Came here around 3pm and got the fried chicken pancakes with the poach egg and the uji matcha latte. Wanted to try the black sesame matcha one but it was sold out. It hit the spot as I was quite hungry. The latte was rich so I recommend trying. 🍵 good place to chill. I’ve ordered the unagi and wagyu lunch set, and the difference between the thing and the picture was ridiculous considering the price. My friend ordered the double don set and it was normal and pretty good in value. I get that you can’t reproduce exactly but looking at the photos you know what I mean.It did taste good, just the toppings were about 30% less. I want to love this place as I love American pies. Last time I had a pistachio one and it was soggy. This time the banana pieces were blackened. I think it would have been better to freshly cut the banana pieces for the top when served. For $90 I feel it should be top quality. I am even forgiving their throw away thin paper plates. The decor was chic and relaxing. We snagged ourselves a corner booth. The service was good though could maybe be a tiny bit less attentive.The steak was fried nicely and had a nice chargrill aroma with a nice pepper sauce. The chicken had a nice portion but I think it needed more sides and flavouring. It tasted just like any old Chinese salty chicken which you could get anywhere. I think that the chicken was a Chinese one as it had the quality of what I dubbed as ‘alien chicken’ with randomly scattered gloobs of fat around the meat , which by the way guys, it is not normal. Fat should be like string together, not like beads on the white meat. We also had a half portion pasta which was a pretty size already. One thing I have to say that the flavouring just felt like it was salt and pepper only for every dish. I couldn’t taste other types of spices, herbs and the playing of ingredients; this could just be that the dishes we ordered all happened to be like that.I had the creamed spinach as sides and really wished that they used western spinach and make the sauce much less watery. Went to this place for brunch. I was quite looking forward to this place. My friend ordered the fish with pineapple and the fish was fried well but the pineapple over powered, which some people might enjoy. I ordered the all day breakfast - The small portion of beans, small sausages and scramble eggs were kind of expected in Hong Kong but I WAS SOOOO DISAPPOINTED when the salad leaves were all old and brown. Great size and not too thick crust. I have to say it’s much better than PE (still don’t get why it’s actually popular in HK). The topping is generous. Tea time the portions are smaller so I prefer a la cart, reason being that if you enlarge a smaller pizza to normal size, the edges without any topping will increase too. Simple maths.…查看更多

The stronger items are definitely the desserts. The savoury dishes I am sure you can get in any other Japanese restaurants in the whole TST area. Although teatime value sets are definitely friendly to the purses. I am definitely a matcha fiend and I would recommend the soft serve in Cha Cha or Via Tokyo more. …查看更多

Really top notch flavouring. My favourite was actually the humble carbonara done properly with eggs, and not with cream, even I do love a cream sauce. Th fish and meat were good also. Risotto was hard. Not s huge fan of the peach (too unrippen and hard) salad as I felt that the money could be spent on another ingredient. Desserts were cute but not filling. I was happy to discover a new good quality sushi ya-san. I had a set and asked to replace the prawns because I was allergic but fortunately they refused to do so even if to replace it with a cheaper ネタ. Quite strange for a restaurant to be a so unfriendly about it. I also ordered the tamakoyaki which was lovely but i waited for 20 minutes; well truth be told the waitress seemed to have gotten many orders wrong (I was sitting at the counter where the sushi was being made and the chefs seemed quite exasperated) so I don’t think that it was personal. Having tried Kikusan you can kind of tell that it's another Maxim's Group baby. The ingredients and the decor are similar. The ingredients were pretty fresh and the rice seasoning is not bad. My friend recommended this place to me because of the food quality and that they dont know how long it will be there. The staff was very euthusiastic and the decor is old New York Italian. There were beautiful ceramic plates but most of them were cracked. I was told that the portion has gotten smaller but it was still large enough considering the price. We ordered the carpaccio, vodka pasta, a fish dish and T bone, followed by the flambé banana dessert. All were very tasty so I do hope that the restaurant will last. The quality of the snacks and sweet 'meats' is kept at a certain standard even through the years. I did make the mistake of ordering the black sesame dessert soup though which was on the bland side. I was fairly hungry so I wanted a hearty meal after much walking. There were a couple of people queueing outside so we waited for about 15 minutes. Initially I wanted to order the black sesame tsukemen which sounded very intriguing, but found out that actually they only do that during the afternoon. Dinner only serves ramen. Since I am allergic to prawns I ordered the class. To be honest for any new ramen place I go to, I always try the simplest one first to get a sense of the place. You could tell by the way it was ran (service and presentation) that it was by Japanese. The standard portion was very filling which is perfect for a cold evening. The soup was thick without being too salty (I added pepper and garlic which complimented the flavours). The onsen egg had a sweet note and the noodles were boiled just right. To be honest, I find that more and more, I prefer the eggs and manma than the pork, so if only they could exchange the meat with the pork, it would be perfect. …查看更多

So either this place was owned or managed by a Japanese. I was greeted by a oyaji whom I saw helping inside the kitchen later. Looks like he is training and teaching them the skill. I ordered the garlic ramen: the noodles were al dente and I particularly enjoyed the taste of the menma. The pork was very thin but it was very flavourful. The soup itself was quite thick and less salty than some other shops out there. I would like to try the most simple ramen next time. One thing I must admit, I absolutely despise Domino and Pizza Hut so for me, this place is what fast food pizza would be like. I am a thin crust pizza kind of person all the way and this is a good place to get the quick cravings sorted. There are other places which do better pizze. Sometimes they burn the crust a little which means that chef skill is a little unstable.…查看更多
