I used to love buffets, as they were our go-to for celebratory meals back in the day. Now, whilst I still enjoy the fun of knowing you can eat whatever and however much you want, the idea no longer excites me as much. .The lunch buffet by Renaissance is pretty enjoyable on the whole, though they definitely have a smaller variety of cooked food than other buffets. .Their 🥩 roasted lamb was commendable, moist and tender with great flavours, perfect with a dollop of mint sauce! .And of course I had

Their 🥩 roasted lamb was commendable, moist and tender with great flavours, perfect with a dollop of mint sauce! .
And of course I had to try their sushi section, the sashimi 🍣 were alright though the soba noodles were overcooked and way too soft. .
They also had oysters 🦪 of okay quality which is a pretty good deal for a lunch buffet.
.
They must have been doing some sort of Japanese theme event, as they also had a ramen station, takoyaki and Japanese red bean 🫘 cake (Imagawaki)!
.
Nonetheless, the dessert section 🍰 remains my favourite part of any buffet. They had plenty of whole cakes to choose from which is better than most hotels that only serve individually sliced cakes/mousse these days. Both the chestnut cake and matcha cake were delicious! The soufflé cheesecake and Yuzu mousse cake were decent too😍
