Much to our surprise we discovered Tsueng Kwan O has a beautiful waterfront area. There were a lot of residents jogging and taking their pets for a walk. It was here we also discovered a number of eateries. One of them being Jomo Kitchen & Health Hub. Jomo is a popular cafe in the Western District and it appears they have branched out here combined with a fitness center.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. You order and pay at the cashier where they will bring the food to you. They had the usual cafe style dishes like pasta and salads. But I was here for their infamous cakes.
I started with a piccolo latte ($32) as I wanted something a bit smaller but a bit more strong. This was ok. Latte art was pretty but the beans were a bit on the bitter side.
But I was here for cake so boyfriend and I shared two. The first was Matcha Roll Cake ($48). I have no idea why they purposely pressed it down to squirt out the cream. I know it's trending on social media but I prefer my roll cakes in it's original form. But the cake was rather good. Very moist and delicious. The cream had a strong matcha taste as well.
The second cake was the Yuzu Chiffon Cake ($52). It was very fluffy and light with a bit of yuzu bits. The cream wasn't really flavored so it was a bit bland. But over all quite a good cake.
Cakes were delicious. The place is spacious and with a great view of the ocean. Would probably be back for a relaxing break.
