When I first saw the name 潮食地 (English name: Chill Cafe), I thought .. is it a cafe? From afar it looked bright and colorful. Inside the place had a female friendly decor. But the menu gave it away. It was a cha chan teng but just decorated a lot nicer. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. They offer a la carte along with sets that come with a drink.I had Scrambled Egg with BBQ Pork and Scallion with Rice ($58). A decent amount of scallions. The egg was soft and fluffy.

I had Scrambled Egg with BBQ Pork and Scallion with Rice ($58). A decent amount of scallions. The egg was soft and fluffy. The char siu was dry but acceptable. They gave a good amount of sauce and portion was generous.
Boyfriend ordered from their afternoon tea set. Small Minced Meat with Fried Egg and Rice ($48). For a small size, it was quite generous as well. The mince pork had a strong tomato sauce flavour. The egg still had a very runny yolk.
The ice tea was ok. But the most interesting thing is they even had pretty paper straws. For a cha chan teng, it was definitely different.
The food was ok. Not great but decent enough. Portions were generous. And the decor definitely was pretty. Doubt we'd be back but always a nice option if we are in the area.
