It's undoubtedly a luring promotion initiated by taiko corp., 50%off for a limited week during its launch.That night we walked into the spacious yet mysterious place with golden pipes crawling extensively on the ceiling. That night we walked into the spacious yet mysterious place with golden pipes crawling extensively on the ceiling. Bartenders were busy cleaning glasses while waiters were so buzzy serving customers with the pub food.
Without reservation, we only managed to access the ground floor. Menu was limited to mainly appetisers, snacks and small dishes. We wanted to order oysters so desperately but unfortunately, all the signature food there were reported to be sold out.
Waitress said: oh, because now it's too late (8:45pm), all the delicious special food are gone...
Well .. Indeed we expected a better reply.
Anyway, we ordered the following Cold cuts platter, with Parma ham, chorizo and pickles
A very disappointing start with tasteless cold cuts and cold bread
The sauce are just tasteless too . Here comes the giant Angus beef burger in medium rare. The beef steak was well pan fried. Just cooked. It complements with cheese, bacon, tomatoes and lettuce. Standard above average
The fries were poorly fried though, with this close shot seeing the tiny bits of potatoes used to fry.. This dish of penne was sprawled with Cheddar cheese powder and beef crumbs in tomato sauce, turned into such a rich dish. The bill was $2xx with 50%off. It was indeed a super deal but if it swings back to the original price, I need to be sure I won't wrongly pick the cold cuts platter or its marks-deducting friends again.
