在銅鑼灣的Steak Bar,開宗明義主打牛扒,參考日本專門食牛扒的小店,店內餐牌走日式定食風格,所有定食均附有前菜、日式沙律和味素飯,價錢親民,以味道取勝,吸引各大「牛魔皇」成為忠心粉絲。牛扒以外,還有人氣熱賣的羊架、魚扒以至脆口小食及多款靚酒,定必令你食過番尋味!

滋味推介
吉列炸牛扒:吉列炸牛用Prime grade的牛頸脊部位來製作,經高溫脆炸後呈半生熟上枱。跟附一個塗了牛油的鐵板細爐仔,將牛肉兩邊輕輕香煎,可按個人喜好調教烹煮時間。外面鬆脆,內裡肉汁豐腴腍身。
頂級板腱牛扒(每日限量):板腱牛的油花偏重,質感嫩口似棉花狀,牛味濃郁多汁。旁邊伴有蒜鹽和燒汁佐食,面頭又有每日即炸的蒜片。

石燒薄切牛肉:一樣人氣高企,油花分佈平均,上枱同樣佐以爐仔,稍微煎香10秒左右,得咗!
羊架:唔食牛的朋友唔洗灰,仲有得揀!全熟的羊肉膻味不強,可蘸配燒汁或蒜鹽齊齊食。
香煎魚柳:魚柳配蒜蓉牛油汁和燒汁。別注醬汁跟魚柳一拼,撈飯食一流。
尚有其他特色美食如雞軟骨餃子、和風紫菜薯條、雪花芝士薯條等,同場的drink menu花款甚多,由啤酒、有汽酒、特調雞尾酒、紅白酒以及日本清酒等都有。舖仔細細,飲嘢傾計都不愁選擇!

話說有人睇到偶像嘅facebook去咗呢間Steak Bar度鋸扒之後又要跟住嚟食好西,所以肥胖兵團再次出動,原來就喺銅鑼灣俗稱拉麵街裡頭嘅其中一家小店,睇嚟平時真係睇漏眼大家認住門口呢隻有對角嘅牛就唔會嚟錯地方㗎喇。睇一睇份餐牌,呢度嘅牛set大致上都分為六款,無論厚切薄切西冷吉列都有,一起身嘅第一餐我就唔想食吉列咁熱氣,於是乎我就揀咗呢set安格斯西冷牛扒啦。安格斯西冷牛扒($258蚊):好多人都知道西冷牛扒係屬於一隻牛嘅腰脊部份,擁有較強嘅肉味同埋嫩滑嘅口感,相比起其他部位脂肪含量亦都較高,所以識揀一定揀食西冷啦。Steak Bar將呢塊牛扒煎到我要求嘅五成熟之後肉質非常有彈性又有嚼勁,有口感之餘牛肉味相當濃郁,脂肪比例均勻,連平時一向唔食肥肉嘅我今次連肥膏都一齊吞落肚,因為真係又滑又香啱啱好,一啲都唔覺得肥膩,口感非常豐富,絕對將西冷嘅美味發揮到淋漓盡致。阿肥跟風嗌嘅呢份頂級板腱牛扒($215蚊):睇餐牌上面介紹仲話係每日限量㗎!~250克嘅牛扒非常有厚度,賣相高檔精緻。阿肥怕生所以叫咗七成熟,最令人驚喜嘅地方係煎至七成之熟咬開後仍然啖啖肉汁,非常juicy,可以配搭日本蒜鹽或者日式燒汁一齊食,各有特色。板腱位係牛隻嘅肩胛位置,肉質細緻厚實,所以肉味突出,絕對可以同西冷各領風騷。阿肥杯橙汁有啲似罐裝粒粒橙嘅味道,而我叫咗杯熱嘅洋甘菊茶非常清香,為呢一餐添上完美嘅句號。 繼續閱讀

Sogo最後一天感謝祭,當然要來全力以赴衝刺,結果朋友笑說是我的放血日,買了不少,我說還好吧,有些是買給媽媽的。血拼前夕,當然去吃飽飽的。朋友之前一直想吃steak bar每日限量的頂級板腱牛扒,可是晚市時已一早售罄,今次午市來steak bar她終可一嚐頂級板腱牛扒。頂級板腱牛扒非等閒之輩,軟嫩的頂級板腱牛扒感覺跟朋友的舌頭融為一體,軟嫩到一個不行,肉汁超級甜美,猶如噴泉般不斷的在口中湧現,口腔充斥爆炸性的美味。朋友要求頂級板腱牛扒煎至五分熟,她輕易地把牛扒切開,細密紅艷的肉色,頂級到不行,光看已令人興奮,何況一口吃下之時。搭配海鹽一起食用,襯托出牛扒原有的鮮美。至於我和另一位朋友繼續熱捧吉列炸和牛扒,我們先嚐嚐沙律,沙律挺不錯的,黑醋醬汁的酸甜帶些蔬菜的爽甜,吃上一整碗保證胃口大開。冰鎮的豆腐淋上胡麻醬,胡麻香氣含蓄,隱約在舌尖打轉的芝麻顆粒,傳遞細緻的清香。豆腐綿密纖細的質感,口中慢慢化開,胡麻豆腐作為餐前小食一流。吉列炸和牛扒裹上炸粉,採用高溫快速油炸,外皮非常酥脆,裡面和牛扒保有三分熟,柔嫩無比。然後我們按照所喜歡的熟度,將吉列炸牛扒放在石鍋上以牛油香煎,我們就愛七分熟。煎好吉列和牛扒後,沾上調味醬汁,一口飯,一口牛扒,香脆的表層配上七分嬌嫩的內裡,入口鹹甜的滋味,雙重口感,最美味的吃法。和風紫菜薯條撲鼻濃厚紫菜風味,獨特的香氣迷人極致,薯條以原新鮮薯仔切條油炸,脆脆的毫不油膩,可口得大家搶著來吃,一口接一口。 繼續閱讀

去年離開舊公司時,Boss也請我去馬會食了一頓很好的晚餐,今次再見,就由我來請客,當然不能與那餐來比較。餐廳位於銅鑼灣登龍街,那裡食店雲集,人流暢旺。預先訂了位置,入內不消一會已經全店滿座。店內裝飾簡潔,可說是沒有額外的裝潢,環境不覺嘈雜,方便交談。菜色選擇不算多,經店員熱心講解,牛扒是他們的重點推介,我們就點了一客要五成熟限量供應的頂級板腱牛扒套餐($215),一客吉列炸牛扒套餐($188),另每人加了一杯澳洲Shiraz紅酒($58),還加了一客雞軟骨餃子($45)。先來了兩杯澳洲Shiraz紅酒,在舊公司工作了超過二十年,自然少不免一面喝酒一面閒話舊公司的近況。不一會菜色就逐一送到。雞軟骨餃子外面是軟身的,裡面的雞軟骨頗有嚼口,件頭也很大,是佐酒的不錯選擇。每客套餐都跟前菜的胡麻醬豆腐、沙律菜及一大碗飯。胡麻醬豆腐雖然是小小的,豆腐很滑有豆香,味道清淡得來還算不錯。沙律菜加了黑醋,佐飯也適合。白飯很大碗,珍珠米頗有嚼口,而且加了有芝麻、紫菜及鰹魚乾等飯素,足以裹腹。各自有前菜、沙律菜及飯,那兩款牛扒就可以分享。先是吉列炸牛扒,店員熱誠地幫我們煮熔那片牛油,牛扒外層沾了麵包糠,炸成吉列形式,但裡面仍是紅色,牛扒已經切好,上面放了幾片炸過的蒜片。店員的服務態度很好,他說牛扒裡面還帶點凍,教我們可以逐片放上爐面去燒,每面大約燒一分鐘,視乎自己喜歡熟的程度,燒好後可蘸些鹽或醬油來食。果然吉列牛扒外面脆口,裡面鮮嫩腍滑有肉汁,牛味香濃,淨食或佐飯兩相宜。頂級板腱牛扒是厚切的,上面也有幾片炸得很脆的蒜片。我們要五成熟,這麼厚身的板腱牛扒已經燒好了才端上來,外面是熟的顏色,但一切開來裡面果然還是紅色的。肉質腍滑鮮嫩,入口令人有滿足及享受的感覺,做得很出色。只是中間有一條很幼的筋,但原來每件都會有,幸好是很幼,而且要切斷也不難,沒有太大的阻礙。我試過蘸醬油及鹽來吃,但始終都是喜歡原味,覺得已經足夠。套餐吃完了,酒也飲完了,再聊了一會,見店內仍然是座無虛席,也就識趣地交枱離場。 繼續閱讀

On a trip to Tokyo one year, boyfriend brought me to Gyukatsu Motomura (牛かつ もと村) and my world was blown. To deep fry a steak in a thin layer of panko but yet it was not chewy. To sear it for a few seconds on a hibachi grill just for color sent my world to another planet. It was amazing and since then, I've been obsessed with gyukatsu.I found that Steak Bar served something like this so I wanted to give it a try. Originally located in Central, it later moved to Causeway Bay's Tang Lung Street. A location much closer to where I live so I came here for lunch.Menu is in English and Chinese. The come in sets that all include salad, rice and  appetizer. Along with gyukatsu, they also have regular steak, lamb and even fish.Ordering is in the form of checking off a piece of paper. Chinese on one side, English on the other side.I wanted to get the gyukatsu so I chose set D (deep fried beef cutlet) for $188. They have option of wagyu but it was for $278 but it was American wagyu and clearly not the same. So, I stuck with the regular beef. It all arrived on a try with a hot habachi grill that had a slab of butter on it. A bit different than the one I had in Tokyo where they didn't add butter. It was just a bit of oil.You get two pieces of steak. A pretty good portion size.I plopped it on the grill. The panko coating was a lot  thicker than the one I had in Japan but then that place is pretty famous. The steak was a decent quality and wasn't chewy when I ate it. It came with a tiny dish of yakiniku sauce and a bunch of salt on the other end. It was pretty good.The rice was topped with a lot of furikake. I have no idea why there was so much. Or why they added it in the first place as it detracted from tasting the steak when I had some rice. I love furikake (I have so many packs at home!) but this was clearly not needed here. That is something  I always appreciate about the Japanese. They will always server plain white rice with out fear so the focus is on the protein.There was a bit of salad. It had a bit too much salad dressing. It was literally drowning in it.The appetizer was a cube o tofu with grainy sesame sauce. Fairly forgettable.It was ok. Not the best I've ever had but it was not too bad considering the price range. My return again as I saw they have a coupon on Openrice for free ice cream. 大壽的好日子,多得太太悉心安排。儘管中間由於出現了少許非我們能控制的烏龍,因而弄得太太有些不高興,但過後還是雨過天晴,一家三口開開心心地出去吃餐好的....太太安排的地方,便是這間"牛扒吧"....事實上,我對店內提供其他牛扒的種類都不大感興趣,就只單單對一款吉列牛情有獨鐘而已....吉列牛這種食制,近幾年才開始流行。小弟有好幾趟想去位於太子那所吉列牛名店去吃,到最後還是未能得償所願。今天因緣際會在太太安排下,卻成功在別處嚐到了它的滋味....至於另外的一大一小,太太就點了同樣開始流行的flat iron steak,而小友不能多吃牛,幸好餐牌上還有唯一一款他可以揀的,便是煎魚柳了....太太知道小友愛食枝豆,專道花錢點了一碟,怎知他食了幾粒後便不吃....亳不浪費的我倆,便將之邊剝邊用來送酒及其他飲料....我和太太的牛餐,基本上是同時上桌的....那個吉列牛的賣相,的確甚引人 ---- crunchy而金黃的外皮,加上油花分佈平均,色仍呈微嫣紅的和牛扒,邊睇已在邊猛吞口水....食之前先放於爐上細烤,油脂就很輕易跑出來。放一件牛入口,外皮酥脆不太油;肉嫩脂香味濃,味的確甚佳。難怪此食制前陣子深受大眾歡迎....但相對地更令我和小友喜愛的,竟是那舖滿著飯素的白米飯。兩仔爺皆極好此物,一有了它,閒閒哋就可KO幾碗飯了....太太的FLAT IRON STEAK,相形之下就較普通了。儘管肉味較濃少許但肉質就沒那麼軟嫩,而且有少許部位帶點點筋,是為美中不足也....但最後沒料到,在水平上脫穎而出的,竟是小友的那塊煎魚柳....今天蠻走運,吃到的是一大片煎得皮香脆肉嫩且魚味足的比目魚。更畫龍點睛的一著是那檸檬牛油伴醬,酸咪咪之中滲來牛油帶來的滑香,和煎魚是極之匹配。當然,不下醬,只灑些鹽在魚肉上吃,也是美味....多謝太太,可以讓我在大日子大嗒吉列和牛.... 繼續閱讀
