I originally booked this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday dinner but because of the 3rd wave of COVID-19 we are not allowed to dine in anymore. Their staff contacted me a week prior to see if I want to switch to lunch and I said yes, they provided me with the menu already via WhatsApp. I preordered the degustation menu at that time and I thought everything was set. On the day of his birthday, we arrived the building realising we couldn’t even go up to the 21st floor. The receptionist said they weren’t open due to COVID, therefore the floor was locked. I called the restaurant - no answer. I called the WhatsApp number - no answer but has read my messages and was online. Few minutes later another number called and asked why I was calling. I told them we were downstairs and the man just kept saying that their staff should’ve called every single booking to let everyone know that it’s closed. I didn’t get any calls nor missed calls/voice messages. I asked why didn’t you guys contact me like before via WhatsApp? You can see the history that nobody has informed me about the closure at all.
The male apologised and said he would give us an offer if we visit again next time, I was too pissed at that time to have walked all the way over from the station at 34 degrees under the hot sun. I told them to send the offer via WhatsApp and they never even followed up.
A real disappointment!
