Happy Birthday M! It was my friend's birthday and along with my other friend B, whom I haven't seen for 4 years,we went to DISNEYLAND! M read about the Coca Cola Creme Brulee and got us all curious about it so we went there for lunch!Decor:I've been to this Disney so many times, but this was the first time that I actually ate at a restaurant. Decor:
I've been to this Disney so many times, but this was the first time that I actually ate at a restaurant. For some reason, I always go to the burger place in Tomorrowland, so I was glad to try this Coca Cola themed restaurant. You can see Coca Cola logos everywhere and I especially loved the vintage Coke signon the wall.
We got to sit outside so we got to see some of the parade as we were eating. The inside was kinda dark, so I was glad that we got to sit where we did. The chairs weren't too comfy, but it was a quiet, cozy and relaxing break from the noise and crowd.
Service & Hygiene:For some reason, the staff talked to us in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Haha. Yes, they were very friendly. I appreciated their effort. The place was clean too so all was good.
Taste & Value:
The 3 of us decided to share a sandwich ($126) and a set ($268) because the Coke Creme Brulee was only available through a set so we had no choice but to order it.
The set consisted of: 1. A basket of bread- There were 2 warm white buns and a whole grain bun. All were kinda dry, but okay.
2. Appetizer- Scallops in a coca cola sauce- This dish was served cold. The scallops were not over cooked or anything. The mango slices underneath gave it a nice acidic touch and paired nicely with the natural sweetness of the scallops, but along with the coke sauce, this dish was a bit too sweet.
3. Main- beef cheeks with veggies and a Coca Cola BBQ sauce- the beef was very delicious because it was SO tender. It basically melted in your mouth. The sauce, which from what I could taste was just Coke with Worcestershire sauce was surprisingly good and went nicely with the beef. There were 3 slices, which worked out perfectly for the 3 of us.
4. Dessert- Coca Cola Creme Brulee - The Creme Brulee was a big one. Your could no doubt taste the coca cola in it. The custard was creamy llike a regular creme brulee. It was interesting, but a bit too sweet.
The other item we ordered was the Club sandwich with fries. I wasn't epxecting this sandwich to be so big. It had some greens, ham, cheese, chicken and egg between foccacia bread. Everything was fresh and there was lots of mayo, which made it a nice sandwich. The eggs were cooked in a different way compared to the usual fried egg in sandwiches. It was like a sweet Japanese omelette, which I liked in the sandwich. The fries were good crunchy ones too, so overall it was a nice dish.
Final Verdict:I would consider coming again, but I do think it is a bit pricey.
