If you are looking for a short break at IFC, Open kitchen is definitely your choice. Fresh, natural and healthy sandwiches and salad are served in this relatively open area. I went there in a Sunday afternoon for a quick lunch. Enironment (7/10)Open and spacious, casual and relaxing. Your eyes would be dazzled by the attractively arranged food when you enter the cafe. I ordered a Turkey and Brie Cheese Sandwiches ($48) with a cup of regular cappuccino ($32). The sandwiches was served in an oven tray, seemed an attempt to show it was freshly toasted... anyway it was superb! The bread was crispy with a toasty smell, brie cheese was semi-melting and the rocket salad inside was the highlight.
For the cappuccino, remember to ask for a porcelain coffee cup instead of paper one. Smooth and aromatic, the foam lasted for as long as I drank it. I caught a glimpse of the latte a foreigner was having, the latte art was natual and nice. Next time I must try it!
Services (7/10)Actually it's a self-help dining experience. But Staff at food counter were ready to help. The cleaner even helped me to find a seat.
