Sunning Restaurant was my all time favourite restaurant during my childhood days. Whenever we went for a celebration, i.e. birthday, my parents would brought me there for a escargot set meal. This is actually the first time I pay visit since they moved to Lee Theatre. The decoration was nice and the shop seems to be a little bigger than the one they had in Leighton Centre.My girlfriend ordered a "Fillet Mignon set", while I continue to order my all time favourite, 'escargot set' that comes with
My girlfriend ordered a "Fillet Mignon set", while I continue to order my all time favourite, 'escargot set' that comes with a 8oz sirloin steak. What I like most about this restaurant was that they serve good bread as appertizer. You can have unlimited refill as you like. After two rounds of free bread, I decided to stop as my stomach was already 80% full, which I needed to go to washroom to create room for my main meal!
Escargot was the first dish to come. The taste of it is always consistent regardless of time flies. Next comes the soup, very creamy texture but nothing excited. Lastly comes the steak, somehow the meat was not as good as the one i had in my memory. The meat was not tender enough which makes me recall of those from cafe de coral!
Anyway, the environment is really really nice and it is especially good if you decide to spend a romantic evening with your love one.
