After since I purchased the Entertainer App, I'm always excited to look for restaurants on the App to visit. FoFo by el Willy was one of them, and I had a brunch with a friend yesterday. I made a reservation on Chope and requested to reserve the table by the window. I arrived on time and the table was ready. However the view was towards the buildings in Central, whereas the other side of the restaurant has a mountain view which was so much nicer! I would definitely add that onto my table request

The brunch set for one person costs $386 including one starter, two tapas, one main, one dessert, with coffee or tea. We ordered two sets to share.

Duo of oysters with chili granita and lime

The oysters tasted creamy and delicious. When it was served, I could not see the chili granita, probably it was melted. There wasn't much taste of the chili either. Overall it was a good starter.
Iberico ham and cold cuts with tomato bread

The iberico ham and cold cuts with cheese and tomato bread tasted fabulous. The combination was so match and I wish there were more tomato bread to pair with the ham!

Scallop ceviche with avacado and crispy shallots

I'm not a fan of shallots and avacado but my friend is. According to her, the taste of avacado was not so strong, and the scallop was slightly thinner and looked a bit darker than what we have usually. I tasted a bit and I agreed.
King crab salad with wasabi mayonnaise

Iberico ham croquettes

There was cheese inside the croquettes and it surprised us when we made the cut. It tasted great, crunchy on the outside and soft inside.
Slow cooked egg with ham

There were some fried shredded potato under the slow cook egg and the ham. I think the shredded potato was a little bit over-fried which caused the bitterness. Besides, we ordered too many dishes with ham and the saltiness of the ham was too much for us.

The seafood and chicken paella looked colourful and was huge despite its for two people. Seafood was fresh. The sauce on top was very garlicky and salty, and we just left it there.The rice was cooked well, and it would be better if it was less seasoned.

I think I enjoyed the desserts the most! Catalan cream foam tasted really good. The churros were nice, but could be more crispier on the outside. Icecream with vanilla seeds was the best. How can it be wrong with chocolate sauce, vanilla icecream and churros?
We ordered coffee after desserts, unfortunately they were below average. The first sip of coffee was all foam and the coffee beans they used didn't seem fresh to me.
I had the "buy one get one free" offer on Entertainer and the bill was $441 after discount.
Overall, the food quality was good given the price was very reasonable. The environment was relaxing. The staff at FoFo didn't seem friendly though. Overall, if you fancy tapas and a decent brunch, FoFo by el Willy is one of the restaurants on the list!
