Strawberries and cream are always good together especially during the Wimbledon season.The drink was lovely and creamy and the strawberry syrup that they used was quite nice and did not taste fake.

Before drinking it I would advise to stir the drink with the straw so that when you drink it the taste of strawberry and cream will be consistent.Although it is made with soy milk i could not taste it, but it definately tastes better than the strawberry soy cheesecake served at Starbucks before.

Originally went in to try the ice shaken lemon tea, but end up getting the new Peanut mocha.

There were two drinks in the Peanut series, the Peanut mocha and Peanut chocolate chip cream.
If I had saw the other chocolate chip cream poster, I would have ordered that because I am not fond of coffee, but I got the Peanut mocha for the fun of it.

The Peanut mocha contains: Mocha sauce, peanut syrup, Starbucks coffee, topped with whipped cream and caramel peanut drizzle and the Peanut chocolate chip cream contains Mocha sauce, peanut syrup, chocolate chip, topped with whipped cream and caramel peanut drizzle.

When I got my Peanut mocha, I felt I had made the right choice, the coffee wasn’t as that strong, but the bitterness of it balanced out the sweetness of the peanut syrup.
In this case, the Monin’s peanut syrup worked, some of their syrups taste nice and some don’t.

I had it warmed up nicely with a crunchy surface as always - not bad at all. Quite filling and rich. Just the right portion as a full lunch meal!

White christmas cake

This was a round cake, dusted with coconut, it was pure white and quite Christmassy.
If it was shaped like a snowball, even better!

The mousse surrounding it was white chocolate flavoured, and inside there were berries, initially I was alarmed because they looked like red beans, but they were berries in the end.

Overall, the proportion of mousse, berries and cake could have been better, there was too much mousse in comparision to the cake.
The sweet berry filling was ok.

Dont know if the coffee jelly drink is still now available. I tried the caramel one and made it decaff. Taste was still good. and I could go sleep on that night! (ususally this is the reason I dont drink coffee)

So, I think decaff is not bad

Well, I thought I would eat the more Chrismassy cakes nearer xmas.

Today got the eggnogg tart.

Basically the SB's version is a tart filled with sponge cake layer, then cream on top.
The eggnogg brandy taste wasnt that strong, the creme was a bit thick. I would have preferred a custard like texture.

So I thought this was a bit of a disappointment to the xmas series.

NOW if you have the standard chartered credit card you can add $1 for another cup. it can be another drink (not necessarily the same drink, just the price is comparable with the other one). will come back definitely before the promotion ends, very attractive right?

late tea at about 6 sth pm last friday. couldnt have sofa seats this time but i like the instrumental background music.

had hot green tea latte and the chocolate cake. like them both. first time tried the green tea latte, a very good choice for hot drink. but its too full to have the latte and the cake for the tea, though the cake was shared with my friend.
