went there for dinner last night (13 May 2010) with the She Who Must Be Obeyed, my little princess and the our maid. They arrived there at about quarter past 7pm. I was late and when I arrived, my family had already ordered -

瑤柱蛋白炒飯 - well fried, not oily, hot when served, and was my daughter's favourite dish.
上海春卷 - 3 pieces, again, crispy and not oily.
三鮮鍋貼 - 4 pieces, the skin was a bit thick but the meat inside was very juicy, bite size.
蒸銀絲卷 - not the best I have. My daughter like to have it with condensed milk.

After I have arrived, I have ordered additional dishes -
素菜飽 - 4 pieces. With something like pak choi inside. very delicious.
四喜烤夫 - (not baking a husband, but I don't know how to write the proper name) nothing special, but the dish reminds me that there were canned 烤夫 available in supermarkets in the good old days but I have not seen such canned 烤夫 for ages.
北京蔥油餅 - 2 pieces. a bit too oily.

All the food was served hot.

Service was great. When I arrived, I wanted to order 狗不理 as well but the waitress reminded me that I might have ordered too much. She was right. I could not finish all the food with some 蔥油餅 left behind. The same waitress kept refilling our tea, and took away emptied dises.

My wife ordered 人蔘烏龍。 The tea was great and was still tasted good after refilling several times. Now I am getting old, and started enjoying hot Chinese tea, rather than coffee when I was young.

I paid $263 for 3 adults and a kid. HSBC credit card holders enjoy 10% off.

星期六近下午4時，還未吃午飯。 早前試過點心居， 今次來試這店。

店內人不多。 開了一壺香片。 和點心居一樣: 水滾但沒有茶味。茶錢$3一位。

沒有叫其他人介紹的點心。 留意到點心紙上選擇較點心居少， 可能廚師希望專心做某幾種。 叫了:-

露荀蝦餃皇($16) - 皮薄彈牙， 饀料新鮮，多蝦少肉。 露荀令味道帶點清新。

上素蒸粉棵($12) - 同樣是皮薄彈牙。 饀料是爽脆的疏菜及像木耳的菌類。

鵝肝鮮蝦炸粉果($18) - 很久沒有吃過炸粉果。 不是太油但仍覺得較"利"。 入口較粉。 吃到小小的肝但不知是否鵝肝。 從前吃炸粉果是有一小碗湯把炸粉果放下去浸一浸，這裏沒有。 個人不太喜歡這點心。

鮮蝦腸($16) - 腸粉拉得很滑很薄， 蝦爽滑。 上枱時腸粉已切成 bite-size，很細心。

寫這食評時才發覺4樣點心有3樣是蝦

和點心居不一樣，那裏有些點心是蒸好放在蒸爐上，上枱時看到蒸了太久。 這裏看到是即蒸的，所有點心上枱時都是很熱的。

Anyway, 服務很好。 一個人坐一張小枱， 阿姐拿點心來時見我還未吃完面前的，會問一聲是否要蓋起新來的。 也不時把吃完的收去，使枱面不用太逼。

價錢這店是較點心居貴，但這店食品質素較高。連茶錢，共花了$65。 沒有加一。

唯一要說的是一位坐在收銀員旁邊的伯伯。 他走出店外抽煙。 抽完後把煙頭及其他路上的垃圾用脚掃到泊在街上的一部車底下。

Went there for lunch today, for I suddenly want to have a nice burger.
Ordered a Bacon Mushroom Burger Combo at $52. The young man standing behind the cashier looked like day-dreaming, very unattentive.
Waited for about 10 minutes. The young girl packing take-away kept dropping chips when she put them inside paper bags, same to mine.
When I returned to the office, openned my bag, and found that it was marked on the burger wrapping "chicken". Knew something went wrong. It was in fact a Chicken Crunch Burger. I think it is a few dollars cheaper.
Although the Chicken Crunch Burger still tasted good, I felt upset, not because the few dollars difference but the type of services provided. From the very unattentive cashier, to the girl that could not even pack my lunch correctly. Even Burger King or McDonald is better.

晚上約9:30pm獨自來吃晚飯，店內只有３枱人客。 店子只是一般高級茶餐廳的樣式，沒有甚麽特別。

甫坐下，待應替我開了一壺香片，水滚但沒有甚麽茶味。

叫了一客小籠包 ($12 兩只) 及三觧炒年糕 ($38)。

炒年糕先到。 是即炒的，很熱。 材料有菜、火腿、雞粒和蝦仁(不是蝦米)。 蝦仁雖細， 但彈牙。 蝦腸也清除了。 看到廚師或店主很細心。 份量較少。很少油，味道不錯。

小籠包也是即蒸的，比較遲來。 待應幫我倒醋，看到服務也是不錯的(希望不是因為人客少)。 如其他人說，皮很薄，很有彈性。 內裏有很多湯汁。 入口味道很好， 但肉餡好像蒸得過火， 比較老。

找數共$61， 包$5茶錢及加一。 在這種店子要收茶錢及加一， 比較過份。 特別是茶沒有茶味及食物份量較少。所以不能給好評。

昨天晚上，獨個兒來吃了一碗清湯腩麪。

湯是很熱的，很清的。 味道對我來說是濃的，但不像有味精。 麪很彈牙但有鹼水味。 牛腩很軟，但有嚼頭; 有少少肥，對我來說還是可以的。

對服務沒有任何期望，不過不失。

價錢已忘記，應是二十多塊。

Went there yesterday for dinner with the little princess and the She Who Must Be Obeyed, after returning from Mainland China.

We arrived at about 8:30pm. A "not-that-friendly-manager-liked" man received us, and we were led to the upper floor, as the ground floor was full. The 1st floor is rather nicely decorated, and very quiet, with a few tables of customers.

We ordered clam risotto and king prawn angel hair with salad set. I planned to share the set with my little princess, as she could not eat much.

When the salad arrived, one of the waiters explained in detail about the salad. He seemed to know the dishes well.

When the soup arrived, they gave us 3 soups, though we have only ordered two sets. A waitress told us that they had given an extra soup for my little princess. Again, it was very kind of them. The soup was fine for me, but my little princess did not like it, saying that it was too thick for her.

The main dishes arrived. They mistaken the order for my little princess and gave us truffles risotto instead. However, we did not want to give them too much trouble and had the risotto. Both risottos were quite delicious. The She Who Must Be Obeyed, who never likes western cuisine, soon gave up her risotto, saying that it was very creamy and she was full. I finished her risotto, thinking that it was actually rather nice.

After we finised the main dishes, they gave a mango pudding to my little princess. My little princess liked it very much.

I also have 2 cans of beer.

I end up paying about $430 for 2 set meals and 2 cans of beer.

To conclude, the quality of the food was good. The services were excellent. The price, I would say, is reasonable.

Went there for lunch on Sunday (28/3/2010) with my little princess and the she who must be obeyed.

Arrived at about 12:30pm, it is nearly empty. We have the all you can eat menu.

Settle down and started to get food. The quality of the food was still good. We had lots of squid, beef, and chicken. My daughter liked the cooking experience. We also had cooked food. The vegetable was fresh and tasty. The dessert was great as well, though the choices are relatively few.

The drinks were disappointing. Although there were lots of free drinks available, they were all syrup. It was so obviously that they had diluted the drink, and to add addition sugar to make the drink taste like something.

Service was remarkable bad. The restaurant is essentially self-helped. I did not expect much service. However, 3 or 4 waiters, all young men, gathered around behind my table, because it was close to the television, and just stood there watching horse racing, discussing their bets, speaking foul languages, etc. They were all very attentive, unfortunately, only to the TV but not their customers.

The price for an adult is $68, and my little princess is $58. We ended up paying $214, including 10% service charge. They gave us 10% off discount coupons.

昨天晚上吃完肥姐的生腸，肚子還有空位，再到萬家買燒餅。

第一次買，記起各位推介武大郎，便買了一個。

餅很大，熱乎乎的，先聞到一陣胡椒味。皮薄， 內裏很多肉，很多肉汁。 咬下去， 味道很好。 $10一個，覺得物超所值。

昨晚和太太約十時到此吃晚飯。只有3枱客人。

我點了雜錦蕎麥麪($40)，太太點了燒牛肉飯團($20)，1客有2個。

雜錦蕎麥麪5分鐘內到。 不是太大碗，轉眼吃光。 "雜錦"是1小片東菇，半邊普通雞蛋，2小片薄薄的鳴門卷，數條菜，醬油湯底。 一滴油也看不到。 我以為是雜菜蕎麥麪。麪也是偏軟，毫不彈牙。 $40的"雜錦"蕎麥麪，完全不值。

我吃完我的"雜錦"蕎麥麪，等了15分鐘還不見燒牛肉飯團。廚房的人很開心的談天說地，全店也聽到。 再過5分鐘，燒牛肉飯團終於到了。 鄰卓的客人即時問待應，原來他們也有點燒牛肉飯團，但他們比我和太太早到。 待應即時說他們用電腦落單，不會漏，正在製作中。

再過10分鐘，太太吃完了燒牛肉飯團，說不好吃，而且不是熱的。

即時結賬, 竟然有加一，但我有9折。 鄰卓的客人也結賬，燒牛肉飯團仍是不見踪影。 以為很簡單的晚餐，吃了30分鐘。20分鐘是為等燒牛肉飯團。

My office moves to Admiralty, and tried Moster Burger today at lunch.

Ordered a monster burger combo, i.e. 一吋手打牛肉漢堡套餐.
The beef surely measured less than 1 inch. At most, it is half inch. Having said that, the quality of the beef is good, tender and juicy. However, the overall quality of the burger is only fair in my view. It is mild warm, as if it has been made for some times already.

I ordered chips, which were real chips, not french fries. The chips were hot and crisp.

To conclude, the quality, if you compare with, even burger king, is surely much better. However, with this sort of price, I think it is not value for money.

Despite a long queue, there was only one cashier working. The one who packed my lunch seems to be not very attentive.
