It was an enjoyable evening at Cucina. Will definitely come back when I crave for authentic Italian on Kowloon side. Ordered two appetizers - deep fried calamari and grilled octopus. The calamari could stay in the fryer another 3-5 mins as the crust was not fried thoroughly (color of crust looked pale). The grilled octopus and sear scallops on scented lemon potatoes and pesto were both tender and not overcooked. Plating was also nicely done. Both pastas turned out great and totally exceeded my

Both pastas turned out great and totally exceeded my expectation. The lasagna was moist, meaty and seasoned right. The pasta between layers of meat stayed intact and was not mushy. Could have a bit more Parmesan and mozzarella if you ask me.
The black truffle fettuccine with stewed beef was equally good. The truffle had a good fragrance to it - freshly grated !! The pasta was al dente. The stew beef was tasty and there was enough sauce to cover the pasta. I gave it a sprinkle of crushed red chili pepper to get an extra kick.
Ordered a side dish of cauliflower. Generous portion of bechamel sauce and Parmesan cheese to go with it. And it was of the right consistency - not too thick.
Service - attentive but not intrusive
Ambience - absolutely love the view of the harbor and the concrete landscape. And there is decent space between tables which is a luxury not HK !
