After a week of hectic work, I decided to ask my wife out for Japanese buffet to relax ourselves. Superior Manya Japanese Restaurant was located at Wu Sang House, just above Mongkok MTR exit. For their lunch buffet, it was priced at $183 per person, which was considered cheap for their quantity and quality of food offered. Drinks and desserts were placed in the glass fridge, for us to take. They have a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as desserts and fruits etc. Their choice of food was very wide, ranging from sashimi, sushimi, fried food, teppanyaki, noodles, skewer and tempura etc.
Somersby apple was sweet and refreshing, which slight alcohol content. It has strong apple taste too.
I ordered sweet shrimp, jumbo prawn, scallop and sliced octopus sashimi. They were fresh and chewy, going well with the wasabi and soy sauce.
Seared eel sushi with cheese was very delicious, almost melting in my mouth when i chewed it. Eel was very soft and smooth, cheesy as well. Seared Japanese beef sushi with rock salt was tender and smooth, melting in my mouth too.
Japanese eel - It was marinated till very juicy and sweet, soft and smooth too.
Skewed fish - It was skewed till charred, yet was still very soft and smooth. Mayo sauce was provided to enhance the taste.
Tiger prawn was surprisingly huge in size, and was grilled till flavourful. It was chewy and smooth too.
Fried chicken wings was juicy and smooth, slightly spicy too. Fried durian ball was surprisingly good too, with lava durian paste in it.
We were only allowed to choose 1 ice cream among this few brands. Frozen yogurt of mango and kiwi flavour and sweet and smooth, with strong kiwi and mango taste.
