食評 (3)
銅鑼灣的小綠洲;提供家庭式便當及定食;日本米及熟食質素不錯。晚市亦有串燒供應。環境舒適,服務好,可以一試。A little oasis in CWB.Decent Japanese lunch sets with quality Japanese rice.Soups were a bit unorthodox; Most cooked food were good;Friendly and polite service;Worth a try.Nanami:This is a small shop tucked in a corner inside CWB Plaza 1. Just 7-8 tables with leather sofas and chairs. Pretty quiet and cozy.Menu:The menu was comprehensive which included a lot of bento sets and other types of don sets. They also have curry rice sets available. In addition, they have some a la carté items such as their "signature roast chicken (original/spicy)", TonKatsu and many other cooked food. Flower set:My wife ordered a "Hana" bento set:With Saba , grilled chicken, egg rolls, fish cake...etcThe quality of the Japanese rice was very good. The grilled Saba had a very homemade feel to it as well. The egg wasn't spectacular but was still decent with strong dashi taste.According to my wife, the fish cake had a very "nostalgic" feel to it.The fried oyster was a little bit oily but the oyster itself was relatively fresh and flavourful. The Bamboo with konbu included in the set was very good. Bamboo shoots were very sweet. Excellent. Soup: Wife's taste like Tonkotsu soup in some instant ramen diluted with water and with onions added. She found it rather strange.Σ(゚д゚lll)It's remotely similar to the soup at Moci Café......Σ(゚д゚lll)Otherwise, she was very happy with her bento set.Dons:I ordered a don set. Not being sure about the quality of their sashimi, I opted for something safe: tofu with egg and crab meat sauce, and maguro ochatsuke (soup in a tea/broth mixture with nori and tuna as toppings). My maguro ochatsuke was not bad. The dashi was slightly too rich for my taste but no complaints. It was good after mixing in the (toothpaste style) wasabi and nori. The few pieces of maguro were not bad. I've had better ochatsuke elsewhere but this was decent - much better than those at "the Yu" (too bland) and at "Daikuya" (bad quality rice and too little soup). Adding more green tea should improve the taste significantly. Again, the quality of the rice was good. This was finished in no time. The tofu was smooth. The crabmeat and egg sauce were fairly rich and reminded me somewhat of a tenshinhan. The rice was just as good. Appetizing. The udon that came with the set was pretty good. I don't suppose it's handmade but the quality was fine. Better than those at Jika Udon. The soup however, tasted just like the "Cup-a-Soup" chicken cream soup (without the croutons)! Σ(゚д゚lll) The appetizers, namely the pickled cucumber, bamboo shoots and turnips with dried beancurd were all good. The soup was a bit strange though. It wasn't miso soup. It had sweet corn and konbu in it. Slightly different from my wife's. my wife's was more saline but mine was more sweet. Too unorthodox for my taste.(<_<)Again, other than the soup, I was happy with the set. Conclusion:Very good service by the efficient waitress and the Japanese couple. This was a pretty comfortable oasis in CWB. I will not rule out another visit at night as they seems to have a decent drink list and a reasonable amount of Yakitori to choose from. HK$10 each for tea plus service. The bill came down to about HK$320 for two.Worth a try if you want a quiet lunch with quality rice sets.  繼續閱讀

We already had fun making our own personalised Japanese New Year Bento (link: here) but it’s always cool to explore around town by tasting more to know if we did it correctly. Nanami Restaurant is relatively new and only back a few months ago was struggling to find footing in the niche ramen market by being the only Kyoto styled ramen shop. It didn’t last as a business model and the Japanese lady owner swiftly converted this same space into a Japanese Eatery Wa Shouku style. And right now from 1st to the 10th of January they will be serving the Japanese New Years course 正月 御節料理 Osechi Set..Lunch Set Menus -Quite attractive especially their multiple layered Bento boxes. A viable option if you’re doing lunch in Causeway Bay area...Orange Juice for only $3.0 more.Osechi Set for $280. A Bargain -.Eggplant - 茄子のお浸しCooked then ice-bathed Eggplant served in dashi sauce and with bonito flakes. Really liked this..New Years dishes .. 祝い肴 -Including items like Kamaboko, Kazunoko, Namasu, Gobou burdock root, Kuri Kinto, Kuromame, Date-Maki, Salmon Roes, Fried Oyster, etc. . Ni-Mono - 甘煮物Stew Cooked dishes, including chicken, small sweet potatoes, mushrooms, carrots, lotus roots, etc. Really done to perfection..Salt Grilled Sea Bream - 塩焼き鯛Done very well. It’s salty but not overly so. Very well done..Ozouni Mochi & Chicken Soup - お雑煮A MUST order dish during Japanese New Years, as sticky rice mochi plays an important role whether it is sweet or savoury. This came with the right amount of mochi, chicken, red and white carrots and daikon as per tradition, spinach, etc. Sometimes it comes with mushrooms in hexagonal shape..2 Types of Rice -Red Bean Sticky Rice with Fish meat 赤飯, and a Whiter Rice with Wild Rice to emphasize on the Red & White theme.. ******************************$280 can’t buy you much these days,Although by sheer luck I found out that this Japanese New Years meal was quite a bargain plus the food was great. It is also one of the restaurant that will provide for a few more days than usual, although I still prefer it as take-away or cooked at home. But here it was home away from home. 繼續閱讀
