This place serves Pho and other Vietnamese dishes in the style of HK cart noodles - you get to choose the soup base, then build your noodles and other toppings at a set price each ($8). For dinner, I tried the Pho with flat rice noodles (base soup + noodles $34), rare beef and beef tripe. It arrived with a side of raw bean sprout, saw leaf coriander, Thai basil, lime wedge and a tiny amount of fresh cut chilli. I had to ask a couple of times for more fresh chilli to be brought to me, as I guess the staff were very busy with serving other customers. The soup was clear, clean and flavourful, and came with a modest amount of noodles and toppings. But although the bowl of noodles is not that plentiful, it is fitting for the very reasonable price, which is almost half of what you might pay for Pho at other Vietnamese restaurants.
I also tried the Spring Rolls (3 for $24). Basically, these are authentic Vietnamese-style spring rolls served with nuoc mam dipping sauce, Thai basil and lettuce for wrapping. Unfortunately, I had to ask for the dipping sauce because it didn't come when the Spring Rolls were served.
To my surprise though, the meal came with free hot drink! For a cold drink, add $3. I ordered a hot milk tea. Good HK style milk tea, and what great value.
Overall, great little local restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese food at a bargain price. If they manage to keep the prices low, at the same good quality, they are guaranteed a lot of loyal regular customers from the Jordan area.
