this location was operated by a so-so restaurant before. so i was happy to see East Ocean has started a new branch here, with some upscale renovation.on this wednesday around 11:45 am, the place had plenty of tables to choose. they have promotional prices for some limited number of dim sum if the bill is paid before 12:30. but we stayed on beyond that time since we enjoyed the nice ambience and good food there.steamed glutinous rice roll 糯米卷 was very good, with right combination of fillings, ric

steamed glutinous rice roll 糯米卷 was very good, with right combination of fillings, rice and seasoning.
steamed rice-roll with deep-fried chinese "donut" 炸兩腸粉 was freshly made and crunchy, the best i ever have.
pan-fried taro cake 煎芋頭糕 is thinner than usual, and hence more crispy. it is loaded with ingredients too.
shrimp dumpling 蝦餃 is medium size and filled with flavorful shrimp.
red dates glutinous cake 紅棗糕 is not too sweet, but not enough flavors.
there are also special dim sum items and small dishes not usually available in other dim sum restaurants.
to our surprise, once passed 12:30, they delivered a complimentary dish of blanched lettuce to every table. fresh and tasty.
service is friendly and efficient. the place is less noisy than typical dim sum restaurants.
