finally got the chance to try this place as many friends talked about it.Wait time - 0 mins as we were the only diners the whole night.BYOB: 150 cockage (a bit disappointed).The place - more home then restaurant feel, it's nice but think can be a little bit more cozy... also the constant traffic noise was a tad annoy. The place - more home then restaurant feel, it's nice but think can be a little bit more cozy... also the constant traffic noise was a tad annoy. Kitchen was next door and can be seen through a open window (it's lower then the restaurant so if you can look down into the kitchen and watch the action. Very funny layout but i kind of like it - it is different.
Service - non-existent in a good way (maybe also because we were the only ones). because it is a small operation (christina cooking, a kitchen hand and another lady doubling as kitchen hand/waiter), you have to walk over to the open window to get there attention and see the menu which is written on the kitchen wall. so for the whole night, we were not disturbed except when we were ordering. That said, everyone was friendly.
menu - small menu of 10-12 dishes. don't expect the usuall tapas from soho/elgin street - since chef's husband is spanish, i think the menu is bias toward home cooking/certain region??
wine - small collection, decent prices, half bottles served. we had a 1/2 btl chilean cab sav... actually not too bad
Food - we had five dishes - coffee - one desert (and christina gave us brownies on the house)
Avacado salad - very good, simple and well dress. lettuce was crunchy and avacado was fresh with good texture, maybe a bit more avacado needed.
Mussels - the best mussels i have tasted in hk, period. TENDER, and went very well with the tomato chutney souce....
squid stuffed with chorizo - grilled and tasty , good combo. a tad on the small side though.
champion mushroom - beautifually done, not over cooked, juicy with a very simple butter souce. tasted great - we had to get more bread so we didn't waste the source
duck thing - can not remeber the name, it was duck confit of some kind on thick dough. A bit oily and too salty.
coffee - ok (not going to get into this because i am an espresso freak)
brownies - good taste, not too sweet, a bit on the dry side, but tasty nevertheless.
COST - 700 for two people

然後,再來幾小菜式,大家talk得太投入..忘記映相tim..

主菜终於來喇,西班牙龍蝦海鲜飯. 大家都欣赏左一輪,再拍照滿意後才動手進食.
龍蝦又煎又烤,非常香及味道鲜美,每人半隻真係唔夠喉,下次一定要加碼每人一隻...
龍蝦層下,就有小蜆,黑蜆,鲜魚,然後就係又香又充滿海鲜味嫁飯.真係好正.

最後,自家制desert,一個happy dinner完滿收場.
將來一定再去,試下其他菜式.

因為要到西環吃飯,所以搜尋西環區的西餐時,發現這間西班牙菜,一看食評,已經是2007年了,但又沒標明結業,應該尚在人間吧!唯有驅車去看看環境才算,唔得就去第二著~到了門口,見到有2枱人客都是外國人,還有人幫襯不如就試試吧!坐下才知原來餐廳已經沒做主菜了,全以Tapas 為主。舖頭一邊是餐廳另一邊是廚房跟外賣,看菜牌要到外賣那邊的牆上,選擇只有16款咸+2款甜。一行3人建議下要了5款Tapas +1碟 Olives及1瓶Sangria。後來多一位朋友加入戰團,再加多2個Tapas....飽到想試甜品的機會都沒了~Sangria ($300) - 很重酒味,喝得出不只紅酒,一問之下至少加多了3款其他烈酒如馬天尼,白蘭地,Gin等,富然還有一大堆糖,因為很夠甜!朋友們不知不覺都醉意滿足 Goose Terrine w/ Toast ($90)- 未試過是用鵝肉作為醬,味道不濃,但啖啖鵝肉香味!Spicy Avocado Salad ($80)- 沒啥特別,但菜是很夠新夠的!Olives Platter ($40) - 內有至少4款不同的醃Olives, 油中還見到有Rosemary,怪不知咁

Sangria ($300) - 很重酒味,喝得出不只紅酒,一問之下至少加多了3款其他烈酒如馬天尼,白蘭地,Gin等,富然還有一大堆糖,因為很夠甜!朋友們不知不覺都醉意滿足


Goose Terrine w/ Toast ($90)- 未試過是用鵝肉作為醬,味道不濃,但啖啖鵝肉香味!

Spicy Avocado Salad ($80)- 沒啥特別,但菜是很夠新夠的!

Olives Platter ($40) - 內有至少4款不同的醃Olives, 油中還見到有Rosemary,怪不知咁好吃啦~


Tortilla of Potato & Capsicum ($85) - 個人認為真的做得不錯,那有在西班牙時吃到的味道,雖然這味菜不難做,但相信簡單就是最好的!

Cheese Iberico w/ Almond Crust ($95) - 侍應話這個夠晒飽肚,因為一舊芝士加上杏仁片煎至少少溶,芝士的咸香加上杏仁的crispy。。。prefect match!


Pan Fried Chicken Steak w/ Banderillas Puree ($75) - 雞醃得有點咸,但煎得過香加上很夾的醬汁,不錯~

Rioja Style Lamb Stewed ($80) ﹣愛羊的會喜愛其羶味十足,加上薯仔同炆,夠淋夠味,讚!

Grilled Prawns w/ Moja Dip ($98) - 蝦很新鮮,煎得比雞扒還要香,不加醬吃已經好好味,加埋醬吃更好,而醬汁主要是芫茜+Parsley等

總括這一餐吃得相當滿足,只是我們去得太晚,9點多才到,但舖頭11點就準備關門。
這兒可以說是合適談天說地的地方,不能急,因為眼見其人手只有2﹣3人,樣樣都是即吃即做,喝喝酒,吃吃Tapas,夠relax。價錢方面,以西班牙菜這兒算是便宜入門版,Tapas是算合理,但酒有平有貴。。。紅酒差了不多要$300/bottle。

侍應哥哥斯人有禮,我地每事問,佢很有耐性講解,真是要讚賞!
餐廳裝修保留住舊式風味,坐進去真是有點身處外國的小餐館FEEL。。。

只能說地點交通真的有點不便,不喝酒來這兒沒意思,揸車停車場又在老遠,最好還是打的來~


有機會真的要跟其他朋友一來聚聚。。。
只要人數夠多,佢地可以安排主菜的~ 期待下次的光臨!

食物中上,未算fine dining. 但,tapas本身就不是fine dining. 到西班牙吃tapas,通常都是比較casual,食物不大細緻的食肆。各位的要求就別太高啦。我本人幾enjoy bodega riojana 餐飯。食物新鮮,有tapas 既感覺。最重要係,個ambience 好舒服。同三兩知己對杯暢談,慢嘗佳肴,這地方適合不過。雖然略嫌位置遠,但也因此才能有離開煩囂都市的錯覺。

It was empty when we arrived on a late evening. It was like what others desbibed here, relaxing, home-like etc. The lady boss was nowhere to be seen, so I can\'t comment on her attitude. The service was attentive, and food tasty. I just wish they have some main courses instead of just tapas.

I've been hesitating when I read some comments that the service is poor. I guess we couldn't categorize it as poor unless you need others to pamper you. Sometimes the waitress not being too close the customers would simply give them some personal space to enjoy the food.The dish sizes are pretty ok for tapas. Larger than the ones with the Spanish restaurant of that large catering group.I tried the mushroom broth, roasted chicken, avocado salad and lamb stewed. The chicken liver is really exce

I tried the mushroom broth, roasted chicken, avocado salad and lamb stewed. The chicken liver is really excellent and it's a must-eat. Same for the avocado salad. The avocado has been mixed with some sauce which made it delicious... but I don't really know what sauce it is. Lamb stewed & roasted chicken are better than average but I'd try other dishes next time.

It's a quiet but friendly environment and thus you'd enjoy the food with no one disturbing you. I was just eating and reading magazines and enjoyed a v relaxing evening there. I just felt that I was in Europe 'cos when you look outside there're mainly trees and the road is not busy.

The coffee is yet to be improved 'cos its a bit too bitter. Maybe next time I need to try the tea. I didn't have dessert that time.

5.原為試菜,唔敢叫太多,但係前面四道實在食得我滿心歡喜,於是請駐場兩位廚師推介,結果就試左Croquette (辜且稱之為油炸芝士辣腸麵粉團)﹕老實講,芝士加肥辣肉腸餡,我個人覺得有D「漏」,但係朋友食到「唔…唔」聲。各花入各眼。
6.Home –made strawberry ice-cream﹕好香好滑,最出色係雪糕球上個粒不知名BB水果,酸酸甜甜,同雪糕配合得恰到好處。由此可見製作人的心機。
7.Custard﹕個人覺得好甜。不過朋友話custard根本就係好甜…
8.Coffee + tea﹕咖啡據說水準唔錯﹔茶可以唔飲。

種類﹕每日供應菜式用水筆寫係廚房磁磚牆上。湯、沙律、肉類、海鮮、甜品加埋差不多二十種,品種不算多。

服務﹕廚師伺應都係個兩位,笑容都好親切,經常留意加水,又會問你D菜好唔好食。雖然唔熱,都會自動自覺開冷氣(後來我請佢熄左佢)…諸如此類,實在無理由話服務差。至於到8點先出現嘅老闆娘兼主廚,唔多識講廣東話,可能會令人覺得佢無咁好招呼,但係我問佢Croquette係乜,佢都好有禮貌咁詳細解釋。

位置﹕士美菲路頂,轉角位,向大街。留意位置極隔涉,無位泊車。泊街邊好易抄牌,親眼見附近十幾架一次過抄晒。

間格﹕餐廳分開兩邊,食野個邊要上數級樓梯,另一邊係開放式廚房,雖然有道牆格隔住,但係中間有個勁大四方「窗台」式設計,客人可以全場望住廚師煮食,好家庭feel。得五/六張臺,坐滿都係16至20人,間隔疏,包保唔會逼。

裝修﹕舊建築,樓底好高,裝左數把掉扇。上周六傍晚都成30度,唔開冷氣一D問題都無。望下街景,無乜車行,人都唔多個,好有歐陸路邊小店lay-back feel。

價錢﹕tapas平均$60 - $80﹔home-made ice-cream $50,有點貴。兩個人無開酒,$535,無加一。咁

六點半食到差不多九點,全場得四個客,等於包場。有個性的廚師、出色的食物、氣氛relax 、服務舒服。好滿意。

really impressed by the food, the atmosphere and the dedication of this restaurant. everything we tried were delicious! wish we could have tried everything but apparantly the menu get changed twice a week. highly recommended!
