Everyone in Hong Kong has heard of Malaysia, but how much do you really know about the country?

Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) has launched the Malaysia Kitchen Programme (MKP) to further promote the multicultural, vibrant and dynamic side of Malaysia. MKP is a global initiative that aims to educate and inform consumers about Malaysian cuisine and Malaysian restaurants throughout the world.

For the MKP campaign, MATRADE collaborates with Malaysian restaurants, as well as Malaysian food and ingredients suppliers, to help bring in authentic Malaysian flavours into everyone’s home.

For this year, MKP Hong Kong will continue to promote traditional Malaysian cuisine and flavours. MATRADE Hong Kong is collaborating with Royal Park Hotel to bring authentic Malaysian food, incorporating with all kinds of Malaysian cultural elements, these events will provide an authentic and multi-sensory experience of Malaysia.

In order to “Bring Malaysia into Every Home”, MKP is also promoting the ingredients, pastes, sauces and ready-to-eat products, allowing everyone to cook traditional Malaysia cuisine in their own kitchen.

From today till end of October, 2+2 café of Royal Park Hotel has joined hands with MATRADE Hong Kong in bringing you an “Enticing Malaysian Gourmet Journey”. Main Chef has sourced ingredients from popular locations of Malaysia to prepare for the finest Malaysian cuisines. The rich and flavorful dishes available at the dinner buffet include Malaysian laksa soup and Teh Tarik from Penang; Malaysian chicken coconut soup and assorted Malay satay from Malacca; Terengganu Sata mackerel, Terengganu Sata cod fish, Terengganu Sata saury from Terengganu; Malaysian sambal chicken with bread from Kelantan, to introduce you to the true flavor of Malaysia.

Match the Malaysian food with their Malaysian names using our card boards. The participant to finish in the shortest time wins, and will automatically enter the final. Winner of each night will be entitled to one free dinner buffet on the same night.

Final on October 31: Laksa noodle eating contest
The winner of each day from Oct 1-30 will enter the final, participant to finish eating the Laksa noodle in the shortest time will win fabulous prize.

Rules:
1.When patronizing dinner buffet at 2+2 cafe, you are entitled to the card game once.
2.Participants are required to complete the entry form and submit the form to our restaurant staff before the start of the game.
3.The participant to complete the game each night the quickest will automatically enter our final at the end of each month.
4.If more than one person wins, participants will be required to compete again.
5.Participants are required to patronize dinner buffet at 2+2 cafe on the day of final round.
6.If there are more than one winner in the final, participants will be required to compete again until one wins.
7.If participants are unable to attend the final, their entry will be withdrawn.
8.In case of any dispute, Royal Park Hotel reserves the right of final decision.
