Wheatfield x Borsch & Noodles is a place the serves borsch soup in both the traditional Russian form with beetroot or the Hong Kong modified form found on every corner of the city. Boyfriend and I were planning to eat some where else when we came across this one. We needed a quick early dinner before things started to close or became take away only. They offered an afternoon tea menu. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. All sets come with a drink.Boyfriend had the wit

Boyfriend had the with regular size beef borsch soup with Shanghai noodle ($58). The soup had a rich beef flavor. There was a number of pieces of thick beef brisket found throughout the bowl that was very tender and juicy. Lots of vegetables were also found as well.
I had the small bowl of beef borsch soup with a bun ($40). I was surprised to find pieces of beef brisket as well. I thought it was just going to be soup. Combined with all the vegetables, it was filling.
It came with a crispy toasted sweet dinner bun. Great for dipping into the soup.
The soup was definitely the star as it was very rich and savory. I'll probably try the beetroot version next time.
