新廚創意愛火花 焦點食評

人生有幾多個十年,五年亦是一個站,剛滿五歲的 Spark Bar & Restaurant,為了更新形象請了個新廚,據說師承米之蓮一星廚,傾談之下知道其實來自前 Doppio Zero 的團隊,去個這家餐廳的你可能已經想起 00 麵粉及牛骨髓,看餐牌食物,果然有她的影子! 採用金屬材料作裝潢,雖然有點的工業風,但絕非一般,例如門面的 Spark 店字,竟然在建築用的鋼鐵上刻出來,酒吧、舞台及牆身不乏貴價的金屬。 飲品餐牌以琴譜作裝飾,奏出的是 C AllStar 成名作"天梯"嗎? 我最喜歡特別,見到招牌 C AllStar 是 secret recipe 製造,不作他想,先來一杯。 C AllStar Cocktail  復活節假期,倚窗而坐,中環夜景配甜蜜雞尾酒,份覺悠閒,又係嗰句,平日辛苦上班賺錢就為了這一刻放鬆!這杯 C AllStar 是以楊桃汁炮製,星形楊桃非常配合,並不太甜,酒的濃度正常。 音樂與美食擦出新火花,大廚有創意,前菜及意麵特別吸引,今晚我們三人行,點了七款。 Bread 餐前麵包是我杯茶,注入蕃茄成份,顏色及口感不一樣,外脆內軟又溫暖,簡單得來很不錯。 Ham, Cheese & truffle Tramezzino 芝士、火腿、黑松露呢啲組合係唔會錯嘅,尤其用上煙熏黑毛豬面珠肉,明顯有肉香,再加上香脆多士,絕對沒有投訴位! Baby Beetroot Salad $198 組合富色彩且多元化,紅菜頭是自製的,甜酸味道平衡,菠菜嫩綠,合桃香脆,乳酪幼滑,芒果新鮮,味道極之香酸醒胃。 Cuttlefish 估唔到造型咁靚,柚子泡沫特色矚目,海膽非常新鮮,魷魚慢煮了四小時保持生嫩口感,還有一些三文魚子倍增卜脆口感,整體來說,鮮甜美味! Chitarra (half)  簡單美味,出色在於意麵,吃得出新鮮製造,而且掛汁力強,盡吸蟹肉海鮮汁的精華,口感豐富濃郁。 Lamachine Carbonara 造型吸睛,配上蝸牛形狀的意粉真是個好主意! 半熟雞蛋、海膽、再加上卡邦尼醬汁的忌廉,全部都是豐腴口感的代表,每一口皆滋味無窮,必吃之選! Slow-cooked Iberico Pork  主菜果然份量足,慢煮黑毛豬豬扒肉質鬆軟,食落有些似叉燒,亦鹹亦甜,配新鮮蘋果片匹配,酵素有助激活肉質,伴菜的南瓜蓉亦非常甜美好吃,有水準。 Poached Korean Pear  最後焦糖雪糕有心思,創意豐富組合,Moscato 酒啫喱、雞蛋脆脆及新鮮梨子做出不同口感形態,還要加上點點意大利黑醋汁,又真擦出愛火花,一吃戀上! 平日Live Band只在星期五晚10點,可能因為是復活節假期,今晚星期六九點有特別場,有意外收穫真開心,不少客人是特意來聽歌的,餐廳幾乎全滿座,幸好早到。 Spark Bar & Restaurant 有 C AllStar 這位股東,確得到不少宣傳效果,不過最重要的是配合 Live Band 及美食,食物造型漂亮,意麵非常出色,值得重臨! 繼續閱讀

LKF西餐之選 焦點食評

終於迎來期待已久的Friday, 是夜便相約了朋友一起來到位於LKF的Spark Bar吃一頓豐富的西餐。聽説這裏是由C AllStar開的,不知怎的突然覺得很有興致也很期待這裏的食物質素會是怎樣。這裏的酒精飲品款式很多,其中cocktail的名字都是歌名,非常特別。點好食物後,先來了一份餐包。這裏的麵包質素不錯,麵包很鬆軟也很香,特別適合配橄欖油和果仁一起吃。我們點的appetizer就是這個Portobello Mushroom stuffed with escargots and melting cheese。一共有兩件大大的蘑菇,蘑菇内都釀滿了田螺肉和熱熔芝士。除了有田螺的鮮甜味道之外,還有濃烈的蘑菇香氣和芝士的鹹香,蘑菇還很juicy,很好吃的一個小食。吃完蘑菇之後,便開始吃我們點的main course。第一個是Duck Confit with Port Wine Cherry Sauce。這份油鴨脾外脆内嫩,肉味突出,脂肪比例剛剛好,鴨肉不會太乾身。配上cherry sauce,味道酸甜,能夠解一下鴨脾的油膩,而且味道配搭很好。旁邊的焗薯也很軟很香,整體是一道不錯的course。第二道是Broiled Lobster Risotto with its own shell。光是上桌時看到外表已經教人食指大動,龍蝦汁意大利飯釀到原隻波士頓龍蝦裏,太吸引了。厨師將波士頓龍蝦拆肉,然後用龍蝦肉做成了lobster risotto, risotto有啖啖爽口的龍蝦肉,龍蝦味道非常突出。而且這裏的risotto口感硬硬的,是我偏好的texture。十分滿意的一道course。最後我們點了一份朱古力心太軟。心太軟外脆内軟,流心度十足,可是味道較爲甜膩,如果是采用黑朱古力會更加好。整體來説,我和朋友都很滿意這一餐,環境也很好很舒適,很適合過來好好放鬆一下。 繼續閱讀

hidden gem in LKF 焦點食評

Lan Kwai Fong is not only a place for drinks. Recommended by my friend, we found this hidden gem in Central—Spark Bar & Restaurant. Spark provides alcohol of course. But to my surprise, their food was of high standard too. The Alaskan Crab Meat, Avocado and Mango Salad was one of my favorites. The creamy avocado, sour-sweet mango together with the fresh Alaskan crab meat added together to give a perfect combination. Alaskan meat was generous in portion so I can taste the freshness of sea water in every bite. I’m also an avocado lover so everything was my cup of tea. Broiled lobster risotto was the signature of Spark Bar & Restaurant. Risotto was stuffed inside a broiled boston lobster and the lobster meat was cut into pieces and put on top. Risotto was a bit overcooked. I personally prefer al-dente texture with a little bit chewy. But the risotto was rich of sea water flavor. Together with the fresh lobster meat, it was still a nice dish to try.  繼續閱讀

Spark Bar & Restaurant was a really nice place to catch up with friends and have a fine dinner and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. It’s located in Lan Kwai Fong area but it’s not noisy at all. It was a romantic restaurant with light music playing so it’s nice to go with lovers or close friends. Very soon after we sat down, we were served with a warm bread basket.  Simply dipping the warm bread onto the olive oil was heavenly and I really appreciate that the restaurant had also tried their best to work on every detail.We ordered the Portobello with Escargots ($128) as starter. As soon as the dish was brought to our table, I could already smell the mushroom from far. The taste was equally amazing. The Portobello was juicy and was stuffed with savory escargots and melting cheese. Simple but perfect combination. For main course, I ordered slow roasted suckling pig ($328). It was also strongly recommended. The pig was crispy outside with a layer of meat and a layer of fat underneath. It was cooked so perfectly that the meat was tender and succulent but not dry at all.  The restaurant provided various special cocktails and mocktails as well.(funny names of the drinks as they're all classic Hong Kong songs!)I like the one called “C Allstar”, which was also the signature mocktail in the restaurant.The recipe was kept secret but I guess they must have pineapple. “C Allstar” was sweet and sour, so even girls who are not a big alcohol drinker will still like it. 繼續閱讀

Located on the fourth floor of LKF along the Wyndham Street, its right next to the heart of Lan Kwai Fong. There's a stage where live music performance is on every weekend. The restaurant is owned by the renowned band "C AllStar", no wonder the cocktails are named as song names. Fresh soft bread comes with the olive oil and some mixture of seaweed, sesame and spice. We dipped the bread into olive oil and followed by the spice. The little crispy texture mixed with the softness made us crave for another bite.Scallop Carpaccio with Citrus Dressing $188The scallop was fresh and soft, and nicely marinated. Mixing with apple juice, lime, chives, salt and olive, it renders an incredible appetiser. It's the simple starter with sophistication. Linguine Carbonara $128 The al dente flat slices of pasta immersed in a sauce of creamy and milky sauce. A few pieces of parma ham enriched the flavour. It's always the Italian's favourite.It's definitely a nice place to chill and hangout with friends over dinner or drinks. 繼續閱讀
