My birthday always falls on Mother's Day or the same weekend. So getting a booking for any place is near impossible. They also have a la carte.
I had the Peach Oolong Tea that came with the set. It was ok. I think the one in Pacific Place tasted better. This one seemed a bit more watered down.
Boyfriend had the wintermelon tea with boba ($43). This was much better though not as strong in the taste of tea like the Pacific Place branch.
Boyfriend had the food for the $98 set. He chose the stir fried minced pork mixed noodles with chive flowers and fermented black bean. It was pretty spicy! But he felt it was perfect. Though he added a bit of the Kiki chili oil and powder that was available on the table to kick it up a notch. For the side, he had the Kiki Meat dumplings. These were soaked in the Kiki chili sauce so yes, also spicy. But I grabbed one that wasn't drenched in the chilli sauce and it was ok. Not spectacular. I guess it's all in the sauce.
I had the Boston lobster mixed noodles in lobster bisque. Originally $138, now doing a promotion that costs it only $78! A much better deal. It looked lovely and there was some chunks of lobster and prawn found in it. However, the sauce wasn't rich. It didn't even have a hint of seafood flavor. It just tasted like a weak tomato sauce. It also seemed a bit odd with the Asian noodle. It made it seem more starchy in texture.
Food was ok but at least better than the Pacific Place branch. And far cheaper in price. The drinks here weren't as good as the branch in Pacific Place. But at least it was still better than the noodles. Might be back if I needed something casual and tidy.
