舒服店長被我拍下來了,好像有點錯愕XD印度名物MANGO LASSI還是以前的樣子,鮮甜中帶點咸香, 帶點YOGURT酸,冰冰涼涼的喝下去非常醒胃最特別的是他們的碎冰塊,應該是從自家制的冰塊打碎而成,非常注重衛生!而不是像那些茶記從製冰公司買些現成冰塊,早上未開店時送到,由他們放在門口曝曬一段時間, 但此舉很易令冰塊滋生細菌!可怕的是中環很多餐廳也是如此...Oyster Masala, Masala即是多種香料的混合,印度香料極為多元,所以MASALA可謂千變萬化,這邊只用甜蕃茄醬, 洋蔥加上一些莞茜調味,跟西式的生蠔Oyster Cocktail Sauce有異曲同工的感覺,蠔煮成半熟,蠔肉飽滿有咬口,蠔香滿溢,比想像中還好吃~!Chicken Tikka上桌時熱力十足,香味四溢, 雞肉亦十分嫰滑,亦早已去皮, 非常細心旁邊的綠色醬汁酸酸甜甜的, 有點像沙律醬,能為鐵板菜色解一解膩LAMB CHOP羊羶味不濃,入口亦十分彈牙,以前還沒有見過,應該是新的主打菜色?芝士NAAN的芝士是夠多了,不過味道過淡,幾乎吃不出芝士味,跟PLAIN NAAN一樣,希望店家可以改用另一種芝士吧FISH TIKKA的嫰滑度驚人,非常易入口,吃下去有微微的奶油香,惟魚鮮味不足, 略嫌欠缺咬口,如果TEXTURE可以更彈牙則更佳…Read More
