Treated my gf for a dinner as a reciproal for her treating me an evening of fine dining at Amigo. To my surprise, the bills for Louis Steak House and Amigo were close. Louis is an old restaurant, both in terms of its interior decoration and service quality, and this is definitely its asset and a good thing for diners. The rib eye ordered was very good, and the salad before it was amazing and beyond my expectation. The green salad was not the kind you find it ordinary, run-of-the-mill or even

The rib eye ordered was very good, and the salad before it was amazing and beyond my expectation. The green salad was not the kind you find it ordinary, run-of-the-mill or even hotel restaurants. Another pleasant surprise was the house wine, which in some restaurants is a synonym for garbage. Not here. The house red wine (I forget the name) was smooth, medium-bodied, a little tannic with a fruity after taste. Clearly Louis is trying to convince people like me that they are serious about food quality. And they did the job well.
The valet parking guy was nice and so was everyone there. Indeed at one point there appeared more waiters than diners in that weekend evening.
Save a little pricy for this class of restaurant, I was very satisfied and went home with a big tummy.
