There are many kinds of bread, tart, croissant and etc.  Many are so attractive in both appearance and flavour which made me difficult to choose. Finally, I decided with difficulties to buy pistachio tart which seems less devil as large of part of fat is from the healthy pistachio nut .   The crust of pistachio tart was a bit overbaked for me.  Though the curst was not so buttery but flaky , I enjoyed every bite of the pistachio filling  which is full of pistachio with milky flavour  and creamy texture.…查看更多

A slice cake contained different layers of flavours.Grape with jelly on top, light sweet and green grape flavor followed with condensed milk flavor cream.  Then there was a layer of sponge cake with granulate nuts. This layer I liked most.  It was watermelon with a layer of water melon flavor cream, a fresh flavor of water meloncould be tasted even without eating the piece of water melon.  Then, there was a repeated sponge cake with granulatenuts.  Overall, I liked this cake becauseit’s light sweetness, not heavy with different flavors, i.e. green grape,condensed milk, fresh water melon flavours. …查看更多

I just took a seat randomly when I saw the  menu and bad smell from boat can smelt. Therefore, when I ordered food at counter, I said that I wanted to takea seat which is a small bit far from the centre-chairs.  The waiter said that I could sit if I tookaway.  That is good which I can save service charges.  A small box of Carbonara which was very hot. Once opened the box, aroma of buttery ejected. At that time, I thought those cheese tart would not be bad. The stuffing of cheese tart was smooth and cheesy while the crust of tart was toasty and very buttery.  For  chocolate cheese tart was a flavor of Milo rather than chocolate.  Therefore, I would prefer cheese tart.   In overall, cheese lover should not miss the cheese tart!…查看更多

Because there was buy one get one free promotion for tea buffet with particular visa card. After arriving the hotel, I walked around to see what I had interest but not many choices could attracted me. I picked cooked shrimp which tasted alright but only a third round was satisfied with its freshness. For first and second round, some were not fresh enough. Beef was alright, not good but not bad. There were three choices of pizza and I just tried BBQ duck pizza which was general in flavour. Chinese soup was a bit salty but flavor was good. The flavor of curry lamb was good except too spicy with bitterness. But it was alright to eat the lamb paired with plain rice.  There were three types of cheese kept in refrigator to keep the freshness and hygiene which was good for diner and hotel.  Worth to try. Other dishes I did not tried, such as cooked salmon fish head, deep fried meats and there was stand cooked food station. Tuna bread sandwich and egg sandwich with much stuffing and salads.There were quite a number of desserts selections. For me, the standard of desserts was general in terms of taste in overall . I should say the appearance was better than the taste. There was a long queue for baked cheese mini tart, which the crust absolutely not buttery and the stuffing with only slight cheese flavor. Cheese cake was cheesy at first bite and not strong for the rest bites. Pan fired soufflé was smooth but I could not tell what flavor. As it was high calories dessert and so not worth for me try to eat the rest.There was green tea slice cake and mango chestnut slice cake upon request at station counter. The green tea slice cake was alright while mango chestnut slice cake with a bit strange flavor. One day I walked along Nomads and discovered that it also served pizzas which was special flavor and ingredient. Therefore I took away Mongolian Lamb pizza at $42. It was a small circle pizza with thin crust. There were onion, green bell pepper, coriander and sliced lamb meat with Mongolian sauce. Though the sauce offered neither special taste nor spicy as I expected but as a whole, the flavor was quite good. The green bell pepper was a good pair with lamb which was a bit gamey. Those vegetables did not baked to dry as there was enough sauce to get wet. Also, I thought this pizza was healthier than other as the crust was much less oil used. I do not buy its signature croissant because it is so evil. Therefore, I bought Tuna bread and Mushroom bread at a discounted priceof $22 for two at night.  Tuna bread wasfull of tuna flavor but too salty and so it was better to share  As for the mushroom bread, there was slicedmushroom seasoned with a little bit black pepper.  On the contrary, this bread just gave a verylittle bit of cheesy and salty flavor with a small amount of cheese ontop.  Only the two small spot ofsomething like cream cheese gave a flavor. This mushroom bread was obviously not my cup of tea while tuna bread couldhave a try.…查看更多

There were three grades of beef to choose with different prices tobe charged.Some cooked dishes as chicken rice, assorted vegetables and one selectionof soup were available.  For desserts,there were delicious soft serve and aged-mandarin- peel red bean soup which wasa bit too sweet and tasted like aged-mandarin peel -plum!The four choices of soup base for the hot pot were Sukiyaki, tomato,cheese (with a bit black pepper) and seaweeds. For me, Sukiyaki was the best as it was a bit sweet which addedsweetness to lotus, assorted mushrooms and beans and so I ate much vegetables.  There were a wide selection of vegetablessuch as green papaya, seaweed, lettuce, fresh corn, bean sprouts, sweetpotatoes, taro and other assorted vegetables. For meat with a few options such as mushroom-pork meatball, beefmeatball, fish meatball and processed- squid. As for the lowest grade of beef ($129 for 90 mins) we ordered which wastoo fat for us.  For the soup base of seaweeds should not be cooked with vegetablesbecause of tasteless seaweeds itself.  Asfor the cheese soup base, it was just a little bit of cheesy for vegetable butnot for meat.  Furthermore, its cheesydeclined for ingredients already absorbed and after seaweeds soup was added ( apot of seaweed soup was in each table) .  There were many ready-made sauces such as sesame which was not my cup oftea.All in all, it was alright for those meat and vegetable lovers underthe condition that the right soup base was chosen.…查看更多

I do not visit Delifrance for a very long time since the food  cannot please my palate and so the price-performance ratio is low .  As I have $50 voucher which can be used upon$100 purchase, I visited again with my sister.I chose a 2 courses set of Beef Lasagna ($77) with tomato soupw/cheese.  Tomato soup was general withthe taste of ready-made tomato soup adding some cheese .  For the main of Beef Lasagna, there was onlya bit of minced beef and cheese with a hint of sweet tomato flavour. Though mysister was satisfied with this lasagna but I felt just t got a pass.  Except for that 2 courses set, we also pickedthe only one choice of yogurt which was Meiji yogurt berries ($12/1pcs).For the other 2 courses set, we picked French Baguette with TunaMayonnaise & Salmon Mayonnaise and green salad as the side.The half of French Baguette with Tuna Mayonnaise, lettuce and tomatofillings which tasted alright.  However,the other half with Salmon Mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato fillings had beentasted a bit fishy which should not be if it was fresh.  From the picture which may give the impression that the stuffing ofTuna was much but in fact it was regular.We also tried NY Cheese slice cake ($37) which tasted alright butabsolutely could not excite our taste buds. I would prefer cheese cake in fast food café Mx which tasted quite goodand far less pricey.…查看更多

As Mini Friday do not commence for lunch now, we chose this café this time.I was happy with many lunch sets to choose. Those priced at $50-ish to $60-ish, desserts of chocolate fondue, red bean coconut panna cotta and crème brulee excluded. For those priced ranged from $60-ish to $90-ish, one dessert could be chosen among the three mentioned..The lunch set of羊扒茄茸意大利飯($78) came with salad of vegetable with cheese powder sprinkled on top and the taste was alright. I chose spinach creamy soup out of Chinese-y soup which was only a bit creamy with vegetable flavour, but not like spinach to me and not very suit my taste. Sides also had a piece of flavourful garlicky crispy bread. After enjoying the sides, the main of羊扒茄茸意大利飯served. A piece of lamb sitting on tomato-flavoured risotto. Though the risotto was not creamy, both tomato flavour and saltiness was intense and I was also satisfied with the lamb. Rounded off the meal with red bean coconut panna cotta with a bit of red bean on top. The coconut flavour was weak with minimum sweetness. I intended to go to Magic for the Pork risotto but not available that day. Therefore, I chose a lunch set of匈牙利汁燴牛肉飯($48). The meat, like brisket with much sauce which tasted like regular red wine sauce brisket and the meat was tender. As this dish had much sauce, I expected plain rice was the side. Surprised to me, it came with tasty garlicky rice with herbs sprinkled on top! I should say it was hearty rice and I liked it most for the whole dish.Though this set did not have dessert of red bean coconut panna cotta or chocolate lava, it had green lemon flavour jelly this time instead of a mini slice of water melon and for the drink, I chose hot honey Jasmine.It was worthy to visit. This lunch set costed at $48 had soup, a piece of garlicky bread, the main, mini dessert and a drink. Walked along the road there was a 2 level-shop selling foods . Upstairs there was a shop cum café. Several dinner sets were provided with 70% off. Therefore, it was more economical for ordering dinner set. The starter was one thin slice of chilled Tofu and salmon with sweet & salty sauce. A bit of salad vegetable placed at bottom. No complaint with the starter. As for the soup, I felt it was using seasoned- concentrated tomato juice. The taste was like sauce with tomato puree rather than soup for me, I meant too salty for me.The main I picked was Fettuccine with pan seared scallop. The three medium sized - Hokkaido scallop was sashimi grade and was pan fried with good time. However, fettuccine with the herb sauce which was not creamy and a bit dry and the main seasoning I could taste was black pepper, dried pepper with seeds which resulting spicy and causing me running nose though I made full effort to avoid pepper seeds. Obviously, it was good for spicy lover, but not me.The final touch was a small slice of cream cake and a cup of Americao which were nothing special.A dinner set priced at $137 after discounting which was price –performance ratio was not low. I with my youngest sister and her colleagues were BBQ at Whitehead. Though there was absence of picturesque sea view, sea breeze was the best for me to kill the heat. Also, there were game facilities for children and mahjong for adult to play. We ate the seafood set for 10 persons (See below the menu) adding with suckling pig($638). The suckling pig was charcoaled by my sister’s colleague for around 2 hours and the final presentation was quite good. It was cut into pieces by the staff upon request. The skin of suckling pig was crispy. Mini Japanese sweet potato was charcoaled for a short time and was very sweet. Not all shrimps were fresh but they were large and it was pity that there was no foil paper for fish to BBQ. This was a small eatery which the environment was not good. However, the seating were nearly full.I ordered the dinner set of .黑醋豬柳意粉 which came with a cup of potato cream soup, drink and dessert.Potato cream soup was just potato soup without any milk and had a hint of sour which made me think of resting too long and so I just drunk some. The main dish of 黑醋豬柳意粉 was also disappointed me which was not vinegary enough and meat was just a few sliced pork.After consuming the main dish and soup, I could just had expectation for dessert and I chose cheese cake. It was not cheesy enough and the taste of cheese was a bit strange for my taste buds. The whole dinner which could satisfied me was coffee. There were game machines beside the café and therefore the environment was a bit noisy. Took a seat and ordered the main dish of Red wine braised ribs with mushrooms and rice. There were six large brisket pieces served in a pan with a plate of rice with mushroom. The standard of brisket was cooked conventionally with red wine, tomato, carrot and subtle spices, taste like Cha Chaan Teng while seasoned rice was more attractive to me because of the balanced of saltiness and the flavour a bit dried mushroom slices.
