好鬼回味放大假嘅時光!好似上月尾個禮拜日同老婆大人去咗紅磡一間叫嘉里的新酒店食咗過好鬼死嘆嘅早午餐,真係回味到今日!早午餐喺呢間Red Sugar道食,同一層另外有間紅糖係中菜咪攪錯啊!一行入餐廳一個字型!二個字舒服,落地大玻璃後有個擁藍天白雲、無敵海景嘅户外區,秋涼嚟食嘢飲嘢都正爆!淨係星期日先有得食仲要做到7月尾咋!呢餐可以由中午12時食到下午3時啱晒我呢個慢勢魔王,有豐富自助頭盤仲有甜品,每人可揀一款精美主菜$638/位,已包無限添飲Veuve Clicquot香檳、紅、白餐酒、果汁和汽水,另外$538/位則只包無限添飲果汁和汽水,酒鬼如我梗係乖乖比選$638啦!同埋餐廳只招待11歲以上孩童更啱我心水!早午餐有自助好多款勁好味嘅芝士、精彩嘅凍肉而且質素都好高班,貴氣嘅有魚子醬炮製的小,清新嘅多款口味嘅三文魚,健康沙律都係任食唔嬲係咪爽死先! 甜品款式唔算好多不過好食除咗多款特色甜品、蛋糕,連分子雪糕都有得食使唔使咁潮啊! 我最關心梗係有乜酒飲,果汁、Bellini呢D普通嘢當然有,最特別可以自製Bloody Mary,等我調杯比老婆大人嘆吓先!而我嘅目標梗係無限喪飲Veuve Clicquot香檳,飲得佢兩、三枝已經回本有特啦!另外仲有麵包同意大利雜菜湯,好似我咁大食都冇有怕!先整碟凍肉享受吓先!以為24個iberico Ham冇得輸?點知嗰件鵝肝醬凍批仲神好味到痴黐線!法國魚子醬蟹肉撻須然矜貴!不過我更鍾意軟滑嘅柚子帶子,我都唔記得食咗幾多碟!芝士真係不之得了Blue Cheese嗰朕味真係好襯香檳,不過難為了老婆大人!食完頭盤到我哋嘅主菜,老婆大人要咗Atlantic Salmon, Seared with Miso,Baby Vegetables and Purple Potato,佢話三文魚皮煎得好香脆,魚肉嫩滑又多汁,嗰D紫薯蓉又香又滑美妙之極!而我就揀咗Roasted Veal Shank,Green Asparagus,and Potato Puree,的份量大到我個心都離一離!牛仔膝好夠淋,牛味亦強,側邊嘅薯蓉好鬼香滑正正!最後食杯分子雪糕又已經三點喇,帶住小小醉意同老婆大人拍住拖返屋企扮下浪漫! 繼續閱讀

連續多日天氣不穩、時晴時雨,就是上週日天氣大好,藍天白雲映照清朗天空,兩口子乘機在 Red Sugar 享受了一頓絕美海景的醉人 Sunday Brunch! Red Sugar 的 Sunday Brunch 每逢星期日推出,供應時間為中午12時至下午3時,內容包括頭盤及甜品 buffet 任吃,以及每人自選精美主菜,收費$638/位(包無限添飲 Veuve Clicquot 香檳及其他酒類)或$538/位(無限添飲果汁及汽水),相差只$100,當然選任飲香檳更著數! 先此聲明,這裡與坊間很多適合家庭客的酒店 Sunday Brunch 完全不同;首先,這裡是不准11歲以下的小孩內進的,另外這裡的酒精選擇特別豐富,甚至特設自製 Bloody Mary 服務,食客可隨個人喜好調製專屬自己的飲品,十分有趣! 隨意的不順序由甜品開始介紹:除了 Grapefruit Sorbet & Cranberry Rum Foam 分子雪糕,檯上多款美味甜點,包括輕怡甜美軟滑的 Caramel Tiramisu、像 HD 雪糕批及金莎結合的 Maker's Mark Chocolate Delice,又紅又綠、色彩迷人的 Red Velvet Pistachio Berry,三款都很好吃! 還有酸爽清新的 Super Lemon Meringue Pop、帶幽幽茶香的 Earl Grey Mango Cheesecake、小巧美味的 Paris-Brest,以及富果香清新的 Coconut Raspberry Jar,根本全部選擇都很吸引! 最後還有 Selection of Cocktail Chocolate Bonbon,連朱古力也富有不同的酒香,所以不許小朋友進場有理! 轉角的長檯上則是鹹食選擇,並沒有常見的無甚味道急凍海鮮,而是更精緻的法國魚子醬蟹肉撻、Scallop Ceviche (柑橘漬帶子),勁好味的自家製鵝肝醬等,絕對是貴精不貴多! 沙律吧的羅馬生菜、配料非常新鮮,讓我忍不住吃了兩大碟高質凱撒沙律;油潤閃亮的煙三文魚也豐腴美味,最愛紅菜頭醃的口味,又是忍不住要 encore! 之後又有波士頓龍蝦展通粉沙律、紫紅迷人兼香甜美味的紅菜頭沙律,以及用上大量橙、西柚及菠蘿等水果製作的鮮果大蝦沙律,三款都是美味推介之選! Red Sugar 的芝士選擇非常多,我當然沒理常見的 Brie、Emmental、Cheddar,而是專心向珍罕美味的 Reblochon、Comte、Mimolette 甚至是 Blue Cheese 進攻,建議點上 Truffle honey,效果超美妙動人! 大概是為了襯酒,除了芝士、場內凍肉選擇也特別多,Mortadella、iberico Ham 24 months、St. Daniel Ham、Salami、Air Dried Beef,花款眾多,但最美味是隱身其中的自家製鵝肝醬凍批,柔滑芳醇超好吃,吃了兩件才滿足收手! 最後還有不錯的麵包、法包、牛油及是日餐湯---意大利雜菜湯,buffet 食物大致介紹完畢。飲品則有橙汁、西柚汁、汽水 ($538收費),還有香檳、不同口味 Bellini 以及 Aperol Spritz 可以任飲 ($638收費),不禁想起澳洲悉尼 Blu Bar 的 High Tea Buffet,同樣都是靚景瘋狂暢飲!XD 繼美食後,也帶大家感受一下嘉里酒店 Urban Resort 美景吧:藍天碧海、都會高樓,與園林美景竟可如此渾然天成,不怕曬的,絕對可以全程坐在室外,好好享受陽光下的絕美景致! 不過怕曬又怕熱的我們,拍照後還是躲回舒適冷氣室內慢慢嘆~香港地提供 Free Flow Champagne Sunday Brunch 的地方不少,但真的做到密密添酒的並不多,而這裡是一旦只剩2/3杯酒,侍者就會殷勤前來添酒,唯恐大家喝不夠! 老公要先處理兩兄妹(真感謝他!)因而遲來,我先與車媽媽、車爸爸高興杯碰杯,Cheers!一來先吃了美味沙律後,再來一碟感動味蕾的靚芝士、魚子醬蟹肉撻及鵝肝醬,在酒精影響下竟有半飽... 是時間停下來休息一會~ 等老公也來到,再無後顧之憂,又可以開懷暢飲!這次取了餐湯、法包、更多沙律、刺身及火腿,吃完也差不多要迎戰主菜了~ 用上迎戰兩字不是誇張,因為這裡的主菜賣相精緻得來,份量卻很足,估計大部分女士都未必可以完成... 趁著天氣大好,我們決定搬到室外拍照,讓大家看清楚每款主菜真身吧~ 是 Atlantic Salmon, Seared with Miso, Baby Vegetables and Purple Potato;帶亞洲風味的三文魚脆皮之下,中間魚肉呈七成熟,嫩滑好吃,但更迷人是伴碟的紫薯,好香又好味道! 接著是超巨型的 Roasted Veal Shank,Green Asparagus, and Potato Puree,牛仔膝肉質算嫩、味道不差,但這份量女士可能完成嗎?胃口小一點的男士也未必可以KO呢... 但吃不完牛肉,也別錯過配菜的薯泥,很香又滑,非常美味的。 其實多款主菜中,最合我心是 Pan-fried Duck leg confit, Roasted Potatoes, and Braised Red Cabbage,皮脆肉香的鴨腿,襯酒非常一流,吃完非常的滿足! 最後也有照顧素食者的 Vegetarian Lasagne, Tomato Coulis, and Cherry Tomato Confit,成品賣相美、層次豐富,但千層麵少了芝士總是若有所欠,我這芝士迷還是不能茹素! 嘆完美景美酒美食,最後來到甜品環節。Kerry 的甜品及朱古力從來都超好吃,Red Sugar 也不例外,無論是否甜魔,都務必留肚品嚐甜點啊! 真的太飽,可以先來一杯酸甜開胃的分子雪糕,吃完又會開胃了~最後 HSBC 簽帳會有85折,但 Sunday Brunch 暫定供應至7月31日,有食趁快,Cheers! 繼續閱讀

Red Sugar (紅糖) at Kerry Hotel is one of the few Chinese restaurants on my short list which I failed to check off earlier this year. Instead of waiting for an upcoming occasion, I decided to bring mom and Jelloman there for a casual lunch this Saturday afternoon.Located on the waterfront of Hung Hom (formerly the Hunghom Pier), Kerry Hotel boasts a stunning harbour view which can be seen right here from Red Sugar.Talented and well-traveled Ken Yu (余偉經) is the hotel's opening Executive Chinese chef. Last time I heard of Chef Yu, he was still holding the same position at YEN Chinese Restaurant at W Taipei. Prior to joining W Taipei, he cut his teeth at Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira Hotel, Hyatt Regency in Tsim Sha Tsui, The Venetian Macao and Michelin starred Lei Garden. With close to 30 years of experience in the kitchen, he's known for his innovative take on Cantonese cuisine and is a master in the art of plating.With Chef Yu's pedigree, I wasn't a bit surprised to find all these interesting dim sums and snacks on the food menu.Pan-fried rice rolls with homemade XO sauce and soy (XO醬豉油皇炒腸粉) ($68) - Fairly tasty but surprisingly not as spicy as I thought it would be. A decent start (but I certainly won't mind more XO sauce!) (Grade: 5.5/10).Hung Tong shrimp dumplings (紅糖蝦餃皇) ($75) - Very nice wrapper and the shrimps were pretty tasty. A little bigger than the usual bite size but perfectly fine with me (Grade: 7/10).Steamed wild mushroom dumplings with black truffle (松露野菌餃) ($68) - Came with a ultra thin wrapper made with what I thought was parsley (or celery). That was a nice match with the diced wild mushrooms. The black truffle was spot on (Grade: 7/10).Steamed red rice rolls with crispy prawns (脆蝦紅米腸粉) ($68) - Along with the steamed wild mushroom dumplings, my early favorites from this early dim sum lunch. The crispy prawns added some nice texture to the delicious rice rolls and the red rice provided pleasant nutty flavor with an earthy tone. Very nice (Grade: 8/10).Steamed pork belly buns (蝴蝶燒腩卷) ($68) - An interesting Taiwanese twist in the dim sum menu. Why am I not surprised (with Chef Yu's background)?"Butterfly pork bun roll" is just a fancy name for a Taiwanese-style gua bao (割包). I thought the buns were pretty nice and pillowy. My little nugget loves it (Grade: 5/10).Deep-fried turnip cake with mashed shrimp (百花釀蘿蔔糕) ($68) - Fried turnip cake stuffed full of minced shrimp in the middle. I thought the portion was a little small but I just couldn't stop eating them. And you just don't see this on the dim sum menu everyday (and everywhere) (Grade: 7.5/10)!Deep-fried roasted goose and mushrooms puff (一品燒鵝酥) ($75) - Very cute puff in the shape of a swan with diced roasted goose and mushroom filling. I like the pastry which was really flaky working well with the flavorful filling (Grade: 6/10).Diced abalone and chicken puff (鮑魚雞粒酥) ($75) - The highlight of the meal! This came with a whole braised abalone on top. The abalone was definitely not bad; but the puff a bit powdery for me (Grade: 6/10).Chilled mango sago cream with pomelo (楊枝甘露) ($68) - Everyone opted for dessert instead of more dim sum, rice or noodle and who could blame them. On a hot summer day like this, I thought this chilled mango sago cream with pomelo would be the perfect thirst quencher. It's not as perfect as the one served at Summer Palace but I like the balance of bitterness and sweetness (Grade: 7/10). Chilled almond jelly (錦鯉杏汁糕) ($68) - A dessert picked for me and my little one. He loves anything fish shaped and I love anything with rich almond flavor (Grade: 6.5/10).This meal was much better than the one we had at YEN Chinese Restaurant at W Taipei (which was our last experience with Chef Yu's dim sum). Not to be overlooked were the attentive service and amazing harbour view. Now, I am seriously thinking about coming back soon for their dinner menu. 繼續閱讀

今日同左3個酒肉buddies 去左近排大熱的Kerry Hotel Weekend Brunch, 見到好多地方介紹我地4個終於約左時間去試一試. 去到既時候其實已經有8成以上Full, 大部分都係外國人只有少部分既香港Local... 店員即刻就俾個Menu我地同埋送上4杯champagne. 我地以為係welcome drinks 點知望清楚個 menu wow... 原來個brunch 係包埋free flow champagne嫁!!  店員介紹左個weekend brunch menu後, 我地落左我地想食既main 當然要即刻make a toast 啦! 見到店員不停幫我地refill, 一d 都唔吝嗇champagne仲要係幾好既brand黎嫁我既habit就係一開始當然就係去食Salad.呢度係有專人幫你mix 你想要既材料同埋Sauce既, 我好curious 點解salad會有香水放響旁邊嫁呢? 係Decoration 定係...? 廚師mix好salad後同我講我可以自己加D olive oil 或者意大利黑醋. 好奇心驅使下我就加左醋. 好特別呀真係好似香水咁吱出黎嫁, 真係好大鄉里呀. 後尾我番埋位google下先發現原來係出自法國一個好出名的城堡嫁.吱左個一下當堂覺得好貴族呀食完Salad 我就去左食唔同既Cheese, 都有成10種有多... 因為我一向都唔係cheese lover 所以我都係食左幾款, 食落一D都唔so , 仲要好香濃.呢一個係令到我走唔到既section,細細碟既海鮮實在只係睇佢既plating 同presentation 已經太吸引. 龍蝦, 帶子, 魚子醬. 鴨肝同埋蟹肉批等等. 好既地方係細細既一碟仔行多幾轉食多幾轉唔覺唔覺都可以食到好多. 龍蝦肉粒粒爽口仲食到小小既海水味, 帶子嫩滑. 鴨肝醬一入口真係心中爆粗實在太好味啦... 點可以離開得到呢個section.跟住我就去左食麵包同飲左個松露蘑菇湯, 麵包全部都係而家好流行既歐包. 有選擇左有poppy seeds 既歐包. 番埋位既時候包心係軟而皮係脆, 沾左湯就更正!驚喜位呢個包原來係酸種歐包食落小小微微帶酸不過脆邊加poppy seeds 有帶點咸香, 真係麵包既最高境界呀.原來除左Free Flow champagne 仲有其他drinks 都係任我地飲. 我既搵食buddy 即刻衝左去整左個DIY Bloody Mary. 自己調教番自己既專屬口味... 窩心! 我就懶叫左另一杯Guava Mango Bellini.  呢D colour 響一個懶洋洋既weekend brunch 再加埋一個勁靚既海景真係諗唔到點樣可以更RELAX!!食左咁耐終於都到左食main, 我地4個人叫左2個豬1個魚1個羊其實我已經好飽不過見到呢個咁靚既presenation, who can say no? 呢個西班牙有骨黑毛豬扒, 煮得剛剛好肉質好moist, 一啖咬落去有肉汁爆出, 香濃的豬味滲出. 真係一件都唔係好夠食呀.之後就係呢個燒羊腿, 羊一向都唔係我朋友不過見到個樣又真係好靚我都俾俾面食左一小啖,肉質係好鮮嫩個陣羊So味真係好狠呀!! 係好味不過我食左2啖已經頂唔住. 不過呢個汁係做到好配合到個羊,因為個汁香濃得黎又唔會失左個羊味. 呢個seabass絕對係今日highlight, 真心未食話一個咁好食既魚, 面面做到好crispy香脆魚肉係好似食緊一片鱈魚咁滑. 只係小小鹽的調味唔需要好多汁, 下面既配菜加埋上面舊魚砌成一個小花園真係色香味樣樣都齊晒呀填飽左一個胃又點可以唔照顧埋我另一個胃呢. 呢個咁colourful 又多選擇的甜品section我又點會放過. 樣樣都攞D自己幫自己做左個dessert platter. 先食左個份子雪糕真係好特別, 酸酸地到梅的酸味. 另外我最鐘意既就係Chocolate Delice, 秦子粒同花生粒同埋朱古力的配合, 食落唔會好滯真係好好食. 再加埋其他唔同既甜點樣樣都精緻又美味令到我呢個weekend brunch畫上左個好完美既句號.   繼續閱讀

老實講,有幾可會特登入嚟紅磡?今次真係為左個新酒店同探下路而專程來坐坐,飲杯野。呢間酒店地點唔算特別就腳,不過有個無敵海景既先天條件吸引,就算出地鐵站要特意行過去都覺得值。先講講環境,分開室內室外兩部份,red sugar本身自己就分成兩部份,你到達後,接待員會問你是飲嘢還是中菜。而酒吧區室內都唔細,當日室內唔係太多人,而室外更加大,可以說香港少見這樣大型的室外酒吧,而每個矮桌矮凳之間私隱度都幾高,用了不少喬木植物去分隔每張枱,而高凳高就對正海景,不過要考慮海風直接吹你頭,陽光普照的天氣就不錯,如果好似當日我去的陰陰天,有件披肩都敵不過海風的吹襲。我也因為這個原因最後轉了枱。講講飲品,本來以為happy hour買一送一,原來改了指定飲品折扣優惠。我叫了一杯柚子xxx,名字忘記了,要了走糖水,有西柚特定苦味,證明是真材實料,而且大大杯,可以飲好一段時間。而重點係小食呀,非常好有三種不同小食提供,魷魚絲呢樣好耐無見啦,真的好有誠意,另外還有花生同薯片,當日我一個人到,每一樣份量都唔多,不過唔夠食,話要添,waiter都無拖手掙,咁樣反而幾好,食幾多就要幾多,唔好浪費嘛。唯一需要改善的地方就是,矮枱座位要叫waiter真係有d難,揮手示意好多次都無人見到,少少無奈啦。不過環境同飲品定價都唔貴,唔想落尖沙咀人山人海的酒吧區,呢度都係另外一個選擇。 繼續閱讀
