Remind everyone who's Asian and want to get food from here. We came here at happy hour and we asked for mocktails because my sister has allergy and couldn't take alcohol and the waiter was really rude! The jerk chicken and ribs are still very good but seriously I have been to this restaurant quite a few times, and the waiters and waitresses have been really nice but this time they are literally really really bad. They have this special quiz on Monday and the lady said to the other table and said we will go soon in front of us when we still haven't finished our food. She didn't ask me and moved my bag to the hook. And before I left, the waiter dropped his knife on my white top! Worst night! 繼續閱讀

So I've never had Jamaican food, nor Caribbean cuisine, so as a first taste, i was pretty happy. Let's break it down. Ordered: Jamrock jerk chicken w/grilled corn & jammin potato salad. Good: the food was tasty and I love the heat & spices in the food. The chicken was yummy, but a tad cold. It was precooked, which I didn't appreciate. Bad: service was not great. We didn't drink alcohol so they essentially ignored us. The food was quick, but they wanted us out for the next round of customers. No one asked us how we were doing or refilled our waters. Ugly: we sat in the 2 table from the front, and we were smoked out by a large table of cigarette smokers. Pro tip 1: sit inside. It's not under the speakers and you want inhale smoke all night Pro tip 2: buy and use the entertainer app here. Pro tip 3: 2for1 before 7pm. 繼續閱讀

I am sure the people who gave great reviews for this place are notorious drinkers. The food here...sucks. The service here, sucks even more.I was SO excited when I learned that there's finally a Caribbean joint in Hong Kong. We tried to come here on a weekend night, the music was SO loud that you cannot talk to your company even you tried to scream. But I was so determined to try it so we went again during a weekday night. Pretty quiet there. Only 2 people were there (not sure if they work there or not). My bf wanted to make sure they are still open so he went in and ask if they still serve food. He had the most unwelcome greeting even encountered in our whole trip in Hong Kong. Whatever. I really wanna tried the food and they were still serving it. When we were about to seat ourselves, this woman who we thought was a customer came and asked if we came for drinks. We said we wanted to eat. She said let me check if we are still serving food. Huh? Somebody just told me you were. Anyway, I let her check but I didn't know what was the point. Because she never came back and update us.Onto the food. There's NOTHING Caribbean about the food. I am totally qualified to make this comment. I make Caribbean food quite often. I even go to a ethnic store and buy ingredients to make my own jerk sauce. If you never have beef patty before, the beef patty taste ok. But it's not like Jamaican beef patty. The flour is not the crispy ones that you would have in an authentic Jamaican joint. But I know a lot of Westernized place make it this way. So I guess is ok. I love Callaloo so I ordered the Callaloo and Cassava Chips. It was a nightmare. I can't even describe how bad the Callaloo taste. We also had the Carrot Cake. The flour was not coherent at all so when you slice it, it all fell apart. The service throughout was bad. When I asked about the items in the menu. The waiter seems like he knows nothing about it and tried to make shxx up. It was only us in the restaurant/bar, but the only waiter there was busy checking on the bartender and the owner's conversation and it took us awhile to get his attention a couple of times.I looked up this place some more afterwards. It occurs to me that one of the bartenders that night was one of the owners. It's pretty disappointing that the whole time we were there, we felt very unwelcomed. Nobody came to check on us. Everybody who were there did not look happy working there. Well, it was Monday, I guess...Do not come here if you want real Jamaican food. Come here if you want some drinks and not converse with anybody. 繼續閱讀

Rummin’ Tings is brought to us by Rohit and Harsh Roopchand, the brothers behind the super cool Fatty Crab restaurant and Manoj and Manesh Chellaram, the brothers behind the social networking/ lifestyle platform: The Edge.Rummin’ Tings a Caribbean inspired bar and restaurant is every bit as cool as its predecessor. The vibe is fun, loud and super chill. The food menu is very straight forward, consisting of “Lil’ Tings” and “Tings”, all designed for sharing.Spinach artichoke dip and crispy deep fried chips. I loveeeeeeeeed this starter. That spinach artichoke dip was so flavourful and hearty.Sticky Island Ribs!!!! I LOVE ribs and these babies were all super tender, juicy and practically fell off the bone! So far- so GOOD. I heard hit or miss about the dishes here but so far everything has been absolutely delicious.A basket of Jamaican beef patties. The pastry was perfectly flaky enveloping a packed full of spicy beef which goes terrifically well with the tangy hot sauce!Baked mac and cheese! Look at that cheeeeeese- I wished it was a bit more moist though! Seriously, this place has all my favourite comfort foods. The jerk chicken was awesome. I loved the grilled charcoal taste and spicy kick- it was packed with so much flavour. The chicken legs were a bit small- if only they had a bit more meat! Would’ve been perfect.I love me some cornbread! This was superb. Ragga Muffins as Rummin’ Tings calls them- were awesome. There was a perfect balance between sweet and savoury, every crumb was scrumptious!! I could have ordered another basket all to myself. Loved the dipping sauce too. Definitely a must try.Clams were pretty good but nothing spectacular- I would have to say this was my least favourite of the bunch.Carrot cake for dessert. Lovely multiple layers of sweet, moist, mildly spiced cake that are flecked with carrots, nuts and pecans. YUM!Fun girls night! I’ll be back for some of the returning goodies as well as the other Rummin’ Tings dishes! 繼續閱讀

Felt like Carribean food but Sai Kung was too troublesome so came here for it.Had the following.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Mac and Cheese:Tasteless cheese and I didn't like the ribbed macaroni.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Veggie patties:These were amazing filled with spinach and okra, after adding chili sauce to it, they tasted much better.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★dutty doubles:This was quite nice but hard to eat because the chick pea curry was runny.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★cook up stew:The ox tail was soft but there were too many brittle bones in it and the sauce was too sweet and tasted like Chinese style Western oxtail. The rice was disappointing because it was literally rice with kidney beans. Other places put herbs in the rice and peas.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎The bill: $2xxService: goodService charge: noYummy factor: okGlass of water provided: NoEnglish Menu: YesAir Conditioning: YesMusic Levels: pumping!◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎ 繼續閱讀
