Welcome to The Stoep on Lower Cheung Sha Beach, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Yes thats right. You do not have to scoot to Bali or Phuket - its right here on your doorstep. And that's was The Stoep means. A step, a veranda, a place in front of the house to watch life pass by on a sunny day.

We had the country bread with Tsatsiki (great), Greek salad for starters (good), Grilled sausage with cream potatoes (great), and grilled lamb chops (good)

While the orginal South African elements are no longer much in evidence the BBQ, the homemade bread (don't forget to bring home a loaf) and the sheer thrill of eating with sand carressing your feet makes it all the troubles worth to make the treck. Go there and experience a real day off in Hong Kong. PS cash only!
