It's my first review to write on Openrice and I feel disappointed that I must write a negative review.My friend and I brought two discount coupons(50%off) for lunch. When we arrived, the waitress told us that the discount coupon are only available for one order. It was already not a pleasant start.
Our food arrived after 20 minutes or so, and I was so surprised to find the size of MEAT they serve!!
I thought I'm here for Tonkatsu but what I saw was a tiny piece of meat about 15g.
I have been to many many Tonkatsu place including Tokyo, Osaka, New York, Los Angeles etc but never encounterd anything like this before. It was truly shocking so I called the waitress.
I very nicely commented and asked discount on two orders. Then the waitress(owner?) immediately became so emotional and mad and rudely told me to " Never come back to our restaurant".
This was so surprising and I just didn't know how to react.
From this experience, I will never go back to the restaurant as she mentioned.
You can get so much better service, food quality, everything in Saboten or Bairin.
I'm sorry to say but I feel like this place is a rip off. And definitely inauthentic.
PS -Rice and cabbage were good. Meat was unacceptable. Shrimp was not big as they mentioned. Little pickles has no taste.
