Having tried 2 of Jamie's restaurants in London, I was interested to try out his new project in Hong Kong. I was deeply disappointed. All the hype and constantly full bookings is just a smoke screen, the food, I have to say is some of the worse I've had in Hong Kong. Jamie's restaurants in London are at the worse incosistent, where food at one branch maybe superior. Jamie's restaurants in London are at the worse incosistent, where food at one branch maybe superior. In Hong Kong, the service was very good but the food certainly did not match. Our meal there didn't even inspire me to take photos, though the decoration was very modern and unique. We were a table of 2 and ordered 2 starters to share, 2 mains and a side.

Starters:

Aranchini Margherita
- Crispy on the outside and cheesy inside, probably the best dish we had that night.

World's best Olive on Ice
- Never had such foul tasting tapenade. There was a very bitter after-taste and an odd sweetness. Unfortunately, the tapenade from the supermarket tasted better than this.

Mains:

Fresh Crab Spaghetti
- A few flakes of crab drenched in soap-like water. Tasted bland and the watery sauce was very off-putting. Worse than instant pasta.

Lamb lollipops
The better main of the 2, small portions but tasted good. It didn't really stand out.

Sides:

Posh Chips -  Regular thick cut fries with slight to no truffle taste. Again, a miss.

Overall, great service and decor but food was just not good. I really did expect more from Jamie's food, with his sucess in England and his TV shows. I was quite disappointed.
