For me, the only bad thing about FCC is that you have to be a member (or guest of member) to eat there!!I've eaten there many times with friends (one of whom is a writer for a foreign newspaper and is a club member). The food is quite cheap and yummy. Their highlights include:1) French onion soup2) curry dishes. Very good! 3) Desserts are EXCELLENT, particularly their very good Summer Berries pudding (kind of like Swiss roll but with fresh redcurrants, blue- and blackberries and rich berry sauce

4) they regularly have special promotions of food from different countries -- it's worth it to try these too
This is the restaurant to go to if you grew up in UK or went to boarding school there and miss all the British puddings, curries, and food.
Too bad it's not open to the public!
The ambience is also quite nice, high ceiling, bar area, green carpet, dark wood panelling. (A bit like Dickens Pub at the Excelsior)
On weekends they have a live band playing on the lower floor.
