And let me tell you ... it's pretty hard in Hong Kong!

I heard about Just Scramble when Green Common had a lot of promotional advertisement on it. Just Scramble is product from American company, Just, that has come up with a product that is a  substitute for scrambled egg.  By using mung bean, the product comes out looking  like scrambled egg when cooked. Curious, I went to Green Common to give it a try. They don't sell the product in their grocery section but they do offer hot meals using this product. They offer four meals: French toast, eggs on toast, all day breakfast and teriyaki bowl.

I ordered the Honkie which is basically vegan eggs  and Beyond meat on toast. $55 but if as I was there on a weekday before 6 PM, you get a $5 discount on all items on their menu. This also came with a side of fries that were lightly salted and super crispy. When it arrived, it smelled fantastic. Like freshly scrambled eggs. There was a thick slice of whole wheat toast. The vegan eggs really did taste like eggs. It had the same texture. It had the same egg-like taste. It was a bit on dry side and I wonder if it was overcooked? Or was it supposed to be like this? I think back to how my usual eggs with char siu and it is a bit more wet. But other than that, it was pretty good. Portions was huge as well. It seemed like I was eating this forever.

Not too bad. I would order this again. Probably try the all day breakfast. Hopefully that won't be as dry? What I do want to know is why they don't sell this in their grocery section? I'd love to use this at home and make something.
