My experience with taiwanese food started in Seattle of all places. There was this little shop that served the best taiwanese beef noodle soup with its rich and unique tasting broth. I was unable to find that taste again even in Taipei, but I've been itching to find something close to it. I've tried a couple of places in HK but none of their beef noodle soup was up to expectations. Just when I was about to give up, I found this little gem in an alley in Quarry Bay. Lunch time is quite rushed and packed. They don't let you sit there after you have finished your food since there's a long line waiting outside. I've tried their beef noodle soup and fried chicken rice before. Both were great but I'm biased towards the beef noodle soup! The broth was rich and slightly sweet, which I like. The beef is the star in the my opinion, which is well marinated and very tender. I could't help but keep drinking the soup even after I finished my noodles. Very good value meal for around $50+ along with a free soy bean milk during lunch time!
