To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 銀龍、翠華,太興被譽為港式茶餐廳三巨頭,雖然係咁,但係從其宣傳策略已經知道三者定位不一;太興走潮流pop up元素,專攻打入年輕一輩,力證茶餐廳並非一定old school;翠華款式眾多,從小炒、燒味、風味,小品無一不通。 夾在兩巨龍中間,銀龍地位就略顯微妙,沒有獨特招牌菜,或吸引客群目光的譁眾取寵。
作為茶餐廳常客,爹牛一定係每個香港人都愛點的菜式,簡單卻令人回味。作為連鎖經營的茶餐室,簡簡單單的一客爹牛不過不失,價錢偏貴,但以香港百物騰貴的蜚然現象,還算可以接受。
雖然沒有翠華的百貨應百客,太興的鋪天蓋地式宣傳,可是布癲狗還是特別喜歡實而不華的銀龍。
畢竟三者之間,就只有銀龍最忠實傳承著港式茶餐廳的精隨,簡單樸素。
同一般茶仔設計一樣, 卡位有一堆, 圓枱又有幾張, 方便大埋頭黎食。今次是我第一次黎銀龍食, 無錯, 真係第一次!以前一直聽到不少負面新聞, 所以一直沒有興趣來, 誰知當我最累的時候, 這店就剛好在我眼前, 蝦餅又話要試, 所以試一次吧。 由於只想搵地方坐坐, 不太餓, 所以選了穩陣的河粉。36元未包飲品, 價錢偏貴, 不過已經是比較便宜的一樣, 又沒有快餐, 都係隨便食食。
難得黎一次, 竟然不錯, 值得再黎。
