What a German restaurant! The sausage platter was so generous and the foot long frankfort was just right. Such value for money with servings liked these!

Went there on a Saturday evening around 9pm. The place was not full.....however, there was obviously a problem with the waiters; there were around 3-4 waiters only serving all the tables and because of this, had to keep calling them for various needs/service. The food was great and if they can employ more staff and reorganize the service, it would be a more popular eating out venue! 3 of us went there and from start to finish the food and service was excellent. 2 of us started off with the goulash soup. Very tender pieces of meat and tasty. Coupled with their bread it is a great start to a meal on a cold winters night. The other 2 had different sausages for their main course. The restaurant makes their own sausages and smokes them as well. I had the pigs knuckle. Very cripsy skin and it had all been cut off the bone so no fighting to get at the food. New potatoes where very tasty as well. After that we took 2 pieces of apple strudel and a zopf raisin loaf home with us. Since it was after 7pm there was discount at the deli counter. Left there very satisfied. Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

This German deli at the basement of the Holiday Inn Golden Mile hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is a treasure. You can either eat in or order take out. If you eat in, you get served by friendly and accommodating floor staff; and if you take out, you get 50% off on dessert and pastries. They've also got a small selection of table wines which are not pricey at all. Although branded as a German deli, this place serves more than German fare. Their Cesar Salad with Shrimp was scrumptious with the grilled shrimp served on a stick.
Their penne was al dente although the broccoli was slightly limp and overcooked.
We also tried their baked salmon which was absolutely succulent! I loved how the butter just melts into the folds of the salmon and how the salmon melts into the folds of my tongue.
They also have more than a dozen different kinds of German sausages. The one we had had cheese stuffed inside it, which oozes out in a thick dribble when you bite or slice the sausage.
The Tiramisu was pretty good - not soggy, not spongy; not too bitter, not too sweet. The Chocolate Cake was so rich, it could probably cause a heart attach. My favourite was the Mango Yoghurt Cake which was just a little bit sweet, and just rightly sour.
If you can catch their tea time (until 6pm), you can order their tea set - a 3-layer plate of assorted sandwiches, pastries and cakes that come with a pot of tea or coffee.

My father suggested to come to this restaurant with me after my 4 hours exhausting lesson in TST. It was around 1p.m. when we arrived, there are several empty tables even though we have already booked the table for sofa seat. The environment is dim but comfortable because the setting is kinda countryside and the waitresses are wearing lace blouse which has a country girl feeling. The set lunch comes with a soup,a main course,a dessert and a drink. There are 4 set lunch to choose from and we ordered Fish with Spinach and Potato and a braised beef brisket with cheese & macaroni as our main course. For that day, there are only 1 kind of soup which is the beef brooth. Broth is distinct from stock, which is a thin liquid made by simmering raw ingredients until all the taste has been retrieved from them, then sieving the resulting liquid. Its beef broth is tasty, very simple but well falvoured. The soup also comes with bread but rather giving you a basket, the waiter was holding a big basket of several kinds and you can choose what you like. I chose their wholewheat as well as semi-whole wheat bread. My dad chose sesame bun. As a bread lover, I can tell that their bakery is awesome as their bread is chewy and cakey and smells very wheaty too. The deep brown colour of the wholewheat one is just my favourite among all. Just after our starter, the main course came at the right moment. The portion of the fish is pretty small indeed according to the price. Dad as a fish lover tells that it is quite fresh and the side dish is tasty too. As for my beef brisket, it is very tender and the beef taste is very rich. The cheese and macaroni is nice too but not special. We are told that we can choose our cake/tart at the bakery or simply have a plate of fruit. We both went to to the bakery and I got a classic Plum Streusel and dad went for the marble cheese cake. It was the first time for me to try Plum Streusel, the texture was like something between bread and cake. There are several layers within one streusel, and the plum's sweetness is just right and balances out the whole tart. It impresses me afterall. As I had 2 more hours to go, I stayed and enjoy my cup of Hot Chocolate. Even though we have already paid the check, they did let me sit there and was willing to constantly fill my jar of hot water as the air-con was too powerful. Anyway, it is a nice place to enjoy your lunch when you have plenty of time to spend.

tried the lunch in 假日美食店 the dishes are very special, but not really taste good esp. the "meat roll" when I saw it, I was shocked it is luncheon meat + fried egg which costs $128! already it tastes better than ordinary luncheon meat, but I was a bit disappointed about it for the set lunch, a piece of cake is included and the cake tatses good Spending per head: Approximately HKD100 Other Ratings: Taste 3 | Environment 3 | Service 4 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 3

We like Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (黑森林蛋糕) . My husband's mom told me that there's a family restarant that provides German food in the town. It locates in the basement of Golden Miles Holiday Inn in TST. After finishing the morning seminar, I met my husband in there. When we arrived, there's only about 10 customer enjoying their afternoon tea sets, either sandwich or hot dog. Since this is a German restarant, we forgot the affortable tea sets (@$7x per set) to a la carte. Since we had lunch in 2 hours ago, we simply ordered a roasted pork (燒德國豬手). Then, each of us were served by a roll with butter. I think the bun may be made by the hotel's centralized kitchen, very crispy with good texture! It tooks only 10 minutes for the roasted pork to be served on our table. The skin was so CRISPY and it was made per order. The meat was tender and taste very good! This "pork-ie" taste and smell was so wonderful~ If we are not going to work in the late afternoon, we will have german beer instead of iced lemon tea. Sometime, I prefer the american style iced tea instead of the local style iced lemon tea because of its convenience. We had the 黑森林蛋糕 & German Cheesecake to end the meal: The Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (黑森林蛋糕) may be the best one in the town. I love that because the liquors cherries (maraschino cherries!?) The whipped cream holds the cherries in wonder texture and position on the cake. The German Cheesecake is another surprise. You will find liquor taste and smoothly creamcheese in the cake here. I prefer adding liquor in cakes and sweet treats, of course not for kids. The dinning room's decoration is warm and good for family gathering.
