I love onigiri. Simply the best take away meal all in one small handheld package. There is a place I love  a lot and they are located throughout the Hong Kong area. But I'm always open to any competitions. That is where I came across Rice Ball Factory. Their concept? Adding fillings more common among the locals here for their onigiri. They also offer soup with a more Chinese flair. Interesting concept as local fillings can work with onigiri as it's often served with rice. It's a small grab and go shop. Everything is labelled in English and Chinese. They offer set combos that were a fairly good deal. I decided to get an onigiri and drink for $22 and added an extra onigiri for $12.Everything was place in a paper bag. I liked the drink choices included soymilk from a brand I like a lot.The first one I tried was Carbonara. It said it was the most popular filling. It was a bit bigger in size than the competiton. Plastic wrap ripped off easily.Though the nori was crisp, the rice was terrible.  There was a lot of it and it was just mushed together. Way too soft without the nice fluffy chew. Yes, it looked like they used Japanese rice but it was just way too over cooked. The carborna was actually slices of processed cheese with bacon bits. It was pretty terrible. I have no idea why this is the most popular filling? The other was char siu. Something  that peaked my interest as I love char siu and honestly rice and char siu works.Lots of filling for this one. The taste was sweet but sadly it was just minced pork and not actual slices of char siu. Otherwise it would have been more redeeming. The rice again was mushy and way too soft. The onigiri was one of the worst I've ever had as the rice was definitely not good. The concept of the fillings were a good idea but not executed well. So, won't be back even though the staff was really exceptionally friendly. 繼續閱讀
